I would like to see another (non-competitor) publisher pick this up.
I'd like to see this modded so that it could primarily be a single player offline game with LAN play and a P2P option.
Proliferating as much of the CoX world map into AE/MA parcels.
I'd like to see portions of the game becoming open source and moddable (Costume Creator Architect Entertainment, Base Editor, Arena, NPCs, etc... stuff that doesn't violate the core Cryptic game engine?)
-------------------------------------------------------
It would be awesome for players to at least play the instanced game for themselves and maybe a friend or two.
It would also be cool to allow the players to continue to create great costumes, bios and bases for RP fodder, fan fic, screen captures, backgrounds.
-------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to see as much of this done with a rollback on many of the graphical upgrades so that those players that had to drop off because they couldn't afford to pace their systems to match could play again.
I'd like to see a lot of teeth-gnashing over it from the characters in "The Big Bang Theory"
I'd like to see a swag giveaway.
More Machinima. -
GRRRR!
I really hope they've got something in place to allow this to be an offline stand-alone game. -
Quote:With a 20% -Resist buff, 90% Resistance is <45% defense.
I stand by my original statement. The defense character only has a 5% chance of getting hit... and only a 5% chance of getting hit again after that. The odds are .25% chance you'll get hit twice in a row by that attack. Since most -resist debuffs only last 10 seconds and recharge on those attacks are roughly 8 seconds, the probability goes in the favor of the Defense based character. On a character that has aggro on 10 mobs, the odds stack drastically in favor of the defense soft-capped character. As the Resistance based character will flatline in a matter of seconds... Much like a defense-capped character getting cascading failure of -defense attacks.
As an owner of a soft-capped Widow; I have to add in that the '5% of getting hit' increases as the mob size gets bigger and it seems that I'm running into a lot of mobs that debuff defense; Malta, Longbow, Knives, Cimmies, etc.
I get much more in the way of cascading failures than I'd like with her. -
Disagree with:
Iron Man 2
Alien 3 (I really liked that one; Resurrection, on the other hand, was waaay to PC and cliche for me)
Phantom Menace (Darth Maul made the flick for me... otherwise; a New Hope rehash)
Terminator Salvation (better than T3; total homage piece - kinda like Highlander: Endgame)
The Hangover 2 (wasn't that great but between the tran-v dancer, drug dealer in the ice bin and the shitake mushroom; loooooooooooool!)
Wolverine (lots of cool characters; some even managed to have a little depth)
Kill Bill 2 (although less flashy than Kill Bill 1; I thought, again, there was more depth in the antagonists. It was a more fluid film (less hopscotching than much of his portfolio); more substance all around... and the Superman analogy is one of my favorite Tarantino monologues.
[and Troy... actually liked it. Realized that I didn't want anybody pacing the walk of my house screaming my name and calling me out. "Yooogggiiiiiiii! YOOOOOOGGIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!"] -
Personally, I feel that having layered mitigation tends to beat out stacking same-type stuff.
So -dmg with Defense is fine with me (assuming that I'm soft-capped and looking for something that's not redundant)... just like -tohit with Resistance.
But, if I'm looking to capitalize -dmg; chances are good that I'm doing it on a Resistance toon; since I can add Defense from pool powers and IO set bonuses (ie. KM/Electric/Soul/Void Brute or Stalker; Electric/KM/Soul/Void Tank)
IMO, I'd be a bit more hardpressed, using the same methodology to build Resistance of a Defense toon. -

Thanks for popping in, reading what looks like everything and responding in kind.
*Pinkie toe blasts are so 1980s; we need something more enduring and versatile... like hunched over butt-blasting (should work for summon powers as well). -
Shadowrun Kickstarter project... might have to look that up (I recently chipped in to support Chris Warner's Punisher Kickstarter project).
-
It seems that many of the ATO Procs have a Recharge enhancement component built into them.
Wouldn't this affect its own PPM rate even without slotting for further Recharge?
If so, is the net effect enough to warrant asking for the Recharge component to be removed, changed to a different attribute or to have the PPM upped to compensate for it? -
-
Kinetic Melee's damage debuff to add on to your resists plus it has stuns and KD/KB to help layer things out a little.
-
I agree with Demons being a prime choice; they already come with mitigation and healing for themselves and you.
Next up would probably be Bots (for that infected War Works feel); again they have mitigation for everyone (but only heals for themselves). -
It would be nice to see Ouroboros used more for 'historical' missions rather than just content rehash.

Quote:You're correct; Mishii had the 53+... so you have my apologies there. On the contrary, you obviously love your own writing or lack there of. Again, I never said I was 53 as well. Maybe you should stop trolling and learn to read. I hit 50 about the same time as the person saying they were a 50+3, and as I stand right now. I'm 50+1. Since you love to quote everything I write in bits and pieces so you can get your "hits" in on all of them, to make yourself feel better, do it with this one too if you like. Have fun with playing your controller. After playing this game for quite a long time, the mechanics in this set didn't take me long to grasp, so I'm not sure why you think you know me and how long it will take to learn this power set-up. Tell me more about your Irrelevance to the topic at hand! Go back to playing your own Plants/NA troller and be silly there as well! You make me giggle with your trolling.
However, my rebuttal of your assertion (and corresponding attitude) that everyone that commented was jealous of you and refused to help you because of such remains solid. You brought it on yourself when you decided to get petty. You deserved it even more when I tried to objectively explain what everyone's itch was and you decided to take it the wrong way (even though my last statement in that was snarky (but snark breeds snark)); becoming even more petty.
I have a PLed toon somewhere as well; I have nothing to be jealous of. -
However, since there are a few similarities between /Dark and /Nature's Affinity I can probably help out a little bit.
Healing and Regen are your two biggest assets (especially in team play) build to optimize those powers healing and recharge.
Go Pure Hero and get your Hero Alignment Power; pair it up or stagger it out with Overgrowth.
You have enough mitigation and recuperative power to build for more damage (Reactive Interface, Musculature Alpha, Assault Hybrid (although Seeds will allow you to take better advantage of Cognitive Interface; throw in a Contagion proc and you'll be a very happy camper)
Clarion Radial will boost all of your Healing and give you mez protection that you'll be needing.
Note: Support Hybrid will also get you (and your team) boosts to mitigation, healing and damage. -
Quote:Since you have the first level 53 Plant/NA (in addition to possibly the first level 53 BM/NA) its logical to assume (outside of the Beta testers) that you are, in fact the most experienced Nature player at 50.I missed the part where I said I was the most experienced Plant/NA troller in the game, in this forum where i'm asking for advice on playing Plant/NA troller.
Quote:Not sure if you saw the build I posted, thats the one i'm asking for advice on.
Quote:I haven't played a plants troller because I haven't played a plants troller.
Quote:Can't feel bad that I haven't played EVERY powerset in the game. You might want to know other sets I haven't played that you must have played. Time, Cold Domination, Street Justice, Radiation Aura, shall I keep going?
Quote:Your @$$ must be jealous of all the $#!7 that that you write on the internet.
Quote:Go stroke ur epeen somewhere else plz. -
Quote:I think its more of a case that since you're that good; you should be offering us help on our builds. You talking about Plantasy? Took a little over 2 hours for her to get 50 as well. So maybe you weren't the first on Freedom.
Anyways to everyone else. Thanks for turning this thread into a lot of trolling and comments that read like borderline jealousy, but the fact is, I've got over 10 lvl 50's and at least half of those never stepped foot in an AE. After several runs to 50, it's easy to hop on my farmer, farm up some money so that my new plant/na troller can get 50 asap so I can skip the mid game and go right to the parts I enjoy. I've been playing this build on Test a bit as well, and was hoping someone else who played this on test more extensively, already had a build ready for their future plant/na troller. This isn't a crazy thing to ask, maybe there aren't any build up yet, like I said i'll make one today if not. Don't be petty people, please turn the forum back into a request for a plant/na build. Thanks!
Honestly, I want to be able to have a NA/Plant build that can hold it own against the core game (different mez types, different damage types, different debuff types) so it has a solid core by the time it gets into Incarnate content; in less than 24 hours.
Since you have the most experienced Plant/NA; I should be asking you for at least a rudimentary build based on that experience of yours as an answer to this.
Otherwise, I can figure it out for myself in Mids.
[Oh, wait... forget /NA, you don't even know how to play a Plant/ Troller?!?] -
Quote:It gets better, Overgrowth also adds a base 12.5% tohit buff. This means you can do the fast snipe without tactics. You will still need the Kismet though.
Personally, I'm gonna make take my NA/DP from test and remake him live. With this combo you can make a pretty strong -Dam/+Dam machine. With this combo, i've been able to deal with some EBs and Manticore at +1 with relative ease without IOs.
Here are some of the -Dam numbers this combo can acheive.
For aoe and you will have to use Chem rounds that provide -Dam.
Spore Cloud with a -28.13%.
Hail of Bullets with a -25% for 8 sec.
Bullet rain with a -12.5% for 8 sec.
Empty clips with a -12.5% for 6 sec.
This would provide a small window of 78.18% -Dam and a sustainable (if you keep blasting and jumping) of 53.18%. SC + BR + HoB. Sprinkle in BR and EC as available.
Looks like I miscalculated on this part and it's even better than originally anticipated.
For single target you have
Spore Cloud with a -28.13%.
Corrosive Enzymes with a -31.25% for 30 seconds.
Hail of Bullets with a -25% for 8 sec.
all other single target blasts go for 12.5% for 6 to 8 sec.
That's 59.38 with just spore cloud and corrosive enzymes. Adding in the other numbers (many variations) and you can get to 85% consistently. This assumes you can maintain 2 blast debuffs going (actually it's at 84.38%). You should be able to keep 3 going (for 96.88%) with relative ease.
Not much of a DP guy; so I'll probably have to grab my -dmg from Interface (and I just recently learned that -res can actually help with -dmg) -
Give your Nature a dark palette and pair it up with Demon Summoning, Necro or Dark Control. (IMO, probably a bit frilly for that jungle Merc/AR vibe)
Some have talked about going the Water Blast route as well.
Elven Archery. -
Someone just pointed out the massive damage buffs one could get from Nature/Sonic/Dark...
I'm plugging in some numbers and it comes up good on Heals, Resistance, Damage buffs, Resistance Debuffs.
It's a good build to slot Entropic Chaos and Defender's Bastion procs in (as well as both BU procs).
OG fits; especially when dropping a Dreadful.
As far as skipping; Siren's Song and Shockwave get the axe (for the time being)
