and heck since there is already an engine in place to split rewards (level pacting and XP debt) they could even place a setting that directly deposits funds earned from kills/farming/TFs into the global bank or split it between the toon and the global account. man i am on fire

I personally think it's a godsend for us mortals. Yes yes I know you epeen marketeers and uberfarmers need an easier way to stash your horde but really you own everything already anyways. Raising the influence cap only puts greater distance between the masses and the elite.

i think a comprimise would be to have a global bank account in which one could have access to all hero influence or villain infamy while on a particiular account. The cap would stay at 2 billion that could be carried on a toon at any one time. and perhaps a cool accolade power would be a portable atm (much like the portable workbench) once a character earns the Leader badge (500 million inf) which gives you access to your global bank account for 5 minutes and recharges every 30 minutes.

This is a win for everyone as logging in multiple accounts to transfer or pool influence to large purchases deters many from bidding on WW items. so mortals like me would be more likely to purchase bigger ticket items from WWs/BMs making you eliteists even richer. When you make influence easier to access it is more readliy spent. That is a proven fact of capitolism.

so to summarize Keep the cap Globalize influence/infamy, everyone wins.

I am sure everyone is either well into celebrating New Years or fast asleep but I wanted to start a brief thread about all the great things that we have all experienced in 2009.

I'll start...

Well I finally got over my breakup with HoJ (yes it was my fault) and ventured out into the world of SG hunting and met some great new friends. So here we go.

Angie/Mo - What a great couple not only for their comic relief but being able to get along with anyone. You two make the game so much fun for me. Thank you.

Nibz - Being the youngest of four children I never had the privledge of having a younger sister. You fit the role perfect. I feel totally at home putting you in a headlock and giving wet willies, at the same time wanting to protect you from oncoming traffic. Thank you.

Kahlan - Part of what makes the game great for me is knowing there are things I have yet to accomplish. Your constant raising of the bar keeps the game fresh for me and I so enjoy watching your characters in action. Thank you.

MAH - I am still not sure what made our paths cross but I am glad we did. When I speak of you to others I refer to you as my best online friend. I can barely make it through Atlas Park without someone asking me "Hey 4sh....where's MAH?" Again for everything you have done for me, Thank you.

Champions please take a moment and send a shout out to your peeps that have made a difference in your 2009.

Id suggest next time you run a posi you pull from your global list to avoid such issues. never the less My standing rule for TFs is 2 missions. then take the team survey. depending on my mood it may be worded

from the look of the chat log it looks like the person took it rather well. when you got the peace sign i think you should have let things lie. your need to get the last word in does effect your overall repuation to Forces point. was there a discussion prior to you kicking them? did they say they were going to be on the rest of the tf to help out? again i would suggest in the future on long tfs like shard, posi, synapse, citadel, and sister psyche or a masters run at least 75% of the team should be from your global list. on the quicker ones like ITF/LGTF/manti/numina/katie 50/50 should get you thru unscathed.

Easy Elf...I think there is a middle ground here. We can all agree that more pvpers participating in events/zone pvp on Champion server is a good thing. Keep in mind our mission is not to bring them into our world with the same brutality as we came up, though it made us tough, it also wasn't fun all the time. Our mission is to help players with an interest in pvp explore it, at their pace. I may be going out on a limb here speaking for scribe but for as aggravating as you can be there is no hate directed to you or any ATs you play.

Having teamed and opposed your toons I say with earnest you deserve alot of respect for the toons and playstyle you have developed. Now it is time to take the next step and make those around us better, not just ourselves. Scribe and others are attemting to accomplish this not with the hammer and sythe but with a gentle hand to show you can have fun in RV and arena.

Deep down i think you know this and that is why you have rolled a new dominator to place yourself back in the challenge where you thrive best.

Take a deep breath and enjoy the new blood, old friend.

Hopefully we can get more enrolled than a sea of blasters and therms. considering they are currently two of the best ATs to duel with prob not.

I must say SG pride is about one of the coolest elements of this game. Having served as officer in 3 sgs, and leader in two of them I must say if I had a member this committed I am doing at least one thing right.

However....

Success only counts if it is sustainable. Considering many of the heavy hitters named in the video (Hinden, Artic, Twisted, etc.) won't even be seen dead wearing a PON tag says much is not right in PON.

In the same breath, I would like to send out gobs of respect for Elf Stalker for his extended period of good behavior and remaining (relatively) drama free.

In my studies of interpersonal relations I found for any community to thrive it must contain several elements.

A moral leader - we have many of these (Amy, Force, UC, Kat, etc)
A progressive thinker - (Kahlan, Bronx, Shinobi, Silas, siphon, etc)
Productive members - (the bulk of our community)
A regressive thinker - (targus, sinister, etc)
the despised - (Bud, Stryker, etc)

but at one time I do recall PON being quite respected. I think its a shame, you are allowing your reputation to taint the hard work of your peeps. But as far as I am concerned keep doing what you are doing because its good for the community now that skooter is left for greener pastures.
