Limited time offer is bad. As in gets me mad bad. There is no reason to do so. And mis-calling a clubbing-outfit pack a Valentine's Pack doesn't justify it. There is nothing Valentines-y about this pack. There is nothing Spring Fling-ish about this pack. There is nothing seasonal about this pack.
I already posted one screed about how my view of Marketing/Production is plummeting. This is the second. And it's plummeting further. -
Well, they did say this was a clubbing outfit, what they didn't mention was 'with her foot.'
As far as the male hair goes, we can use some more specifically villainous hairstyles like that. -
Quote:Because with the password he gave you, you were disguised as Ashley's father and were discovered. It's not going to work again.Ok, but seeing as how running Darrin Wades arc gives you the password to the Midnighters Club, why doesn't the Theft of Midnight Badge grant access to the club?
Afterall I know the password now,so why wouldn't I use it. Besides it's not like they can actually trace the theft back to me. -
Quote:Villainside you don't get access to MC until 30 because Darrin Wade's arc would be subverted if you were already a member of the MC.I hadn't really noticed it before, but I've run the hero side mission to unlock the Midnighter's Club with new heroes half a dozen times over the past month. Today I had a level 22 villain who was gathering badges in Cap and decided as long as I was there, I might as well get the Midnighter's Club unlocked...
Nope. Not a chance. The villain side arc is not even available until level 30!
Huh? I don't recall any canonical reason for doing it this way, so why? Granted the hero side story arc is ludicrous, but is that the only reason for the difference? Give the heroes a time-sink at a low-level and give the villains a faster, more internally coherent story, but do it at level 30 instead?
Can't see the logic in it.
The Club is no longer any kind of genuine "secret" any more, so perhaps a simple, one or two mission story arc similar to a Tip mission would be more appropriate? Maybe at level 10 for both sides? I mean, the villain I was working on today already has the Ouroborous mission done. Stumbled into it entirely by accident. Why the long delay granting access to the Midnighter's Club? -
It's true, the cards used to explode on impact with the floor and don't now. I've tried all the graphics settings from highest to lowest and it's still not working.
They nerfed our emote! -
Are ya sure you want the front belt cape?

Anywhere from a few hours to a few days. The Beta Server is not informed of account updates continuously like Live Servers are. The next time the Beta Server gets that info updated, you'll get in. Just depends when that cycles kicks in. And we have no way to track that.

Quote:You shouldn't get a League wipe if everyone is following the directions given above. If it happens, then they don't deserve to just get up and start from there. Start over and tell them to listen to directions or stop attempting this Trial. Thanks to all for the advice on how to complete this phase. Pulling penny rather than the voids is something we didn't try; if the voids have a set, consistent, predictable path then perhaps leaving them alone and just zapping them when they are next to penny is a good idea.
Are there any strategies for returning from a league-wipe in this room that I don't know about?

Oh, yeah, another tip: healing bubble on. -
The problem with The Coming Storm is that all the Beast Mastery toons will be useless hiding under the bed.
-
It could be that the ability to make 'worthless' PvP and Purple IOs 'worthy' ones will drive down prices... at first. If the PvP/Purple market gets low enough, people who have stayed away from them might become interested... driving the prices back up.

I've rarely been on a MoM that failed and that's mostly with PuGs.
The Voids, while technically pullable and some claim to have done it, are generally not pullable such that so many more Taunters swear that Taunt doesn't work than those who say it does.
But Penny is Tauntable. Or even without Taunt, attack and hide behind a column and she'll come running to the middle of the room. The Voids take a path that goes right through the middle of the room, so, pull Penny there and a Void will eventually pass by. They can be immobilized and kept there until you need to kill it. Everyone should be using Single Target attacks so as not to kill the Voids prematurely or mez them when they're too far away.
While Voids are tempermental WRT being pulled, they can be pushed. Torrent and Hurricane and the like will neatly position the Voids where you want them to go. Just make sure people don't use Immobs or Holds on them that have -KB. My D3 has Torrent and Tentacles, so, I can deliver a Void next to Penny at will. -
Quote:Two of the base Archetypes (MMs and Controller) and the Epic ATs were made pay-for when CoH went F2P. These are pet intensive classes and thus use a lot of gaming resources (and are a little bit harder to learn) and thus were the targets of "What can we hold back so that free players have an incentive to pay at least *something* since it would be pretty dumb to give everything away free cause then we make no money and don't get paid and our children starve?"I went and sent a ticket but was told to come here so I can find out why Masterminds where made unavailable unless you do one of the three things to get them.
Honestly why couldn't they do the whole LOTRO or DDO and made it available to people who already purchased the game?
So, you can get access to MMs by either subscribing or paying a one time cost for a license to use them while F2P (1,200 points which is $15USD). The third way is gaining them from the reward system which involves having spent some time subscribed or spending a certain amount of points on other stuff (namely, completing Reward Level Tier 5). -
Quote:We only have to convince the one who makes the final decision to agree with us.To put it another way, the compromise is between the developer at Paragon that says "lets release everything" and the developer at Paragon that says "lets keep content-connected rewards content-connected" and I'm sure there is at least one of each. They are both right, and both wrong, and neither is going to get everything they want, and by extention the segments of the playerbase they each represent will likewise not get everything they want.
Just kidding. I mean 'me.' -
They're working perfectly fine on Beta.

Almost all other non-MM Pets were flagged to not duplicate but instead to replace a long time ago. Gang War never was presumably because they forgot to or they thought no one would ever have enough Recharge to even attempt it.
So, if Gang War is no longer duplicatable, that would be considered a fix. -
We won't know til then send in the American investigators that include one hot female scientist that only has a two day window to find them before the mother of all Antarctic snowstorms arrive. Unfortunately, when they discover the terrible secret of ancient subglacial Antarctic lakes, the storm will have taken out the communications relay at the main base.

It will definitely be available only for the Super Pack. If that ever changes, it will be later giving the Super Packs a limited time of exclusivity.

Quote:After you purple-out the main 50s you play... what need is there for any more Inf? Through A-Merits and E-Merits, people are getting their own Purples and PvP Procs. So, again, what are you going to do with a Trillion INF? Grief the Auction House forcing everyone to turn to Tickets? What really confuses me is why almost no one else is doing what I'm doing. The profit potential is HUGE!!! I may become a trillionaire. I have seen other bids here and there. For a while I was in a bidding war with someone bidding X,090,000 or something like that, but then those stopped. According to Arcanna I pushed her out of the market because I drove up prices too high. Too high?

Looks super cool. But, why is the moon opaque? How come I can't see stars through it? That's very unrealistic.
