  3. Lightning Rod is freaking awesome on stalker....because it does not break hide. So it goes something like this.......BU+Lighting Rod+AS+Placate+TS= Alot of pain. I myself don't have a elec stalker..i'm more of a EM man myself..But that's how i would do it if i had one.

  5. It does not even out lol. Scourge will wreck compared to that extra 5% -res that you hope you can stack. Yea its true the debuffs are a little bit stronger, but with DR it does not really matter now. Also defenders do not get a defense shield as to where corrupter's do RI+Defense shield = win. They also get FA so they dont have to take lol tactics, also with FA you get -tohit res.. You put a Defender Vs. Corrupter i can bet the corrupter will rofflestomp the defender. O yea...corrupters get Webnade too. No way the defenders even come close to corrupters now. You looked at the numbers...i looked at what i see in arena and zone.

  7. O yea.. SR is lol now since they lowered the Elusitivity from 30% to 10%. Fire Armor is OK....but i would not pick it over regen. The problem with Fire armor is that your HP will be lacking. No Dull Pain FTW. Also..i might be going out on a limb here...but how is Invu now on scrappers??? I never see one..so either A.) Theu are horrible or B.) Most scrappers have downs and don't know how to play one properly. It would be cool to see one in zone. But never do. I'm going with option B

    Scrapper - Fire sword, MA, or Broad Sword
    Tank - SS or Fire Sword
    Brute - SS or Fire Sword
    Stalker - EM or Elec
  9. Mac is just trying to be nice....Defenders in general are horrible now. Make a sonic/rad/mace corrupter and you will be happy i promise. Defenders lost the unresisted debuffs...and basically got nothing in return ....Corrupters > Defenders. So..just re roll.

    There is nothing terribly broken about Thunder Strike's crit. It's crit chances make perfect sense when you take a quick glance at CoD's info...that "second" crit you see is simply the "AoE" portion of TS's crit going off, and it (like ALL AoE's) has a 50% chance of happening. The damage is as follows...

    [u]TS (Base dmg lvl 50):[u]

    96.74 Smashing Damage
    96.74 Energy Damage
    96.74 Smashing Damage (PvP only, if Hidden)
    96.74 Energy Damage (50% Chance; PvP only, if Hidden)


    As you can see...there's going to be "alot" of damage figures above your targets head. First, the "split" damage types-->Smashing and Energy. Next, you'll see the guaranteed critical from the smashing portion of the attack. Like Total Focus, Thunderstrike only has a 100% critical on the "smashing" damage portion of the attack...i.e. it's only a "partial" critical. However, since Thunderstrike also has an "AoE" attached to it, there is an "additional" chance to critical off the "AoE" portion of the attack. This critical, like ALL AoE's, has a 50% chance of happening. That is the "other" critical you see there, and 50% of the time, you'll have a chance to critical with the "energy" portion of the attack. So, 50% of the time, you will see two criticals happen, and a total of "4" damage figures pop up above your target's head.


    From my point of view, this is working as intended, no more no less. It makes perfect sense once you see what's happening. Now, if the dev's decide that they don't want it working that way, that's on them...but I think it's working fine. In fact, if Thunderstrike did see a nerf, ELM would lose out on damage SEVERELY, as the rest of the set is pretty much "LOL anemic" with damage. ELM doesn't even have a good follow-up attack outside of TS, so in my opinion, TS is having to pull the load due to this..

    I can almost bet that they will change this. The devs love messing with dmg types....and when a power becomes FOTM it is usally is nerfed. Take Ice blast for example..it use to have 3 types of dmg...cold/smashing/untyped..now it only has one and it sucks. No one has word on weather or not this is a bug....kinda up in the air. Kinda of like Lighting Rod not breaking hide when it is used...it even does a good bit of dmg. The reason for that is because it is actually considered a pet. Same reason why summoning water spout does not break hide. My biggest complaint is that if those dont break hide then Cloak of Fear and Opressive Gloom should not break hide as well. Dark Armor needs alot of work ...it is long overdue. Im hoping one day i could acutally play my dark armor stalker...lol
  12. Yea, fire is ok...but the only reason why somebody would/should play a brute in pvp is to taunt. Right now imo a brute with taunt is more useful then a pain dom corrrupter throwing at heals. The best brute to be a "taunt" bot is Inv. Over 3000 HP and great res to most dmg. But as far as i know WP is pretty gimp on brutes/tanks do to Rttc being messed up.

    How the hell do you survive a controller PB hold???? Won't the full duration be like 10 seconds if they PB it?? Thats a long [censored] time too be held..almost a death sentence. You say you play on freedom what toons do you play on that i might know? Your not El Chido One are you??? lol jk

    Most bubblers are for disruption more then dmg. Make sure you keep Force bubble up as much as possible. It messes up most stalkers AS......the only ones that should be able to get a AS of on you is WP or EA. Regen too only if he hits MOG...and he only has 15 seconds to do it. Make sure you just get everything that can disrupt...if i was you i would not slot for dmg ...but more for end drain. Especially target Regen stalkers in RV..99% of them don't take stamina and you will be able to drain them really fast. Make sure you take the elec pet too.

There is one big thing that accro gives that most people dont take into account....the hold res....if you like haveing controller holds lasting the full amount of time on you then don't take it..me on the other hand could not take it lol. You really need that hold res..unless your Rad and you have AM. But yea make sure you take accro on a corrupter. Because if i was a troller and found out you did not have accro...i would perma hold you lol.

  17. Umm..i have the fire shield+Plasma shield+Temp Protection+Tough...i can't get on to check the exact numbers..but i do think it was around 70% fire res.
  18. BTW, Confront is AOE so don't bite of more then you can chew. Also, last time i checked Taunt was auto hit in pvp. I'm pretty sure confront is too..just not 100% sure.
  19. My fire brute had like 70% Fire Resistance in zone with DR if i remember correctly...might be wrong though. I don't know about MA...isn't the only attack that MA has is eagle claw..dmg wise. Confront is like Taunt....that has a Debuff if you will to range. It does -75 range with each taunt. It stacks too, so you basically can make a range toon force to fight you in melee. Taunt/Confront is great in pvp, people just don't realize how good it is. 90% of the Tanks and Scrappers in RV on freedom do not take taunt (El Chido One LMAO). Most of them look at taunt as a PVE power and do not realize how OP that power can be. It's ironic because most of the Brutes in RV do take it...maybe that's why blue side is always getting its [censored] kicked. Nothing pisses off a blaster more when they have a corrupter/Dom to 10 HP and gets taunted lol. (Krytical).
  20. Defenders are so bad now. The only thing that's decent on Defender now is Storm/Dark. Because you get power build up which basically gives Dark Blast the much needed "aim" that the set is missing. Everything else roll a corrupter. O BTW ice blast is horrible in this game now dmg wise..and the devs gutted slows. So just save your self some fustration and re-roll to a corrupter (sonic/cold or Rad/cold are hawt). If you really want to stay blue side, just make a Storm/Dark Defender. It pwns in the right hands.

    LOL Sirens Call. All i can say is that yes i play stalker and the only thing that gives me problems is a skilled player...not the power sets. But if you really want to mess with a stalker and lol Widows (no idea why you need help against this..they are horrible now). Roll Earth/TA Controller....i'm not sure what they get at Sirens Call but i can tell you they are hell on wheels in RV if you play it right. Don't expect crazy dmg..but the disruption will be awesome. On a side note..you will be targeted...ALOT. lol

    That's because, thanks to DR, your Fire resistance is not even close to capped in PvP.

    As far as this topic goes: Fire/Spines/MA/BS will all do decently in zones paired with Regen.

    With DR if you go with tough you will be at about 75% fire res.
  23. Most people that play scrappers have Downs...but yea..what krytical said...i have been told, that fire does more dmg then Broadsword...and what ever you do, don't take spines. When i'm in zone, the only thing about spines that annoy's me is that the DOT keeps me out of hide..and thats about it...the dmg is pretty bad. So go either Fire or Broad and you will be fine. On a side note...fire might be better in zone because the fact that the DOT will keep stalkers out of hide longer for the blasters to kill them. O yea if you go regen make sure you get confront...-75 range is sexy..and it stacks. Just be smart and know when to use it. It will get you killed if you don't use it correctly.
  24. It's sad when the placate proc works better and more often then Stalker Placate. That's why Psi Blasters = Placate Blaster. But yea i think it was said a LONG time ago that this bug would be really hard to fix in the current system. I don't know if this will change now that they have alot more bodies on the dev team. But one can only hope.
  25. Fast healing is pointless. Take Water Spout and throw the purple stun set in there. (5 slot it).
