    599 Kinetics
    585 Dark Miasma
    555 Radiation Emission
    299 Storm Summoning
    287 Force Field
    273 Trick Arrow
    241 Cold Domination
    210 Sonic Resonance
    99 Traps
I'm actually surprised Dark is third although it's rather close. While I love the set and think it's one of the best, I hardly see it played. It's a crime that Cold ranks that low. It's as good as any other set.

Meh. I don't have the energy to write up another full on rant about healers in this game. My Ill/emp will run circles around any of them. I also find Emp lacking in the higher levels, but that's a different rant.

If a person wants to play a class that heals a lot then Empathy covers that. Please do take the attacks, slot them, and use them. If a person just wants to be a full support healing based character, roll a controller. Controllers are the support class no matter what silly things some of the outliner controller builds do. Controllers tend to be more fun for me anyway. I've made healers be bored and even reroll after being on one of my teams where I was playing a controller.

If the members of this forum though can start their own sites, and link to them on these forums, and on those pages find discussion of games, reviews, advertising etc. then how is this any diffferent then if we still had threads here about them. For isntance, Shadowrush's site has alot of information about other subjects, and movies and such. But almost everytime ihave gone there and followed a link there is a game of some type being advertised on the banner ads for the subject linked to here. So sure i might be going to see pic of the captian america movie, but im assualted with advertising for WoW when i go their. And advertising that i would assume someone is profiting off of.

Again i am not pointing fingers at you only. I know advertsing is everywhere. But it would seem to me that linking to sites that have a decent stake in discussing other games is just like posting threads here. I can understand saying oh well Superherohype.com is a fan site for many things. And its kinda out of control to say that you cant link to it because one banner ad comes up for a game. But if the site itself has one of itsmajor stakes in reviewing, advertising or discussing game releases, then i fail to see a difference to discussing it here.
As long as the games on the linked site aren't talked about then it's fine. If you start trying to counter indirect stuff you are really opening a can of worms that's simply not worth it.

But for the record, Cartoon Hero's blip channel actually is labeled "ThatGuyInTheCape" because I think that was originally going to be his alias before he realized how unoriginal it was.

As for the quality of his videos (I think you were talking about his). I know he isn't the best but I enjoy his videos because he's usually pretty informative.
Accidently hit refresh after a long response. *sigh*

The video I saw had inconsistent volume issues. The sound didn't sync up with his mouth at all. There might be the minor issue of using a "Vault Disney" clip as a segway to your vault. I think you just have to really think about the format you are using to put out the info. When there are that bad of errors they need to get fixed, or just try written, or purely audio format. Whatever the reviewer feels most comfortable with. The fact that the review style is a copy/paste of better known reviewers doesn't help.

Just curious though i was thinking this when that Shadow(whatever his name was) started pimping all his pasted links to his site, exactly how if we cant discuss games on these forums is it ok to post or link to sites that do sell, advertise and discuss other games and have that be ok within these forum rules?
One, and the worst part is the other reviewers are blatant ripoffs of the more established ones.

Two, We can't directly talk about games. What Shadowrush does would be considered indirect since they are talking about something else. I can link to my site(if I had one) that talks nearly non-stop about MMO X, but just link here to the other stuff on the site.
  6. The "posted on" doesn't always show the date. In none of the post do they show who the reviewer is going to be. One reviewer is labeled ThatGuyInTheCape, and don't get me started on that name, when his actual alias is The Cartoon Hero. Sound quality was subpar to start with and then there is the "and now we add in a comment about something that is taped separately and thus has a completely different volume level" moment. The effort is there, but the execution reeks of amateurism which shouldn't be there since ads are there. You put up ads, you are trying to pull in a profit.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. . I see most of the posts do give you an idea of who is doing it. I just happened to see one that didn't.

Just pointing that out. Other than that, I can totally see your point on this.
So "Indiana Williams and the (insert here)." I didn't even see the last movie so you can assume I will be avoiding the next one.

If you don't, you won't be healing/recovering yourself or getting most of your own damage buffs. Transfussion + FS should be calling the other ranged folk into tight ranks anyway, so if they're interested in damage buffs encourage your teammates to at least stay close enough to get the buffs that emanate from you. You just have to position yourself in between your squishy allies and the mob.

I also wouldn't write siphon power off completely. It doesn't need a lot of slots, but if you're on any team or task force that is "speeding" or allows for splitting up, it can be a big help. FSing a small crowd with one ally nearby isn't much better than SP and its recharge is way higher.
You don't need to be standing in the middle of melee to benefit from all of those powers. Know the range of the effect and stay within in it on a as needed basis. Psychic Scream also benefits from you being back a little to max out the cone. If you are talking Kin/rad, or Kin/elec then that's one thing, but my Kin/sonic played much differently than those two and I find /sonic to be similar enough to /psy to have an idea of how to play it.

On a Kin/psy I would look at getting ranged def up since that's where most mezzes come from and /psy can afford to stand back a little to blast. You won't be using Power Siphon at all. I would put as many slots into Siphon Power as you feel needed. SP is still useful against AVs for the debuff aspect.
  11. I grabbed a KM/shield once I figured out Overtake was a sweet name and somehow not taken on Virtue. I went brute just because Overtake feels more like a brute name. The idea of the +dmg/-dmg works well with the theme of overtaking something.
  12. 1. You are level 12 and have them at best 3 slotted. At 12 this means 2 acc, and a end reduc at DO level. At least, based on how I slot early on.
    2. You don't even have the heavy hitters yet.

Add in the previously well mentioned lack of Power Siphon and it's really not surprising you find it lack luster.
  13. I like both my DB/elec and DB/sr. Both are in their 30s so they are coming into their own. /sr will obviously be the sturdier one of the two which overs up DBs lack of mitigation(no sweep combo for me), but /elec is fun with the damage aura and the added end recovery.
  14. It's a sleep, but can be done at range and it pulses rather fast so even if they are woken up, they sleep again rather quick. Add in the -end aspect and it's a core power.

If only those were the only AoEs those sets got. Irradiate and Fireball do more damage. Dark also has T.T. and Nightfall and they also have base recharges of 10 seconds. Sonic's AoE is bottom feeder.
  16. Whatever I am playing.

    Fire/ice will be widely recommended.

    Sonic Attack -
Must Have: Shriek, Howl, Shout, Screech

Dreadful Wail is a bit of a special case, being a nuke, so it's a judgment call. The crash of the nuke will drop your endurance and therefore your toggles, so it's up to you whether that's worthwhile. Personally I find that it's nice to have the option.

I'll post more on this later if no one else has, don't have a lot of time at the moment.
Put EM Pulse as a must have and Choking Cloud as skippable although there is debate there. Move Scream to must have and Shout to good. Amplify could be moved to skippable just because I never take Aim like powers on defenders, but after i19 that might change.

Most fun read since early New Warriors for me. I thought it was a series as well. I should track down the issues I'm missing because I think I stopped at 9. I stopped collecting not due to dislike, but due to stop collecting at all.

I remember that. I don't think /invul was really talked about during that point so it was kind of out of the blue to see somebody pull it off.
