For me, I'm not positive I'd respond in the same way. When needed I do take charge (leadership pool lol), and my first 50 was based on me (emp/dark, a helpful, if moody shoulder to cry on).

In the game, though, I do solo a lot - and I am a "solo person" as well. I do okay in crowds but I prefer to remain alone. At parties (in rl) I don't join in the karaoke and make a fool of myself like that, but I will sit and chat with folks. In a team, I definitely am chatty but I will participate till the cows come home when I'm playing. I don't sit around and be meek in the game.

Norton sucks outright, don't use it. If you're concerned about things getting through your firewall... don't download or click from sites that may be hostile, use Firefox with Adblocker Plus.

I don't know what Vista uses but I'm on XP using Firefox and ABP, have never had any issues of spy/mal/virus ware *except ones which I knew I was in danger of getting when I clicked when I knew better*. I don't have a firewall running, and have pretty much never had a problem.

If you can't tell your firewall not to mess with COH, turn it off. As long as you're avoiding the obvious bad sites, and aren't actively downloading stuff while you're playing... I see no reason to really worry.

Yet, it would still be false. With I15 and the Architect Edition out on shelves, there have been a staggering number of new and return customers *on every server*.

Just because some of them hang out in Atlas to AE their lives away doesn't mean anything at all.

Get out of Atlas, start your own teams, join a supergroup with active players, join global channels, post here in the forums about events and tf's you want to participate in.

This applies on every server. Period.

Join globals. I assure you that Protector, my home for 5 years now, is NOT "all AE".

Find your own team - get down into the threads below, get on the globals, arrange things, get in supergropus, etc. Get to the right zone. People who are interested in PLAYING the game, will be in their correct zones already. Don't hang out in Atlas at 40 (say) and wonder why you can't find a mission team.

It's really amazing how you can see the draw distance and quantity when you're in a raid or invasion group. Back up by 50 yards and it's a completely different group of enemies.

We already can.

Be creative. Yes, the monstrous heads need a LOT of work, but even without those we've got plenty of options for ears, muzzle-like objects, and beaks.

I just take one quick sweep to see whether any of mine need Spam buttoning, and generally there's one but sometimes none. I'm pretty sure it DOES mean that the account's been banned, but like blackavaar has said, if you spam it it might cause a problem if you hit one on Empty. The global system is wonky enough without confusing it more lol.

Why would it stop other people from sending anything? The email box does not distinguish between spam and normal mail until you tell it it's spam.

Yeah I agree entirely - that mission is AWESOME.

I always make sure anyway, in and out. I got at least one sg badge that way, knowing I'd been by the badge location before but outside of an sg.

Any player who is in a supergroup gets the badges FOR the group - but if that character quits the SG badges they may have earned for the group stay WITH the group, not with the character/player.

If you go and get the exploration badges, do them both in and out of SG mode. The other badges don't affect individuals and can't be "carried over" to a new supergroup on a character.

Yup The tuatha have them too. But then those knuckledraggers have lots of things I'd like to get for my toons...

You'll definitely want to just create a new character or two, and take them through the tutorials and into the game - do the first tut, then when you have the ability get into the University to do that one - that's where you learn a bit about IO's.

SKIP the AE for the moment. You won't want to miss how to really play, since things did change dramatically since you've been gone.
