Yes, as a private server but not likely to revive within the year and it won't be the same.
I expect it to look something like this:
4 servers online
200-300 users at peak hours, off hours number in the 40's
Ain't much but I'll take it. I still play the scthack PSO server despite the meager population of 100 or less at peak hours and various other shortcomings... -

Its an unused room under the PI arena gotta go out of the map. theres a hole in the north war wall, get through the hole run north off the map till you actually fall off and the run back along the botom till you under the arena and type /stuck and you'll end up here.

EDIT: found the hole! For anyone looking for it, the hole is up in the NE corner of PI you have to jump up until you hit an invisible platform (if you aren't you get an "You cannot enter" prompt or get sent to Talos) then strafe left to fall through the hole, run along the "wall" to align yourself with the arena (makes it easier to do a straight run ahead) then turn and head north until you hit the drop-off then follow the above quoted stuff. -

Have you ever played Perfect World? PWI is HORRIBLE, their namesake game is a pay-to-win nightmare.
-You can shell out money for their cubigold and convert that into ingame currency
-You can BUY AN NPC TANK to run the dungeons for you
-Most items from the cash shop can't be bought individually, you have to buy a lottery box and hope you get it
-That lottery box you just spent $10 on can contain a level 1 potion instead of the sword mount you were after
-As a venomancer, if there's a rare pet you want you're ****** unless you buy an egg off the RMT campers or item mall
CO isn't like that...yet but I'm still wary of giving that company any money. -
My experience with CO... the costume creator is decent, the combat system is fun, story and community are extremely off-putting if you're not interested in being a campy DC style hero.
I luckily came into a supergroup of CoX players that are accepting of any allignment. Outside of that supergroup though, there is a lot of hostility towards people playing anything other than your run of the mill hero.
The only acceptable evil is MRP-flagged succubi, were-creatures and vampires. And that is MRP as in "I will ERP but saying MRP makes me seem like less of a *****" not "I am open to mature, non-sexual situations". -

Unless you played a werewolf biker dragon god or a certain someone that *pulls water into your lungs and turns it to ice, you cannot breathe and are dying* then you can get bent. A lot of good, kind people quit RP or the game altogether because of your petty antics and/or control issues. If there is any consolation I have from the game meeting a potential end, it is that either one of you lose this incarnation of your marysue characters.
That aside...
I will not miss the above mentioned dragon god werewolf biker or watery godmodder. Nor will I miss the OOC drama that came with being within 50 yards of them.
I will not miss the ERP solicitors (but it is a matter of time before I run into those types elsewhere... that's just how nature works)
I will not miss paying rent -
As much as the majority of us view them as scum that's more evil than the devil himself, any dirt found would likely be uninteresting.
Just a bunch of no-fun-allowed stiffs. -

The way you've titled this thread encourages way too much doom and gloom speculation and hampers motivation to save or preserve this game through other means.

Not necessarily good news. Talks may have failed and NC refused to release the IP but the devs can't tell us that because there may be an NDA. (though I don't fully understand if an NDA would work like that)
