Hey all. Saturday I decided to roll a Dom and got him to lvl 32 doing nothing but missions and TF's. Figured that was I could take every power in the primary and almost all in the seconday and see how they worked. After dying a lot, I respec'd to the powers I liked. Then i sat down on mids and worked out a build that I liked. It's Mind/Psi/Psi, which seems a little redundant but I like the mez protection it gives, tho Soul mastery looked good but purely for Soul Drain. I made this build with Perma Hasten and damage bonuses in mind, but since I've never ran a Dom before Im learning how to best use Domination. Please let me know where I could improve upon it or if it is really the dumbest build you've ever seen. Money isnt an issue when it comes to the sets. Have 7 bil between 5 toons that I have nothing else to spend on...

dangit. I hate going redside. And I hate having to park a main toon for 2 months for badges.
-
The question is, if Im a hero and need the arachnos base dayjob badge, could I just go to warburg and run to the base and log off there? Or do I need to become a vig?
-
Congrats. I still need like all the dayjob badges and the epic damage and mez badges and I'll be done. Currently sitting at 1145..
-
Honestly as a warshade, i feel that the only time in my career I should have a problem with voids/quantums is lvl 1-20. After that you have black dwarf, stygian circle and enough inspiration slots for an emergency break free that the most you should be inconvenienced by a void is 3 seconds.
-
When I was badging my fire/rad on rediside the Mobarracuda was brutal. But we figured out this strategy to it and now when I run that TF, I always do it as a masters just to get badges for others who dont have it. The easiest way to beat the last room is super time consuming as well. after you kill the 4th AV, everyone grabs their power then books it out of the room into the tunnal and hooks a left. Reichs wont leave that room. Once the ambushes spawn, have a tank taunt a few of the enemies. They will rush out of the room and into a bottleneck, where your team can kill them at your leisure. Takes about 10-20 minutes depending on team makeup to kill all the spawn. then your entire team can focus on Reichs. If you are going to do this as a MO run, you won't have temps so make sure you have good debuffs and damage on the team.
-
I'll post a few tweaks I made in a bit, but the only questions I have that i didn't see addressed is why have 3 recharge IO's in Stygian circle? It has a recharge time of 7.94sec but if I replace 1 recharge with a end mod or heal and another with an end redux your recharge rate is only 9.34sec. I feel losing 1.4sec is worth getting more health and end back, especially is it will be after using an end-draining attack like quasar. And with stygian circle on a 9 second recharge, what benefit does essence drain give you besides the IO set and the slow? Not trying to critique your playstyle, just a question. I always feel that if someone likes a power, they should keep it. I personally think group fly is the dumbest power for anyone who isn't a MM to take, but I know a lot of people who have it....

Anyone suggest a badge for taking down a rikti dropship during a raid?
-
I use 2 monitors used to have no problems going seamlesssly from one to the other. Now when I do so my screen flickers black for a few moments. I watch TV/anime while playing and every other time i go from the 2nd monitor to the game, my media player goes blank or the image just freezes while audio continues. i have to click back into the 2nd monitor then back into the game to get it to work. annoys the hell out of me.
-
Yeah, I just bought one from amazon last night for like 2.99! The shipping was more than the game!
-
Thanks guys. I'll look around for an old copy of Coh/CoV then.
-
Hey all, quick question that probably has been answered numerous times but I can't find the answer. I've decided that I want a 2nd account. Mostly to help get purp drops, salvage, SG prestige and pvp/arena badges on my badgers. So here is my question. Do I have to purchase a 2nd copy of the game to create a 2nd account? In the past I've made trial accounts under my main NCSoft account for some arena badges. I tried to see if I could just activate one of them, but it wants a serial or game card, and doesnt give me the option of just purchasing time like I can with my standard account. I really have no reason to buy Going Rogue for the 2nd account, since the toons on there will most definitely be used just for helping out my main account. And I don't see just city of heroes/villains on the NCSoft Store page, so i really don't wanna buy GR if i don't have to.
-
No offense but it seems like you're asking someone to do all the work for you, and that's freakin lazy. Even if they make this build for you, it'll take you time to get to lvl 50, then with slotting, it's not like someone amkes a build and overnight you are uberAT. This is mostly build critiques and suggestions. I've put my fire/rad and warshade builds here for critique and while I have listened to a lot of suggestions (especially with my fire/rad). I'd never either ask someone to make me a build or completely change my build because of their suggestions. You need to figure out how you like to play, what powers you like and what ones you don't. I wouldn't play a build full of powers i don't like, and set bonuses that don't go along with my playstyle. A lot of fire/rad play with defense and end mitigation in mind. i play heavy damage, recharge, but my end sucks. it's my playstyle. Long story short, stop asking for handouts, get out there figure out what you want your build to look like, then post it here for pointers/critiques.

I've been trolling the Badgehunter website looking at all the badges people have and I was wondering. When we first were able to change alignments I went from blue to red and did the 3rd treespec and got a badge for it because i never did the 3rd respec blueside. I tried doing the 1st and 2nd treespecs but no badge. I was told at the time that you couldn't get more than 3 badges total for respec, blue red or a mix of the two. Now I've come across 2 people with more than 3 respec badges. Is this a badgehunter glitch or can we get all 6 now? Cause almost all of the top badge hunters still only have 3.

Dinged 1100 last week and forgot to post. now I'm up to 1112! Still working on those dayjob badges, the pvp rep badges and a few of the epic achievement badges.
EDIT: 1128 now! -
Quote:No offense, but I get a little frustrated when I take the time to explain stuff, give some good recommendations and then my recommendations are ignored.
I strongly dislike your slotting for Hot Feet and Choking Cloud, which are key powers for a Fire Rad. You need max Damage and EndRdx in Hot Feet -- you have neither. You slotted almost no damage in your highest damage power over the long term. You need capped Hold and capped or nearly capped EndRdx in Choking Cloud -- you have neither. Yet you are spending billions on PVP and purple sets in less important powers. I made my recommendations above.
4 Doctored Wounds in Health??? I gave my far superior slotting above.
If you are going for Recharge, why don't you have a 6th Efficacy Adapter in AM?
I would change several other things, too, like dropping the Fighting Pool, adding EM Pulse, etc. But that would probably be ignored, too.
No offense taken. And no offense, if i wanted your complete build, i would ask for it. I'm making my own build, but asking advice on how it could be better. Some advice will be taken, but some wont. I took the advice for choking cloud and frankslotted it for hold and end redux. could it be a bit better? Yes if i sacrificed slots elsewhere. the reason there are 4 doctored wounds in health is because there were 5 and I had the extra recharge, but I placed a miracle proc in there and lost the extra recharge. Now Im trying to figure out what to do with them. I did wind up putting that final efficacy in AM. there wasnt one before because i ready had 5 5% recharges slotted, but when I changed choking cloud and Health, i lost those. I am not going to change to the Psi APP nor am I gonna drop the fighting pool. the extra defense and damage resistance is nice, and stacks with what I have already, and I really like consume for the endurance recovery. Runnign this build now it recharges right before I run low on end. -
Ok all, I've revised my Build with suggestions in mind (I have no idea how I missed that LotG in Weave). Once again, any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the critiques guys. My build was created with one purpose in mind: Perma Hasten. I understand that this also means I will run out of end faster. Sucks, but that's why my build is the way it is. tryign to squeeze as many sets with recharge in them was a hassle, but I can sacrifice 1 or 2 sets to stop the end crunch. I would have loved to take Psi APP, but I need consume just to get end back.
-
Quote:Fixed link. Sorry about that. Honestly 90% of my build was just to build towards achieving perma eclipse. that 7.5% recharge in Dark nova is only there for that. Then i saw the status resist and decided to toss another slot in there as well.Your build's link doesn't appear to be working, could you post a data chunk?
Just from looking at the build, this is what sticks out:
Armageddon would be better placed in a power that you use often. I like to use Quasar about every time it's up myself, but I would put Armageddon in the Dwarf Mire. That power does some very hefty AoE damage and with the recharge you likely have, you can stack its buff on top of itself.
I'd slot Unchain Essence as a damage power, you can get the same recharge bonus out of another set of Positron's blast and deal a lot more damage with it. The stun chance is only 50% per mob, and the damage chance is 100%.
Dark Nova doesn't need that kind of slotting. I'm not aware of the set bonuses that slotting gives you, but Dark Nova itself is really only benefiting from the endurance reduction. The tohit buff is completely unnecessary. With all the accuracy bonuses you have, you shouldn't need the extra tohit. It only gets you another ~4% tohit, and Sunless Mire gives you that per target. Move those slots to somewhere that'll do more good, like Dwarf Mire.
I don't know how much you value the Expedient Reinforcement unique, but I promise that you'll get more mileage out of the purple pet set build up proc.
Good call on the armagheddon set. That's a great suggestion. Ill look into the purp set, but Ill have to see if that takes away from my perma eclipse. with the build as is, I recharge eclipse in 84 seconds. -
Hi all. I've been toying around with my warshade build since i19, and I think I've finalized it. I'd like for someone to take a look at it and let me know if there's anything I'm missing or could tweak a little to make him even more effective. He's built for survivability, so with that in mind I made him so that he would have perma eclipse, and would almost always be at the 85% damage cap. went with the musculature radial boost since I am lacking on damage output that some warshade builds have. Any comments would be appreciated!
