  1. I know when I first played, I didn't know about the trains. Getting to PI and Bricks was hell. I couldn't even figure out how to get to Croatoa.
  2. I would say, the whole skull materializing out of your fist's is pretty darn cool looking. (talking about the AS of DM). The -to hit on DM is negligable in PvP >.>

    Just want to clarify in case some one (and I believe some one did) takes this the wrong way. I had no intention to infer that any one sub 50 on an ITF is looking for a PL. It does happen however, and if you do get people on your ITF that have that mentality, you will go slower. I myself have used the ITF to help level in the 40's. But I always try to keep a nuke or two on hand as well as a shivan if things get hairy so I can contribute.

    Just had to clarify that.

  6. So, is there an actual list of the powers that are being circulated or is this all speculation.... I found a list floating around on the internets and was curious where it came from. It 'Seems' to be viable. Sounds ambiguous enough to be a power description that CoH is known for. Damage:Moderate, Recharge:Medium and all that.

    Would it be bad if I posted what I found?

    As long as you don't have too many non 50s, should be pretty quick and painless. People looking for a PL on an ITF usually don't contribute as much, and thus make it take longer.

    So, I bring up another question. If I had like... 7 other people in my team of 8 dead, thus giving me great endurance discount, meaning no end problems.... would we feel that is cheating? What about a kheld using their team to help buff themselves?

    Do they not have the patch_notes.txt typed out ahead of time? Do they need to argue about what has been patched? Do they know what has been patched? Any one else but Avatea know that there was a patch today?

    Some of these questions are indeed silly. But I feel they need to be asked.

    Expert Toons

    I find my SR scrapper does very well in the ITF.

    Many times I have to pretty much solo Romi because the other team mates die.

    And, if any of you remember that thread I started about getting kicked off the ITF on the last mission because the stone tank wanted to tank Romie >.> yeah... >.>

    But any ways. SR can do a good job on the ITF, it can also do well against Rikti. Been the last one standing in the Mother Ship bowl before as well =). Things to think on.

    Why wouldn't you slot for accuracy? You want your attacks to hit right?

    Edit: Are you talking about IO bonuses... IE slot 4 IOs for an acc bonus? I normally don't seek these bonuses, but they are nice if they happen to coincide with what I am slotting.

    So, if I was on a TF with a team of 8, and I asked them if I could solo the final AV, you are saying it's not a proper solo because I'm on a team. Even though it was only me healing, debuffing, buffing and doing the damage?

    Soooo, It seems the consensus is the forum peoples would not agree that it is soloing.

    Will make it more difficult, but not impossible.

    So, even though the 'team mate' does not help kill (ie add damage, buffs) it is not soloing. I would argue that since vengeance is your buff, it is soloing. Even though you do need a dead body to do it.

    But if it is frowned upon by the other soloers, I will refrain.
  16. Eagle's Claw has a higher base damage in PvP than Midnight Grasp.

    In PvP, everyone gets roughly the same resists to all damage, so the whole negative damage is less resisted argument goes out the window.

    MA can stun, dropping attack toggles.

    Eagle's Claw has a chance to double Crit.

    Crane Kick can KB those people that don't have KB prot, helping to ensure a kill.

    I will let you try to figure out an MA build. I personally don't think this is a very expensive build. I usually hoard my merits I get from soloing story arcs and buy myself a numina proc and Miracle Proc, as well as anything else I might need.

    Just saw some one say 'GMs - Nobody' so I wanted to point out that some body can.

    I had been able to make headway with my Fire/SR scrapper against Adamastor once, but gave up because he kept running away and I didn't feel like chasing him any more. Such is the life of a Fire/SR =( So uber even GMs feel the need to run away.

    Would you oh great forum gurus believe that it is a proper AV/GM solo if some one uses a dead body on the team to use vengeance? The said dead body would not in any way help with killing the AV/GM, they would just sit there and talk to the AV/GM.

    I personally do not believe in Insps or Temp powers to properly solo AV/GMs because given enough insps and temps an emp/Dark defender can solo an AV/GM.

    But, I was fiddling around with a rad/sonic defender build that was attempting to make a Perma AM and Hasten build with soft caped ranged defense. I was able to do it (42% ranged, noting that RI will give me about 7% psudo defense). However, it would increase my damage if I could use Veng.

  22. Easiest is prolly take all SR powers but Quickness and Elude, tough and weave, maneuvers, stealth, and slot BU with Guassians set.

    I would not recommend that, because it will most likely leave other parts of your toon lacking, but if all you care about is soft cap, I would try that.

    In order for me to be able to help you more, I would like to ask 3 things.

    What is your primary.
    What is your budget.
    What is this intended for. PvE or PvP or mostly PvE with a mingling of PvP
