This turned out to be a 3 1/2 hr marathon =), I showed but they said all the teams were set, had a couple beers and watched tv instead grats on the red ho defeat.

I think this is one of those additions that sounds cool, but once tanks get access to it will be meh in short order.
BS shares the same bleh animations as mace/axe (& redraw), and even with all the buffs to weapons sets recently, you don't see them burning up the build requests around here.
I would rather have access to electric melee before BS personally. -

Didn't I say you were chomping at the bit to corrupt that shiny new hero the second GR was live.
The only thing I don't really like is the dark dirty look of most maps redside, obviously there's a reason, though after awhile it's kinda like bleh. -

Hello there, well there've been quite a few updates to the mace in the past few years, mostly brought on by weapon customization and a new found interest in the set.
Quick recap,

Increased radius of War Mace Crowd Control from 5 to 8.
Decreased radius of War Mace Shatter from 10 to 8, but increased its arc of attack from 20 degrees to 45 degrees. Crowd Control and Shatter changed from knock back to knock down

And the biggest update came last Dec, thanks to Castle,
Clobber: Reduced Recharge Time to 16 seconds and alter damage scale and endurance costs to match using the standard formula. This means it it now a pretty hard hitting attack, with a damage scale of 2.29 and a base endurance cost of 15.18. Since this is now classified as a Damage power rather than a control power, the base duration of the Stun effect was reduced from scale 10 to scale 5.
Shatter: Reduced Max Targets Hit from 10 to 5.
Crowd Control: Increased Max Targets Hit from 5 to 10.

So mace has been quite a project in recent years, and to get an idea of where it now ranks among the other sets take a look at Starsman's charts.
Mace currently has good attack speeds, some disorienting capabilities, an accuracy bonus, moderate endurance use, heavy smashing aoe, and strong ST damage.
On the other side you could say it only has moderate stun effects,
and comparatively lacks a "wow" power ie Total Focus-Knock Out Blow, although Crowd Control is now like a half Footstomp.

If I miss anything, it's the non zone capped Hami raids. On champion they were 'the' social mayhem event, both fun and troublesome, but always entertaining.

After that, I'd pick ss over fm even if just for rage, footstomp and kob. -
My fire tank works the hell out of fireball and fire blast.

Tanks, they come closest to a Superman AT without buffing aid.
I love my stone/stone Brute (also have ss/elec), but that's because it's more like a Tank then any of the other secondaries.

Tundara also lobbied for ice melee buffs in the same manner a while back, and after about a year of mostly polite suggestions and nudging it got a nice upgrade (an attack equivalent to footstomp w/ ice damg).
Castle is nice, he's reasonable, I've got pms from him despite the claim he answers no one, I know plenty of others do to. But they don't respond to insults, and requests have to be reasonable, there wont be anymore i4 god mode changes. -

No the real answer is a certain poster found another redundant thread to latch onto. I'm not trying to be mean to you, but really, broken record dude.
Castle is unlikely to respond to you, but if you feel the need, start your own thread with various suggestions like I did with war mace way back when and muster support for it. It took a couple years but mace got a great buff and Castle said it was directly because of the support that thread had, and how long we kept it going.
You'd have to learn to talk with us rather then at us, but it could be a fun project, if you're that passionate about whatever.

If your gf has an emp, your sd/axe will be just fine. Super strength is the current fotm paired with sd/, but axe is pretty solid.
Be sure to say please while spamming 'is your AB up yet', it's sure to contribute to a happier gaming, and home life experience. ;] -
While painful to level, a stone/* tank is pretty much a shoe in on an STF.
Finding a Kin for either tf is generally not a problem, but leveling up a stoner without one can be grindish, with the payoff in having a toon that will probably get you on one of those tf's with regularity.
Most tank primaries work for any tf/trial, plenty of players including me have even tanked Recluse on a fiery aura, but Granite is the closest current tankers get to god mode, which makes picking one for a pug tf a lower risk.
