When you hit 50 it gets even worse. The Mr. Awesome (which I am any way) syndrome kicks in, and people do what ever they want. They leave the group, to kill on their own (which makes me wonder why they team at all), or they pull 3 other groups to the one the team is already struggling with.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Learn from experience, and from the comments made here.
Poop happens. I did a TF after taking ambien last night. I was not at my best (didn't think it would kick in so fast), and was embarrassed. I apologized, and they forgave me. Admitting that you screwed up can go a LONG way. -
Quote:All my characters are immortals...Play a hardcore character and ignore your inspirs. I dare you.
FYI for those not in the know, hardcore means you delete the character if you die. There is even an SG for it on Justice and we generally play 8pm-10pm eastern on Thursdays.
I have thought about why I save inspirations.
There was a time in the game when they didn't drop very often, and the ability to change 3 of into 1 of another is still new.
I found myself in need , and without, so many times I guess it just created a habit in me. -
Quote:I am pretty bad for this too. I had 2 trays full of presents for a month or more after the Christmas event.
I used to never use them. Never. I'd hoard them and save them for the times I "really needed" them
One day I will stop hoarding them I guess. -
Go with DM/SR then take hasten, get the Sands of Mu, then flurry from super speed. At that point you could just keep stacking them on top of each other.
I guess EleA could work also. -
-
Have them drop everything to work on changing the Hasten animation, and if there is time make pool powers customizable.
I have a feeling that a day is not long enough to get anything done that I really want. -
Great choice. DM can be a very fun set, and is one of the few primaries I have played into the 40s more than once.
-
I have not played regen in years, but I do play KM a lot. The one thing I noticed is I would drop repulsing torrent, and take a travel power. Temps are disabled in the incarnate trials (which you may not plan to do), which includes ninja run, and beast run. Really frustrating not to have a travel power.
It looks like you were slotting for +Def also, So I will give the floor to others who are far better than I with that. -
Quote:Sad that this was once the total opposite.
Regen is probably the hardest secondary to play.
I like secondaries that are self sufficient. Which to me is anything with a self heal, and help with end management. I have found that in the past years I have had the most fun with /DA and /EleA because they seem to stand on their own.
Primary for me is about style! All scrapper primaries are good, but what looks the coolest while being good? KM and DB have a ton of style. YMMV -
I would be overjoyed. I find it doubtful however.
I don't remember a Thursday release, and I don't think the pre-download has been done, unless I missed it.
When is the server list merger supposed to be? -

It really irks me that I can't use cyborg arms with the warrior tops, or use the warrior belt with the tight top options. There REALLY needs to be a reorganization of the items, and a separation of items as another poster said.
I would be happy if there was a whole issue dedicated to the creator. I know I am in the minority with that, but hey I can be selfish now and again.
Really I just want more. The creator is amazing, and has so much potential, that is being wasted. I had hoped with David coming on board more time would be dedicated to player aesthetics, not just environment and NPCs. I don't know yet if that hope was misplaced.
I don't want a CoX2, because I don't want to start over. I just want this CoX improved. -
1. Power Customization for Pool powers. I an many others hate the hasten animation.
2. All NPC costume options for players. I love the Tsoo sorcerer costumes.
3. Height slider to go to 10'. I would like to be bigger than the NPCs I fight.
I also can't stop at 3.
4. More weapons and animation for powers. This game thrives on aesthetics, more really is better.
5. I would like weather effects. Just for looks, and I would like those who don't want them to be able to disable them.
6. Fingers. I would like claws that come from the fingers, and other things fingers would entail.
Really all of what I want is more of what we already have. -
I have fun with different builds at different times. Right now I would say that I am having the most fun I have ever had with KM/EleA as a scrapper. That is right now though. For a year or so everything I played was /WP, that got very old though.
So, my favorite depends on my mood. It is much easier to name my least favorite of all time. Which would /SD of any time. -
I would cool looking any day of the week. I remember playing my DB scrapper and hearing "BS and Katana are much better." Perhaps, but I look cooler.
I could get pure power from a MUD, or a table top game. Here it LOOKS cool too. -
I have never been a fan of taking a resist set, and attempting to turn it into a def set. I know that is not so popular an opinion, but I just feel like I am giving up too much.
With that said, I have been playing a KM/ELA exclusively sense GR went live. Love the combo, and Dave is dead on about Alpha spiritual. I have perma hasten, and I can use PS twice or more in a fight. Combined with the end drain in LF, I can bottom out anything except an AV. It is pretty funny to have things just stare at you while you beat them to death.
It is really a fun combo that the spiritual complements well. -
Quote:He said we would get them eventually. Which is not soon enough for me. Costumes are one of the largest draws to this game for many people. It looks like they would take the chance to expand on that every issue, and in between with boosters. That appears to be Fusion, from the new TF. Aka, Male Fusionette, partner to Jane Temblor.
So, given they use PC rigs for that, I do hope we get the parts too...David did say
I also am really tired of NPCs getting the nice new shinny costumes, and us being left in the cold. It is a trend in this game that it seems they want to change, but I am still waiting. -
Quote:Perfect. I really think the purchase of each booster should have included an extra slot, but that ship has sailed.I'll suggest it again;
Costume Slots Addition
Final Number: 10
Slot 1: Base - Character Creation
Slot 2: Level 10 - Free
Slot 3: Level 20 - Current Unlock
Slot 4: Level 25 - Free
Slot 5: Level 30 - Current Unlock
Slot 6: Level 35 - Free
Slot 7: Level 40 - Current Unlock
Slot 8: Level 45 - Free
Slot 9: Level 50 - New Unlock
Slot 10: Halloween Salvage
Sorted. People that don't care about costume slots much get the 5 for free (Base and four free ones) while those who DO care get double slots to play with. And all that needs working on is a slight UI tweak and one new mission to unlock the level 50 slot.
I don't see a downside here. -
Another thing that is being overlooked, i20 will introduce a new LFG system which is currently server only. If at some point that system becomes cross server, then those extra servers on a list will be a very big deal. Just a thought.

Quote:I agree with Snow, and the others who have stated this. This game is long overdue for a name purge IMO. I have been using the same global since Launch, and I really don't want to lose it. I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy that I am in the US, and not affected by this.I would also add that if I were in charge of this system, I'd also make sure that any inactive trial account automatically loses to a paying account.
On the other hand, thanks NCsoft for demonstrating the complaints that will be heard when/if a server merge happens.
I can see where the EU players are coming from though, I wish there was a way to just add an invisible "EU" or "NA" suffix to each global. -
Quote:QFTIf by "interesting" you mean "really terrible idea" then yes. Locking costume parts to 35+ is already bad enough, but locking them to post-50 is a pretty bad move. If they do this at all (they shouldn't), it should be limited to an insanely microscopic amount of costume parts. Please just give us the rest as part of regular content.
I think it is a really bad idea, unless it unlocks account wide. -
I am sure if you are leaving this job, that you have another job. I hope you like it better, not that you don't like it here, just that better is always good.
There are very few things that you have done that I have disagreed with in this game. Most of the changes made that I hate were done "Back in the day" Regen's IH change will forever be at the top of the list.
Really the only spot I can think of that I did disagree was I think Dull Pain would have been more thematic for WP than Fast healing.
Really man, I think you have been pretty awesome. I hope where ever you end up it is fun, and exciting. You will be missed by many, and to echo others, I fear the awesome communication we have had with the devs will die. You need to give the people there a kick and remind them that communication with the players is part of what makes this game great.
Take care man, and have a Merry Christmas. -
Was away for the holidays, but felt the need to respond. I personally would not use an INF farmer. I am pretty fond of CoX, and do not want to get banned. The point I was trying to make, but didn't because I was in a hurry, is that the economy stinks, and I think a large part of that is because of the inf still being purchased in this game.
Yes there are ways around any thing, but I agree it is stupid to attempt them. I don't think all of the inf they sell is from just playing/farming the game though. I would be t a large bit of it comes from stuff they sell in the AE. Nothing can be done about it though, unless we stop purchasing high value items there, then we would be passing on the things we enjoy and that would suck more. -
Do you really think they are farming all of that inf? Do you really think all of those purples an PvP recipes being sold for hundreds of millions of inf are being sold by players?
Most of us are contributing to RMT sites w/o even knowing it.
With that said, I have not seen spammer in a long time. They frustrate me because I am pretty sure they are the source of the horrible economy.
Also TonyV, the flaw in you're credit argument is the all mighty visa gift card. I use them for all of my online purchases personally. I tend to be a bit paranoid though.
