Drowning in Blood?

So is this basically going to be a higher level DFB? That's what it sounds like which IMO is very cool because things like DFB and/or DIB seem to really be what players are into these days. I mean go hang around Ms. Liberty when there is a crowd and that's all players are teaming up for. It will be cool to do somethng similar but on a higher overall level with more powers available. That is if that is what DIB is?

Yes. The final double AV in DiB may be a bit challenging, but I'm sure the playerbase will work out a fast and efficient strategy.

It's basically there for folks who've played through the story arcs already and want a fast track to higher level toons with other powersets or ATs. It really shouldn't be used for newbies to bypass content and the learning curve... that puts them at several disadvantages later in the game ("what's a Positron Task Force" and "what's a recipe?").

Let me start by saying that I haven't had a low-level character in years.

I was interested in running DFB for the badges on my main badger. Wow. It is fun, engaging, challenging, and easy to understand, and allows for multiple strategies as well as different team makeups. In summary: it's everything I wish the UGT was.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Well, I can't really agree with the challenging part. It's unbelievably easy and not at all dangerous. Well, unless you don't pay attention at the hydra heads.

I suppose getting the Cadaver Counter badge can be a pain considering 4 out of 5 teams don't pay attention to what is necessary for the badge.

And the ones that once someone does kill a cadaver, ignore the Xp-giving AV, and go after the "summoned" cadavers.

I really have mixed feelings about those trials.

I now know 2 new players to the game that barely realize there is *content* out there, because all they do is DFB and then complain it gets slow and boring after lvl20.

This is sanctioned and built-in PLing. It's a viable choice, but I'm concerned it's quickly becoming the default choice.
It's incredible the number of lvl20 something that have no clue how to use their AT or understand the mechanics of the game.

I will agree that DFB is anything but challenging expect to get your team to cooperate to get the badge.

So we already know there are people who farm the DFB long after they are "supposed" to. I predict what will happen is now people will just do the DFB the minimum number of times to be able to start farming the DiB to get as high a level with it as possible.

The Devs probably should have built in some kind of cooldown to these trials just to encourage the narrow-minded to have to go out and play other parts of the game to gain XP. Maybe they could have linked that to say the 1 year Paragon Reward badge so that if you're a "newb" you can't get XP from these trials continuously. But I suppose the argument could be made that if these folks are somehow having fun running the same trial dozens of times in a row then who are we to force them to enjoy anything else?

At the very least having a path for people to easily PL themselves built into the game removes the motivation to hire third-party RMT PL services. *shrugs*
