    As of right now:

    1.5 Billion on 1/26
    2.0 Billion on 1/25
    1.96 Billion on 1/25
    2.0 Billion on 1/25
    2.0 Billion on 1/25

With 14 for sale and 1,597 bids... you can still easily get 2 Billion.

Do it now before Converters go Live.

They usually sell for that much on the Market rather quickly. Most player to player sales are done to bypass the 2 Billion inf limit in the Market, which is no longer the trend since the price of these is starting to fall given the building up of Merits (from Super Packs) and Empyreans (from non-stop iTrialing).

Yes. The final double AV in DiB may be a bit challenging, but I'm sure the playerbase will work out a fast and efficient strategy.

It's basically there for folks who've played through the story arcs already and want a fast track to higher level toons with other powersets or ATs. It really shouldn't be used for newbies to bypass content and the learning curve... that puts them at several disadvantages later in the game ("what's a Positron Task Force" and "what's a recipe?").

Reichsy also has: Unbreakable and Unstoppable to contend with. When they're on, you may think that his Untouchable status is back and then be tempted to use the Grounding Ray again... but it has no effect. It's coincidental that god-mode powers wear off when you use GR again.

That's observer bias. The full set of all ATOs appear in both rarity tables.

Then I got distracted by important things like changes to riftstalker tanking mechanics, and when I came back...

I hadn't bought any, and they were running 1-2M.

    Huh?
Ticket farmers have grown lazy and lax.
  8. Why are people personally selling these things for 2 Billion, when you can put them on the market and get 2 Billion, or, if you put out a bid for 2 Billion, you wind up getting that bid filled?

I can see if they want to sell something for *more* than 2 Billion, then they are forced to go outside the Market; but since the Market deals with these 2 Billion sales rather well... why not just use the Market?
  9. ATOs are of the Rare (Orange) level of power, even the ones that come from a Very Rare card in a Super Pack, since, as has been discussed above, both the Rare and the Very Rare cards pull from the same ATO 'pool'. (Although, a few of the ATO Global Set Bonuses are either greater or less than normal Rare level of power.)

ATOs can be made into a Very Rare (Purple) level of power with a Catalyst.

See this spreadsheet of Enhancement types.

    3D TV's and CoH

I just say Journey 2 in 3D in an IMAX theater. I enjoyed the 3D. I didn't enjoy the penalty to IQ the movie inflicted upon me.

We think Twitter is a great place to be a bit more casual with our fans while Google+ gives us a place to hang out (literally) with you.

We'll continue to syndicate important news items on all three networks, but we feel each network brings different, compelling opportunities to interact with you all.
Welcome, and let me be the first to challenge your policies (it *is* the Internet, after all )...

How many of those Facebook 'friends' are 'friends' because there was a promotional emote giveaway (/facepalm) that required a Facebook account and friending CoH versus people who like and use Facebook and friended CoH on their own accord?

Put a GMOTD pop up in the game announcing that folks can get an emote giveaway by signing up for the forums (and give us /doublefacepalm) and I guarantee you the forums will suddenly have a larger audience than Facebook.

And speaking of Twitter, please don't do anything to increase the number of Twitter posts per day. I'm already considering stopping the direct-to-smartphone alerts because the Twitter posts are starting to become too numerous and spammy... there were already 10 posts in the past 24 hours. We really didn't need each place in the costume contest to have its own Twitter posting. That's akin to those oft-made-fun-of folks who constantly Tweet every little thing they're doing all day long. Or maybe create a second Twitter account for spammy stuff like that leaving the main channel open for important alerts.

    Anyway, welcome, again!

Common IOs don't have bonuses attached to them. Global Bonuses are that which are subject to the -3 rule. Global Bonuses don't come from Common IOs, but from IO *Sets* and Special IOs from Sets that have an individual Global Bonus attached to it (e.g., LotG:+Recharge).

Damage, Recharge, EndRedux, Range, etc... are not bonuses, but the *Aspects* of the Enhancement. Aspects always work, and when Exemplared, scale down... they don't shut off.

also Enhancement boosters - they seem to work on SOs up until 53, but not on 53s or higher... but can they take IOs to a higher level and what is their effect on Procs?
SOs don't take Enhancement Boosters. SOs can only be made more powerful by combining them for the +, and ++, increases in the power of the Aspects.
  14. I'm going to guess that the MM ATOs will be cheap and not because MMs aren't popular... they are. But because the MM ATOs are awful.

The Scrapper ones should wind up to be very expensive, not so much because Scrappers are popular... they are. But because the Scrapper ATOs are fantastic.

(I seem to remember hearing that someone changed the costume files so that every toon appeared nude on that one person's screen, whereas everyone appeared normal on their own screen. Urban legend?)
You character's appearance is saved server side. You can only alter the server's database of what your toon is wearing through the tailor interface. The server then tells you and everyone else what your toon looks like (i.e., what it is wearing), and everyone's client on their computer pulls up the correct textures stored locally to create your character's look.

You can save costume sets locally in a .costume file. These files are just an aid for you to put together 'looks' for your toons. Rather than selecting piece by piece in the tailor interface, you can call up a saved look from a .costume file all at once. The tailor interface, communicating with the server, may disallow certain pieces. The .costume file doesn't get around what the server says you're entitled to wear.

Since the textures for the costumes are stored locally, there are ways to alter them. E.g., you can take, e.g., the Trident Chest Logo and alter it so it's a Mickey Mouse Chest Logo. So that when the server says, "Put the trident logo on the chest," you see the Mickey Mouse logo instead. However, that's all done locally. The server is telling everyone else you're wearing the Trident Logo and so, that's what they all see.
  16. They'll probably pick an appropriately themed day to release "Death Incarnate", like Halloween. So, I'm going with Oct 31.

Zyphoid: No bow and shield, there just was not enough time allocated for them.
I understand that shiny Orange and matte Orange look different.

But on the Celestial armor, I can make the really black parts lighter to match the grey of the metal plates so that they look just about exactly alike. Are you saying that those lighter grey metal parts can't get any darker because of metallic reflective shading? Or was that an artist's decision to make the armor two-tone and impossible to get all-black?
  18. I have bought FIVE CEs for my 2 accounts and as gifts to friends and I'm all for releasing Slide through the market.

So, answer this, Paragon Studios: if every player that was playing CoH at the time that the CE came out wanted to buy a copy, would you have denied them because you wanted to create a limited exclusivity between haves and have-nots? Or would you have happily printed out enough copies for everyone who wanted to give you an extra $50 for it? If the latter, then it was never really a "Collector's Edition" but a "Deluxe Edition" and continuing the limited exclusivity makes no sense. Let others buy into the Deluxe Version of powers.

But even if it was meant to be limited, wouldn't it still be limited because there aren't any more boxes being made and no more Heroclix figurines being made?

And wouldn't it still be limited by those willing to purchase Slide v. those who won't or can't?

And if this is meant to be a Collector's Edition... does this mean it's OK now for me to sell off my second account on EBay? After all, the usual meaning of "Collector's Edition" is that I own it... not you, despite your EULA. You violated your EULA which normally gives you ownership of everything by labeling something you sold me as "Collector's." If you still own it... I didn't collect it. And normally, as a collector, *I* own it. And I can sell it to other people for profit, because a "Collector's Item" goes up in value over time. Those few boxes that are still out there are going for $100... the collector's value has increased. So, now, I want to sell my Collector's Edition to someone else for $100... but how can I sell Slide once it's been attached to my account. Obviously, this is tacit permission from you, maintaining that this is a Collector's Edition, that I can now sell off my account on EBay without any repercussions.

Of course, the easy out is to create a different version of Slide... one without the aura and put that on the market and all things are reconciled. In fact, I'd happily buy a version of Slide without that aura which is almost as blindingly garish as SuperSpeed's. I love Slide in that it reduces the motion sickness inducing jiggling of runners. But I hate the aura. Give us Inherent Power Slide without the aura, please.

I don't understand that. If it's trademark/IP from within the company, then the company owns it and can do with it as it pleases. Why is that an issue?

As a villain, I killed Miss Liberty in cold blood. I'm pretty sure the press knows exactly what to make of me. And seriously, when have Dr. Doom or the Joker or even Lord Recluse given a crap whether or not the public loves them?
Well, it worked for Lex Luthor and Killface.

As stupid and inexplicable as it is, that's the way it is.
