    PvP Dom

Which of the secondary is better for a PvP dom: energy or electricity assault?

    Thanks
  2. I remember a long time ago, I read there there is a bind, or a /command, where you could zoom in and out on the mini-map without using the slider on the side. Does anyone remember what it is?

    Many thanks
  3. How much recharge does it take to make a double-perma-dom? I drafted up a few builds (with different sets combos), at max I can only get +125% without haseten. So, still short of 200% with hasten on.

Is it possible to make a double-perma-dom without outside buff, like SB?

    Thanks
  4. Good idea.

Always nice to have some practical/functional powers. Give more depth to the game play; keeps the game a lot more interesting.
  5. Is a melee dom more damaging or a ranged one?
  6. Does that make energy the best secondary to go with Mind?
  7. Is Mind/Psi equally as good? Just work up a Mind/Psi in Praetoria at the moment.

    Claws or NB?

For high ST: MA, Nrg or BS

BS has Parry to boost your def if you are going for def secondary.

KM also good but I don't seem to be able to get CS recharge my BU right out of hide. Odd.

    Dom vs GM

I have heard controller and blaster can do it. Just curious to see if a dom can...

    Dom vs GM

I have seen dom beaten up an AV. But how about a GM? Is it possible?
  11. Just thinking of making a ele/ dom or ele/ controller for PvP. I am more inclined to make a dom. Which secondary and APP or Patron are best to go with ele/ ?

    Thanks
  12. How effective it is as an end drainer if an electric control dom does not rely on Conductive Aura that much?

Also, which secondary goes well with electric control?

    Thanks

    Thanks.

But does /Regen needs Tactic and +preception proc as well to work in PvP?
  14. Which one out of /regen and /nin is better for higher level pvp?

Make Hide an inherent power instead of wasting a power from the secondary on it.

To be fair, all 2ary sets are forced to pick Hide as the first power. Which other AT has to pick the same power across the entire 2ary? It is not a bad idea at all to make it an inherent power.

Get some recharge and use Shadow Meld more often should be fine

    Regen vs SR

Which one is a better 2ary for stalker? For general use in PvE and occassional PvP

I know stalkers do not benefit from Regen because of their low HP. But aside from that, is it still a good set?

How does it compare to SR and perhaps WP too? Which will you go for?

    Thanks
  18. Stalkers can scrap and scrap very well indeed.

    Few things to remember though:

One of the major complaints about stalkers is their low HP/HP cap. But stalkers do have Hide and Placate. They draw less aggro than all other 3 melee ATs. So the way to compensate the problem is to carefully position youself before strike. Take out the biggest threat first to minimise the magnitude of the returning fire. Also, you don't always have to attack the target you have Placated: you just leave him there and scrap the others. So you have one less target to worry about - especially when you are juggling to tough targets. Picking defence or regen secondary helps out a bit too. That is why most people like /SR, /Nin, /WP and /Regen for stalkers.

Another common complaint is to do with playstyle, which has very little to do with the AT itself. Traditionally, stalker players did not play stalkers well: they mostly did hit-and-run or scout the map ahead leaving everyone behind. But that is just bad playstyle. If a player think of stalkers as scrappers with precision strike/high burst damage, and play so accordingly, stalkers are just as good as other melee ATs. By 'precision' I mean you can pick-and-choose which target to attack first, without drawing too much aggro to yourself. A good stalker player should not only just be able to make the most of the Hide-Crit capability but also be able to use their general melee scrapping ability as well.

Playing a stalker well needs thinking ahead before attacking, which is different from all the other 3 melee ATs. Their higher HP and armour mean they have a wider margin of error when engaging foes. Instead of the traditional charging-in, herd or taunt-pull, stalkers need to think how best to lay down the first hit (normally in the form of an BU+AS). Then of course, stay your ground and scrap, trying also to make the most of the sliding scale of crit chances. You need to find a rhythm or pace between the Hide-Attack-Hide cycle for your stalker (I have counted the semi-hide function of Placate as Hide as well for simplicity's sake).

So, yes, stalkers can scrap and certainly can have 'epic moments' (what ever that means). It is all up to how well a player choose to play them.

    Enjoy
  19. Ah, I see. Thanks

Does Pacing of the Turtle - Chance for Recharge Slow stacks with itself too?

Secondly, yes, I'm nearly 95% sure the devs will replace any damage buff variant with Build up for Stalkers. They did it for Claws, Dual Blades and Dark Melee because it didn't mesh with a self contained burst. That's not he cornerstone of the set tho. It's the secondary effect of the set that will really make the set stand out.

As far as I know, that Siphon Power comes with a (stackable?) -damage debuff of sort. Replacing it with BU in the stalker version, seems to be weakening the stalker version a bit.

I know that pets also count towards the damge buff. What if there is 1 stalker and 7 other MMs? Would the buff be, theoretically, higher than 31%?

Also, just being curious: what is the best/ideal/optimal/... way or strategy to play a stalker in a team?
  22. Yes, I was actually thinking of a KM/SD brute or a KM/SR stalker, depending on whether the stalker version of KM has Siphon Power or BU.

Also, I am debating as to which one can do more damage: KM/SR brute, KM/SR scrapper or KM/SR stalker. Or if I am to choose brute, which one will do better: /SD or /SR...

    Any suggestion?
  23. Does 'Dark Watcher's Despair: Chance for Recharge Slow' stacks with itself?

Try to respec my Zom/Dark and I notice there are quite a lot of powers where I can put a Dark Watcher's - Chance in. Would it stack and do -25%, -50%, -75%... recharge and so on?

And to more general question: does Debuff Proc stacks with itself from the same caster albeit from different powers?

    Thanks
  24. I know the info on Kinetic Melee still limited. But just curious as to which ATs will make the most of KM?

I know that KM gets a Siphon Power of sort. But how about the stalker version of it?
