So, I get my first scrapper to level 50 and I start the incarnate arc. I decide she's the type of character that would fight all the Arch-villains, and I'm going about this, and right at Ruladak the Strong, I suddenly realize: "Wait a moment; the Oroboros Platform has been crashed into the sea. That sounds familiar."

They've definitely set up Dream Doctor to oppose Ouroboros. Both are working to avert the Coming Storm, but they're working against each other.

Of course, at this point since Ouroboros and Flashback are integrated so deeply into the game, it's an easy guess who we'll ultimately have to side with...unless Dream Doc changes his mind about trashing the place and takes over Ourboros with some help by phasing tech and the player.

Well, given the last thing Silos says in that cutscene, it seems like the animosity doesn't go both ways between the two.

But was that Silos speaking in the last caption?

I'm not so sure.

Who else would it be? The Dream Doctor hasn't displayed a tendency to talk about himself in the third person, and Silos was the only other person at the meeting.

It makes sense too, since he's got a lot of experience with time travel, I'd believe he's seen shades of possible futures.

Who says they'd have to get rid of its functionality? Talk to the small tentacles to select your arc, click on the large tentacle to be transported to your contact. Voila.

Hi, I'm Craig and I'll be your tentacle this evening. Would you like to see the wine list?

Interestingly, note that Ramiel calls the Time Echoes in his first mission 'illusions.' Next, note that the Dream Doctor can summon illusions as you fight alongside him. Third, note that the Doctor states that the very next time he comes to Ouroboros, it'll be to knock it into the sea.

Even if the Dream Doctor is trying to stop Battalion and/or Rularuu, which he may see as the Coming Storm, he may actually end up becoming part of the Coming Storm in at least one possible future.

Unless he's going to knock it into the sea because it's been co-opted by the Coming Storm. (I haven't played through the full arc yet, so I hope that's not completely ignorant.)

Well, there's nothing about the ruins of Oroboros that suggest that Battalion invaded it. There are echos of beings touched by the well, but no Shivans.

He also says he hopes the DD avoids the fate that he has already seen. DD dies?

Just a theory, but those tentacles seen around the crashed Ouroboros used the same model as the Kraken tentacles in the mission where you rescue Marcus on his ship. So either the devs like to use the same model for a number of different creatures, which is possible, or perhaps Dream Doctor released the Kraken into the waters below Ouroboros?

There's certainly some sexual tension between them.

The tentacles could also be from Praetorian Hamidon.

Weird, that was my thought, too. At this point it seems pretty out of left field, but by then, who knows? PraeHami could be our ally.

I was thinking that, and it could be true, but the tentacles are in the water and are only tentacles, which is exactly how we fight the Kraken in the DA arc. Whereas with Hami, we seem seem to encounter him more through infected creatures, avatars, and monsters.

Plus it just seems to make more sense for someone to grab this savage monster out of the water, possibly control it, and sic it on someone as opposed to uprooting this massively overpowered beast that has sentience and control over nearly an entire planet, and tell it to fight time travelers that have nothing to do with it or it's domain. But this is all just my theory and opinion.

Those are actually renamed Praetorian Hamidon tentacles.

"Managed" kind of isn't the tense to use. He "will has been managing", maybe?
Stupid time travel.

Why are they called TENtacles when there's only eight of them?
