Quote:That deserves to be made into a "Hang in there, baby" poster.(This was a particularly weird weekend in City of Heroes.)

You might see the new non-unique maps way before the unique ones. The unique ones need a dev to go through it and mark spawn points and front, middle, back and other such stuff to make them useful for the AE.
-
Their spawn points the first two times are static. The last time they can be anywhere that's a valid spawn point.

Did you try repairing your files? (Open NCSoft Launcher and right click on CoH and chose Repair.)

Quote:You're right to be confused by Hollywood accounting....I'm a little confused by that article.
They say the film cost $350 million to make, but needs to gross $600 million to 'break even'? Somehow I just can't see them spending $250 to distribute and market this movie.
Something's not right with the math in Hollywood, and this ain't the first time I've noticed. But it is the most recent and the biggest difference.
Quote:In the second phase of the trial in which the court determined the appropriate amount of damages to be paid to Buchwald, Paramount testified that despite the movie's $288 million in ticket sales, it had spent so much money on the movie's development and marketing that, according to the formula specified in Buchwald's contract, Paramount had made "no net profit". The court then found that the formula was "unconscionable" and that Buchwald therefore could pursue a separate tort lawsuit against the company. -
Who *doesn't* want to crash the Ouroboros platform into the sea?

It's unlikely there will be a sequel made:

Because.... the 'Origin' of SO and DO which referred to the one of the five 'origins' of super powers got expanded to mean the 'origin' of the Enhancement. What is the origin of the Enhancements you can use in the low levels? They *originate* from Trainers, thus, they're Trainer Origins Enhancements, and thus, TOs.
What is the origin of the Enhancements you get from fighting the Hamidon? They're Hamidon originated Enhancements, and thus, Hami-Os, or, HOs.
If they originated from recipes from the Invention system, they're IOs.
Origin is Bought from the Store? SBOs. Originated for specific ArcheTypes? ATOs.
Putting the "I" in ATOs would be something that's clearly wrong since the ATOs do not come from the Invention system -- they're not crafted. That's why we don't call the other Enhancements TIOs, DIOs, SIOs, or HIOs.
Using "-Os" to designate Enhancements is a 8 year old convention of CoH used by players and devs alike. It ain't gonna change. -
Quote:I can confirm it's more than 2 minutes. By the time I was able to convince Leo to follow me up the ramp to the clear-area, which took at least half a minute, I looked at the clock and it was still more than 2 minutes time left.I don't know if its a typo or it was changed from beta or there's some other reason why, but I ran Steel Savior today and the clock showed three minutes, not two. I finished it with 58 seconds on the clock and got the badge, so I'm guessing the badge awards if you finish before the timer runs out whatever it says.

Quote:The deleted scenes wound up in the intro text to the trial that pops up in the LFG window. See this thread.Pity the removal of said mission isn't that great an idea either, because now there's next to no explanation for how the Phalanx ended up in the Trial. I think it would have been better to just shave the last little bit off the mission, the actual part that required the Trial, but it didn't turn out that way.
And here's what you missed: Nom Nom, part II. -
Quote:So, should the portal to Praetoria be invisible to Premiums, too? Or is ostentatiously showing a portal mocking their Premium status? So, friend logged in - Premium, so no Incarnate abilities. What's he get? "Captain Nolan has requested help from someone with the power of incarnates."
Yeah. Premium. Doesn't have it.
Result? Annoyed player. Not the way to make money or encourage them to spend it. How about checking if the person's actually VIP or not before sending the popup?
(Which could also go for things like the PVP zones liasons.)
When they open up the market interface, should all IOs be invisibled, too? Or is having IOs in the auction house mocking their Premium status?
Can we solicit other players in global channels for Incarnate tasks, or is that going to annoy Premiums?
For that matter, can I wear costume pieces or use temp powers others haven't bought?
This is a MMORPG, it has 'RP' in the genre. So, tell your friend to role-play it and say to themselves: "Sorry Captain, I'm not an Incarnate...yet." -
There are also plenty of emotes that don't have a flying version so that when you enact them, it's like you're standing in midair.
-
I doubt it was by design.
Please /bug it. -
