I've been busy having the plague. Today's the first day since I got sick that I've been able to sit up at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time.

Glad to hear you're doing well, but sorry about the car.(And no, knowing that you were in mortal danger doesn't really make me feel differently health-wise.)
I've only been ill since the middle of last week. My roommate got a sinus infection last weekend that went untreated and turned into bronchitis, and she's one of those people who doesn't cover their mouths when they cough.
I convinced her to go to the doctor by informing her that a bronchial infection is just a step away from pneumonia.So the day after she goes to the doctor, *I* started getting sick. So I hit up my doctor the very next day and told him about my roommate's illness, but by that point I was so drained I had to come back home and go to bed. To my roommate's credit, though, she actually did a pretty good job of taking care of me while I was incapacitated, including paying for my antibiotics. (Whether that was due to her genuinely caring about me or feeling guilty for getting me so friggin' sick remains a mystery.)
I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll be returning to work tomorrow... not that I'm looking forward to being on my feet for 7 straight hours as I'm on the tail end of this bug.
