Quote:Nemmie's Staff isn't available in that iTrial. The Nightmares in that phase are bosses, and once held can be pushed to the right location (force bubble, hurricane, likely even force bolt or the Nemesis Staff).
But I have used Torrent to push them into the path. Same trick for the Voids. I love Torrent.
And yes, Torrent and I are getting married!!! -
If you saw a Ninja then it wasn't.

A GM death creates a bubble in which Shalice becomes vulnerable to immobs and holds. You need two overlapping bubbles and Shalice in the overlap to stop her.

All of the above plus...
SuperSpeed + Stealth IO = Near invisibility plus reduced Threat generation. Also, you are able to move out of meleers' range faster and get to other players who are in need faster. -
If Max isn't giving a reward table the first time through while collecting the three Malta, then it's a bug, because he did every time I did it in Beta and I ran through the whole set of arcs about 10 times in Beta.
In Ouroboros, Max's arc is not an arc, but four separate one-off missions. So, no reward table there. -

Here's what Dark Miasma on a Defender can do:
Minimum / Best case
98.75% / 110% -ToHIt (almost twice as much if slotted for -ToHit)
40.2% / 52.5% -Dam
3100% / 3200% -Regen (3000% is up half the time)
152.5% / 242.5% -Run
30% / 60% -Resist
62.5 -Recharge
-Jump
-Fly -
Converters were supposed to fix that. And will once they go live probably some time next week.

There are two moon textures. They introduced a bigger one for the Halloween Haunted House and are using it for DA. Both moons are inexplicably transparent. Sometimes both moons are bugged and appear at the same time one inside the other. The path of the moon is indeed not east to west. And, it's shadows do not track where it is in the sky by necessity, otherwise, you'd have moon shadows racing across the ground faster than you can sprint.
Good night, moon. -

I guess I shouldn't mention the heat death of the universe, then.

Quote:Actually, the patch notes do say that higher level and higher ranked mobs have a higher drop rate for Threads. And of course, they give out more iXP.Oh and the kicker is, I was playing everything with the 4x settings at:
-1/x0, no bosses
That right, in the new DA, size doesn't matter. This is a very good thing for the casual, average, normal, non-Min/Max player. No mob spawns at less than level 50 and higher level mobs have the same chance to drop threads as lower level ones. Increasing mob sizes in all these very short arcs only slightly improves one's chances of getting Thread drops. There is simply no practical reason to run at ++++/xxxxxxx unless you just want to brag about being able to do it.
However, the end-of-arc reward is much bigger than what you can get with drops, so, it makes sense to keep a low difficulty and rush to the end of the arc for the big pay-out.
OTOH, that big pay-out reward table has a 20 hour cool down (other than the first time you do that arc). After you run through an arc as fast as possible, then you might want to crank up the difficulty to hit your maximum safe kill rate.
And FYI, my opinion is that The Dream Doctor's arc would make the best farm: Lots of maps with lots of big spawns and lots of helpers if you want/need them. Plus, a mid-arc reward table. -
Quote:The Devs admit they use ParagonWiki for their own informational needs. Obviously, not enough. They've made this "reused existing name" mistake at least a dozen times or so since the beginning of the game.
Did anyone seriously think they wouldn't do it again at some point?

Quote:Yeah, that whole site seems to be down. I zipped and uploaded the files you need here.Link doesn't work for me, it seems to just be a blank white page
Plus I can't even get the beacons to stick to the sides or the front of the teleporters. How are y'all doing that? Is there a trick or does it just take a lot of patience? My beacons are all snapping to the walls.
Put the unzipped files from base_city.zip to this directory under your main CoH directory...
Code:\data\texture_library\WORLD\V_COV\Bases\Details\Functional\base_tele_aux\
Code:\data\texture_library\WORLD\V_COV\Bases\Details\Functional\base_tele_arc_aux\
As to making the beacons 'stick' to the telepad, you have to float a sticky 'wall' superimposed on the telepad and then stick the beacon to that floating wall. The most used sticky wall is the office partition cubicle. Here's how to float an object:
After initially placing an item, shift+click+drag will allow you vertical control over the moment; ctrl+click+drag will move the item only on its horizontal plane (though sometimes hard walls like to trick up the placements); and alt+click+drag will rotate the item, sometimes around its central axis, sometimes around the central axis of its placement box, and sometimes around an arbitrary point - it varies by item. -
I just went through all the arcs again and it was just in two missions if I recall correctly that had the Mog (Mott fog). One was appropriately present, the other inexplicably. And this is a whole lot better than it was in Beta when a whole bunch of mission inexplicably had the Mog.

Quote:Well, my guess...
1) Last I recall all characters that had used up all their free vet specs, got issued new ones with Freedom. Could be wrong, but I swear my DB/WP who had used them all before hand had gotten a bunch of new ones.
2) 3 respec trials (on red and blue side) in game.
3) respec recipe canbe purchased in game.
4) Most importantly, respec can be purchased in the market.
Giving it away free with all those other free options available, makes it hard to make money on the market one.
I expect to see less free respecs given out.Quote:Bingo. Also there are 2 more you can get from the patron arcs.
When the Devs change powers, we shouldn't have to spend cash to adjust. Period. -

The souvenir from the Luddite's arc redside is more precious than gold. The super powered gang war from the Bane's arc is terribly fun.

This game will always have bugs. Longstanding bugs. Brand new bugs. Bugs that come about while fixing other bugs.
You have to chose between two of the three: Lots of content, cheap, bug-free.
If you prioritize bug free, then expect to pay $60 a month or expect just one issue a year.
Nature of the beast for MMOs. -
Quote:It is not cross server.I thought the whole point of the LFG is that it's x-server, but Defiant if it's not. It shouldn't be an issue given that DFB is run frequently.
Maybe you should put into your server's global channel: I just signed up for a Drowning in Blood trial. Hope many of you do the same so we can play it!
