another alternate method to getting the heal badges is to use aid other on a vet buff pet, since healing powers seem amplified to about 4x normal and healing them at "full" still counts for credit (the reason credit is given at "full" is because they are like normal pets and have about 1070 hp at lvl 50 but a self applied power in their resistance does -maxhp which the game considers as dmg)
while it would be tedious to constantly be clicking aid self, you can get a little over 1000 heal pts credit per heal if you heal for more than 1100, so if you have high rech, low interrupt time and moderate heal enhance you could get it relatively fast -

Not that I've found, 23X. Best I've seen is the use of the /maxinactive fps 10 command. Looks like you can add that to the end of the shortcut's target line as follows:
"c:\program files\city of heroes\cohupdater.exe" -maxinactivefps 10
Which should cause whatever instance is in the background to cap out at 10 frames per second, thus freeing up some resources.
Someone mentioned in channel last night a command that is supposed to stop all rendering to the inactive instance, but I neglected to write it down. -
I sometimes dual box, and most of the time the second account door/ contact sits Is there an easy way to have two shortcuts one for "high level graphics" and the second is bare minimum?

I for one have no problem storing excess inf on alt toons with catchy names like Imholding1bill and only once have a deleted a toon that was still holding 1 billion inf.
but I guess there are a handful of folks that have north of 400billion and are running out of alts to store it on . -
personally I am taking the veng/fallout/mutation combo none really need slotting, and I suspect will rarely get used but will make me laugh to buff the team, blow up the scrapper and then rez him at the base of a of a Shadow Cyst in the ITF ...
ETA that is assuming I Respec him at all, with the current PPP mace bug (I get a working PFF and non-working Scorp shield) and honestly I find PFF pretty dern handy -

I may be unique but since the last rounds of PFF fixes my ill/rad can use PFF but not scorp shield. and yeah the attack chain of pet,pet,psudopet,pet, PFF (go get a coke) is most effective.

personally I would go for deceive instead of World of Confusion because
1.) you don't have to be in melee
2.) longer duration
3.) mag 3 Vs. mag 2
it is handy to deceive debuffers before the team rolls into the mob, seen this put to great use targeting longbow nullifiers on the RSF
also I think getting GI instead of SI may be more team oriented -
before GR my badge toon would take a weeks worth of based stored salvage and craft up 100 or so IOs and then all the alts would grab 10 and list through the week. I made a little extra inf and cleared out the 8 white salvage storage bins. Since GR my badge toon has lost access to the base ( red side day job badging) and it seems that generic IOs are moving at a very slow pace tho I think things have sped up a lot in the last week or so.

and if you didn't have to buy it for 2 billion in game then it has no real meaning or value ... to me at least. -

we are getting off topic here, but I'll answer.
People slot for recharge because there isn't a pill for that. you can get + dam +acc + def + res from inspirations so why spend time building those bonuses.
At least that is why I slot for +recharge. if there was a speed inspiration that would change my focus a bit.
also recharge isn't splintered like say def is you don't get recharge to AOE range and melee so it adds up a lot faster.
all that said, I won't defend that there is no problems with the bonuses that current sets offer, but the only real fix would be to make more sets not change the ones we have and that can of worms could be huge. -
seconded ... need to get this into the costume thread. and hope it doesn't become a $10 boster pack instead

Well, Castle said items selling at or above the price cap is an indication that the system is "broken". This suggests that they would like to do something about it.

Sure this is just a game, but a MMO has to have a large play field, if you aren't sincking the time into the game, you can't expect the returns. -
I would like to send a public thank you to Dayspring and Ryan for the STF run last night. The Laughs carried me through a rather frustrating day at the office today.
Also I'll never be able to look at Lord Recluse again and not giggle madly. -
I use both Chocking Cloud and EM Pluse on my Fire/rad. I have CC slotted for duration and the lockdown proc (I put one of these everywhere I can on every toon) I find it effective both solo and teaming, though less noticable on teams as mobs get one attack off, choke and then die.
EM pluse I use ofen, I have the recharge and recovery where as long as I have a blue, I rotate cinders and EMP every other mob solo, or use both for insta mag 6 hold on EB/avs then start stacking the chars. -

"group farming" can be efficient game play and nothing more. I remember running the last respec trial when it was called a money bags run ... I never thought of it as farming. However if someone said "Lets farm the third respec trial" .. well then would that be group farming?
personally I see farming as repetitive content and/or resetting a mission. so group farming I guess could be running the "Demon map" with friends for an hour or two resetting it every few minutes.
However when I do an ITF "at the speed of dUmb" that isn't farming just being efficient (though at 22 minutes and doing 8 in a day some may call it that.) -
while we are getting free fitness "because everyone uses it" can we get free Hasten as well. I am sure the same everyone that picks fitness also picks hasten.
also we'll need hasten that much more no so we can burn through all the extra endurance we'll have now.
Or is that too much to ask right now ... yeah may need to wait an issue or two. -
I'll sell you my tank's build for 8 billion (plus enough respecs to unslot everything) then you can brag about having an 8 billion dollar tank, thats 6.4 billion more than Steve Austin!
