It's our own fault. We failed to give the correct answers. They will keep asking the questions until they get the answers they are looking for.

Overall the movie was good.
As was mentioned, not enough time spent on earth. Thor's transformation from arrogant to humble was too abrupt. They could have added another 30 minutes to the movie and I wouldn't have minded at all if it had been spent on that aspect of the story.
My wife, who knows nothing about the comics, really wanted to see more of his relationship with the Warriors Three, and I agree it would have been nice.
Way too much time spent on Loki and Odin's relationship. Yes, it sets up Avengers, but this is supposed to be Thor's movie, and was distracting in general and honestly I didn't care. I just wanted the story to get back to Thor learning humility.
I felt there was too much emphasis on comedy, and not enough on Thor's sheer badassness. It almost felt like Thor and Loki's personalities got switched. Loki was always dead serious and Thor was the jokester, when it should have been the other way around.
I REALLY loved how they portrayed Thor's hammer spinning. That made the movie for me. -
Temp travel powers, AND TRAVEL POWERS THAT PEOPLE PAYED REAL MONEY FOR are still not working in PvP zones.
I ask again, is this WAI or is it still broken. Would be nice if SOMEBODY would at least aknowledge this issue.
Hello?
Anybody there? -

Quote:Have you looked at the crits for Scrapper Char? It critted for around 1300 damage.Fix the Char crits how exactly? I happen to have that on 4 pvp scrappers. The way the Char crits work are the same as Ring of Fire as far as i could tell, so why change one and not the other?
Anybody have an idea about this?
Also,
Quote:Incarnate Powers
Ion Judgement jumps are now properly set to ignore the effect of player buffs like the rest of the Judgement powers.
It's great that they are not accepting damage buffs now, but they are still jumping to the same target multiple times. I just got hit for ~4000 damage in RV when it jumped 11 times. If this is WAI there doesn't seem to be any reason to take anything OTHER than Ion for PvP. -
So, is it intentional that temp travel powers (i.e. Ninja Run, Raptor Pack) are now disabled in PvP? Not seeing anything about those in notes.
For the record, that would be a bad decision, particularly in regards to the powers that people payed real money to get. -
Kind of sad when the biggest factor in a shows survival is how many toys can be made from it.

Quote:Same here. May AoE elemental based characters are swimming in Rares relative to the number of trials done. But my single target lethal damage scrapper with multiple team buffing powers and debuff procs gets nada 50 some trials in. And with her, I've taken the time to organize and lead at least ten successful trials--a boon to my playmates on Triumph as any successful lead can be. Happy to do it. But to have a borked reward system that seems to keep those rares and or very rares out of her reach? Blech.
Plus, with all that playtime, I've not gotten a single purple drop since i20 launched.
This seems to be the case with me as well. My AoE Corruptor has gotten many rare and 1 very rare drop. By way of comparison, my single target Scrapper has gotten only one rare and almost all common or uncommon drops with nearly 2x the number of runs.
It seems once again, AoE is the way to go. -
That reminds me of a town I drove through that had a funeral parlor across the street from a wedding planner. It was impossible to leave one store without seeing the other.

Quote:That or he gets tired of watching 100 people broadcasting LFT. He *does* actually run the team from time to time though. Definitely an odd fellow but harmless really.
This.
I know the guy, and yes this is exactly what he is doing. People should be thankful that somebody is willing to put together a team when there's a room for of people broadcasting for one. But no, we get people complaining instead. -
Ion is a new Incarnate power that is bugged currently. It deals significantly more damage than it is supposed to. There is a patch being downloaded to the servers at this very moment which may be a fix for that.

Quote:How on Earth do you think there will ever be a chance to have any OTHER version made if we don't at least get the pumped primed with this upcoming show? Do you think any network exec is ever going to consider the idea of making YOUR version of Wonder Woman if they see you pissing all over this one?
Think about it people. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot with all the nerd-rage...
The argument can very easily be made that a bad version is worse than no version, as it could do infinitely more harm for any future versions that might come up. If this current version stinks to high heaven, as many here believe it will, than studio execs might look at it as a concept that can never succeed and not ever look at it again. Every time somebody proposes a new, possibly good verson, they will point to this failed experiment and say "If David Kelly can't make it work, nobody can. No thanks."
I would rather they pass on this steaming pile in the hopes that something better can come along. I've waited this long for WW to come to the screen. I'd be perfectly happy to wait longer for a version that is actually good. -
Television is furniture. Anything worth watching is going to be on DVD or internet anyway.

Quote:Strictly speaking, no it doesn't bother me because of the source of her strength and the lore behind the character.Really? Does it bother you that Supergirl is a thin little girl who is almost as string as Superman?
Let's face it, Buffy was a comic book, just in a different medium. Her strength had nothing to do with her physical mass any more than Supergirl's does.
I think people are misunderstanding the reason for my disbelief. It has less to do with the source of WW or Buffy's strength as it does with the lore of the character. WW is a Amazon, born and raised in a warrior culture, trained extensively in all manner of martial combat. This has been true through all known continuities of the character. With any kind of training of that sort comes fat loss, muscle developement, and a corresponding weight gain. It takes a concerted effort to train in that manner and not gain weight. This girl they have playing the role doesn't have that look. She doesn't look like she has ever spent more than 5 minutes at a time in a gym. She is soft. She can be 90 lbs of lean muscle, much like Callisto from Xena was, and be able to portray the character convincingly. This girl cannot.
The same is true of Supergirl for that matter. She is written as young and inexperienced, with virtually no actually fight training. She should be small and non-muscular for that reason. She has been able to get by on her powers and smarts without having to actually exert herself in a way that would cause muscle developement. However, compare her to her closest counterpart, Powergirl. Powergirl is older and has had far more training not just in the use of her powers, but in the use of her body as well. She is stronger and, more importantly, looks like she has had training. She is the embodiment of female strength and physical ability, and what I know a fight capable woman actually looks like. -
Quote:What can I say? I like my fighting women to actually [i]look[/] like they can fight and inflict real damage if necessary. And I never really cared for skinny women anyway. The fourth season is considered the worst by a lot of folks, but I can't believe you refused to watch the last few seasons just because SMG dropped some poundage.
I mean you missed out on "The Body," Giles' pimp return at the end of season six, and probably the most epic series finale ever.
Gah, man! Gah.
It's something of a byproduct of my military and MMA training. I have taken real punches from people roughly her size, and I know that no matter how hard she might wind up for it, it's not gonna hurt much because she simply doesn't have the physical mass behind it. I have a really hard time with suspension of disbelief when it comes to things like that. I have a feeling that with the growing popularity of televised MMA, a lot of shows like this will have to be more realistic in their depiction of fighting if they want to get viewers on board. -
Quote:There's a presence factor to take into account as well, though.
I mean as Buffy the Vampire Slayer went on, Sarah Michelle Gellar got skinnier and skinnier while at the same time getting more and more badass.
And that's a big part of why I didn't bother watching the last 3 seasons. Lazy writing and the Angel spinoff being better (most of the time) were the others. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far, and somebody who weighs 90 lbs being able knockout somebody twice their size goes way beyond that. -
She still looks terrible for the part, but at least they came to their senses and went with the darker pants and red boots.
If they can get her to put on at least 10 pounds of muscle I might actually be able to believe she could fight her way out of a wet paper sack. -
That's why I PvP. A thinking, (usually) intelligent opponent can provide more challenge than a whole map full of NPCs. The only PvE I do these days is TFs for shards.

Tsoo are my favorite group. They are the first enemies you come across that use teamwork and buffs/debuffs, and they seem to have a better AI then most other groups. I really wish they appeared at higher levels.

The baddness that made that movie so awesome cannot possibly be recreated. It only came about through the impossible convergance of so many bad elements that it trancended bad and became awesomely bad. What could they possibly hope to accomplish by trying?

Quote:He's got that going on, true, but he makes Shatner's acting look Shakespearean in comparison.
That's funny because Shatner was fairly well known as a Shakespearean actor before Star Trek. -
I don't trust Hollywood to do the movie right. They could cast a super intelligent strain of broccolli and my expectations couldn't be lower. I truly believe this movie will be horrible regardless of who they cast, so it might as well be a big name star.

I really hope that isn't the actress playing WW. She looks like she ate a meal once, about 4 years ago. WW is a warrior and should look like one. This girl looks like she just escaped from a refugee camp.
I have a strong feeling this show will not be for me. -
Quote:I'm not sure we're thinking the same thing. AE has some AWESOME stories in it, but if your buddy hit 50 in a few hours...he skipped EVERYTHING. He skipped every single thing in the game. And for what? Fifteen bucks?
What a waste.
Who's to say he actually missed anything? For myself, after a dozen or so 50s before AE existed, I can say that there isn't much left to be missed. I'd gladly pay fifteen bucks just to skip all the same stuff I've done hundreds of times already.
