Stalker lvl 41+ Kat/Elec advice please

Basically I have a Katana/Electric stalker. It is working really well, but I have no idea what to do lvl 41+

I have picked up all Katana abilities except Sting of the Wasp, and all of the electric except Grounded and Lightning Reflexes. I am a Super Speed-Haste for movement, and I have Stamina.

This is my first Villain at this level so the PPP info would be great.

I got some advice suggesting to take Leviathan Mastery, and pick up Water Sprout and Hibernate; but what is best next?

I was planing on picking up my last two electric powers Grounded and Lightning Reflexes, but I am not sure if I should go for one of the other PPP sets if that is even possible. So some info would be great!

Thank you for the help.

You should grab MIDS and post your build, it will be easier to help with a build.

Yes, Get Mids

http://www.cohplanner.com/download.php

Then post your build. I personally like Soul Mastery or Leviathan. Soul Mastery has Shadow Meld. Also, on paper, Soul Storm does more dmg than Sharks. Haven't tested why people go for Sharks instead of Soul Storm.... >.> Gona have to use the test server when it comes back to public use.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Thanks for the link! I knew somewhere this program existed, but I didn't know what it was called, so I had a lot of trouble looking it up.

Unrelated question. I clicked on the Mids' link and I am getting errors when I try to install it. Any advice?

Download it. Then "Run as administrator". I had issues when I first got it. This fixed them.

Edit: Right click it to get the "Run as Admin..." option.

P.S. I am half tempted just to ditch the super speed and go for grounding, and just live with ninja run/hurdle.

P.S. This is trying to be a PvE build

O_O are you wanting an SO build? I would be happy to make one for you if you want, but an IO build (especially since in Mids' there is no budget )

Few notes:
1) don't slot your attacks for secondary effects (i.e. defense debuff and knock back).
2). Standard SO slotting for attacks are 1 acc, 1 end red, 1 recharge, 3 damage.
3). Standard SO slotting for toggles are 1 end red, 2-3 -Whatever the toggle enhances-
4). Because of ED, you can only slot up to about 100% enhancement. Since Even Level SO's = 33.3%, that brings you to 99.9% , slightly less in actuallity. Thus, only ever slot 3 SOs of the same kind in the same power.
5). Hide grants about 3% defense when its suppressed if fully ED slotted. around 1.5-2% if not. So, it's not too good to slot hide for defense. pop a LotG or a Kismet +To Hit proc in it and call it a day (Hide no longer costs end either).

6). Don't slot power surge for ACC, the ACC portion only counts when you lose your teir 9. As the power states:

" As Power Surge wears off, the charge in your body explodes in a massive EMP pulse. However, expending all this energy will leave you exhausted, and drained of almost all Health and Endurance."

So most people will want to run out of a mob and rest before Power Surge crashes. Meaning the Acc slotting won't help in the slightest. Best bet for power surge is 2 recharge, 2 resists.

7) Build up grants a 20% to hit buff, slotting it to the ED cap will raise it to 31%. It is not significant enough to waste slots on To Hit buff (if you still cannot hit something with a 20% to hit buff, an extra 10% prolly won't help). So just slot for 2-3 recharge.

8). Placate. If you need to placate something at 60 feet instead of 50 feet, then run 10 feet. Save the slot. No need to slot placate for range (except for PvP, then you would prolly want to 2-3 slot range for it).

9) Super speed opens up at 14 to most people (except those lucky vets). I cannot see your vet badges, so I would suggest taking a look at it.

Here is an SO build I slightly hastily put together. Take it or leave it =). Most stalkers have to postpone or leave out travel powers because they don't have a cool power like Challenge to skip like scrappers do. But ninja run + swift + sprint will get yah around easy enough. Most Electric Armor people say you need tough to do well, and I sort of agree, 50% res to S/L is a bare minimum.

For IOing, there are three approaches. +HP, +Defense or +Rech.

+HP will grant you psudo res (more HP means you can take more damage). This is the easiest thing to cap, because stalkers have crap for HP.

+Defense approach is usually done in one of two ways, +S/L defense, or +Melee defense. Because you have Divine Avalanche, I would say the easiest to do would be +Melee with some +Ranged thrown in.

+Recharge approach is so that you can get energize up faster, Power sink up faster to drain mob endurance (to a lesser extent) and have Power Surge up more often.

Take your pick on that. I am going for the +HP and +Defense

In this build, I am just a few HP under the cap. Soft Capped melee Defense with 2 DA applications. You should be able to scrap with this build.

Yeah, I don't have that level of Vet level. I WISH I could as that would solve the major problem I have with my scrapper. Need combat jumping, but want to fly . So...

Pine thank you for your builds! I really didn't know what to do about PPs and I am glad you are suggesting that I skip them.

I saw no great need for them for a PvE toon. You could do soul mastery for Shadow Meld. But to be honest, with DA I think you will be fine, as long as you don't mind every other attack is DA. =)

No I am not looking for an SO build, it is just what I have ATM. IOs are preferred for level 50, I just am waiting till lvl 50 before I get my IOs.

DA?

and about this.

In a lot of situations, I find there are 1 in a group that can detect a stalker while hidden. So placating them before they detect you and alert the entire group to where you are can be helpful with a little extra range. However it may not be all that good so I will defiantly give your suggestion a try.

Only mobs I can think of off the top of my head that do that are Rikti Drones and KoA... You can placate drones before they see you with no ranged enhancement (I do that) and KoA... well you can placate one, but the others will still see you.
