I was searching the forums and haven't found anything about a market competition. Everyone who reads here is fairly competent in making cash in the market, but I am surprised there hasn't been a friendly competition to see who is the best. A competition like this would be completely based on the honor system as there would be no way to truly monitor if anyone was cheating. I was thinking something like this:

1. First one to 1 billion wins.
2. Must start with a toon with a certain amount of money to get started. I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 million or so.
3. Each competitor would post screen shots twice a week or so to show the progress being made.
4. Have fun and profit.

Obviously there would have to be more rules than this, I was just thinking of a rough outline to get things rolling.

Would anyone be interested in something like this? I think it would be a fun side game for all the market experts out there. It would also be a small study on how long it actually takes to be EBIL....

Personally, I feel the rating system is fairly broken. I'm not sure how to fix it. But I know that I've often loaded a four or five star mission with dozens of votes, only to discover that it's Yet Another Damned Meow. Even selecting only multi-mission arcs doesn't completely avoid farms. Frankly, it's gotten to the point that if I decide that a mission is a farm, I quit and one star.

I didn't realize that quitting and leaving the stars blank was actually a rating of zero - I assumed that no stars meant that I hadn't voted. I do find it annoying that I have to re-rate a mission every time I play it, even with the same character. (And even with different characters, it doesn't feel consistent. If I rate an arc, then switch characters and search only for arcs I haven't voted on, the game excludes those arcs. Which that character has never seen.)

"Fixing" the rating system would be simple. Remove the 1-5 star system; only show the number of times a story has been completed. Not much of a rating, but it would remove griefing.

The people who are anti-farming are even worse. These people (from both 'anti' groups [market and farming]) will simply here the word market or farm and automaticly stop listening and proclaim how either have ruined the game.

There are several good guides here in this forum (listed in the "Controller FAQ" section). I recommend looking there.

Just after a quick look at your build, for PvE i wouldn't go with two travel powers. Go with Super Speed or Super Jump, not both. I would also ditch the leadership pool and go with the fighting pool. Tough and Weave will keep from taking a lot of trips to the hospital.

Also, Three slot Health. Put the Numina, Miracle, and Regen Tissue Uniques in there. Stamina doesnt need to have 6 slots. Most go with three, (I actually have four slots just for the extra recovery set bonus from Performance Shifter).

Five slot Fulcrum Shift. I'd go with Two recharge IO's, two Accuracy IO's, and one End reduction IO.

I'd put the purple hold set in Cinders instead of generic IO's, or at teh very least put in Ghost Widows embraces.
