Soo, i just got onto lv5 and ran out missions on Atlas City (Susie Davis) as a hero, she referred me to a contact in Galaxy City (cant remember her name) but i have no idea how to get there unless you go through Perez Park, but thats way too high level for me... Help is appreciated.

Look on the map for a location marked with a T. That is the Train system. If you go up the ramp and into the middle, you can click on the gate to access the destinations for that train, and select Galaxy from the list.

Good luck!

Welcome to the game. Glad you are enjoying it so far.

Extra info:
When using the train systems, the entrance and exit are in two different places. It's common for new people to go to the wrong city and want to click the gate to get back on, but you'll have to exit from the side of theb uilding, then re-enter the front area to get back on and re-choose your new destination.

When I first joined blue side, I didn't know that little fact, and one time that I went to the wrong destination I sat at the exit gate waiting about 5+ minutes for the train to leave so I could click the gate to get back on...

Makikouz needs something to do:

Oh, and now that you know where the train is, here's my advice. Go tag the Galaxy City contact but don't take the mission. Turn around, go back to the train and go to Kings Row. When you enter, there should be a Police contact listed as your waypoint (if not, he should be in your contact list). Go to him and he will give you access to the police radio (it will appear at the top of your contacts). Do three missions from the radio and return to the police contact. He will give you a SafeGuard mission where your goal is to stop a bank robbery. When you get into the mission, the bank will be marked with a $. Get there as quickly as possible and stop the robbery. If you do, you will receive a free jetpack called the Raptor Pack that you can use for 2 hours of actual "on" time (timer stops when you shut it off). A very valuable and helpful tool for lowbies.

SafeGuards containing other special powers and tools are available the same way (sometimes you have to do more than 3 radios) every five levels, but this is the most useful/important one.

Dec out.

The European servers are not dead, but they do not have the same population levels as the most highly populated US servers, which are Freedom and Virtue.

I'm an EU player, myself, though most of my characters are on Union (which is generally perceived to have a higher population than Defiant), and I can assure you that they are not dead. Not by a long shot. (Though there are a number of players around who will tell you that they are, and suggest that you ditch your EU account and get a US one - entirely up to you, but I will point out that official information provided to us in the mists of time showed that the EU server peak populations was equivalent to the same-time server populations on US servers that are not Freedom and Virtue... and I'm sure some of our US counterparts will agree with me that their other servers are not dead, either.)

From your time of posting, I'd hazard a guess that you are playing before most EU players get home from work/school/wherever. Peak time tends to begin around 8.00pm UK time and ends anywhere from 11.00 to 2.00 in the morning.

Do not be disheartened by the apparent lack of players for another reason - the VAST majority of this game occurs in instanced maps, so there will rarely be large numbers of characters out in the wider world.

My best suggestion for you would be to join the Defiant Events global channel (the largest channel on the EU servers, btw) using /chan_join Defiant Events and introduce yourself there.

A little more additional info for ya' - if you open your Map and look for a little tab upper-right: "City" - that will show you all the zones and the train lines that link them (fyi these are slightly out of date - the Green line now stops in Founders Falls).

The "Zone" tab will take you back to the map of the zone you're currently in.

I know when I first played, I didn't know about the trains. Getting to PI and Bricks was hell. I couldn't even figure out how to get to Croatoa.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

I think getting made fun of in broadcast chat for being at the wrong tram door is some sort of CoH initiation ritual.

They might seem dead because of instanced missions; this means players actually playing the game (= doing missions) will not be in zones, but rather in their spawned mission maps. When basically every mission you get is instanced you'll find yourself mostly using zones just to get around rather than bash enemies.
