Quote:"It matters not what you do, or why you do it.Y'know, I love how in this game it is perfectly acceptable to take a power that is considered sub-par or entirely useless, if it looks and/or sounds cool enough.
This playerbase rocks.
Only that you look godawesome when doing so!" -
Quote:The only problem I see with that is one I myself would share: even though prestige is not lost when a character leaves a supergroup, the total amount of prestige for a character, that big high number that one has risen to after months and years of playing...resets back to zero.
I worked to get my characters leveled (don't let the registration date fool ya; this is my second account and I've been around since May 2006). I worked to get my badge toon where he is now. I worked (not so hard with the market et al, but still) to get the millions of Influence I have now along with all the millions I've spent along the way. And I've worked to push my character's prestige up into 7 digits.
If having my hero go to the dark side means I lose my prestige total, then I ain't havin' it. I'd almost put money that the devs realize some players place a (high) value on such a thing, and would consider that when devising their mechanism for how SGs will work in Going Rogue.
But, like so many things about Going Rogue, we just. Don't. Know.
Sometimes I feel like sending Marketing some anti-Hallmark cards, y'know?
This doesn't quite gel with the whole 'Double Agent' part of Going Rogue, which Im sure one of the Devs mentioned, and the Spy AT, if that comes to pass.
However, yes....We'll just have to see. -
I think from the sounds of it it's a bit like what happens on XboxLive. As in, people can see your status, what your doing, if your teaming with people, etc.
So, sort of like an expanded global friends list.
Tbh, not really fussed about this. Just another thing to hassle over, when the game works perfectly fine without it. -
Nope. In fact, thats the first thing I tried.
My stalker had outleveled Darla Mavis, who you need to unlock Psimon Omega. I completed her arc in Flashback. No, I dont know if it ever was meant to unlock contacts again, probably not.
However, Naylors arc is not in the same level range as Darla or Psimon. He's in the 35-45 (might be 35-40) range. Which effectively means you have to wait till 40 to access it if you miss the specific contact tree.
Either way, it's a hell of a lot more hassle than just unloading pain on the Shard with a group of friends, which is fully possible Blueside. -
I'm suffering from Gunners lock all over again.
Take Assault rifle. Add in BU from /Ice. Now give me a mob...
My trigger finger just hotwires itself into my brain, and starts whispering to me.
The sight of the huge BoN (Big orange numbers) when I unload a storm of Full Auto, Flamer and M30 nade on a mob is a wonder to behold.
I may faceplant, but you can NEVER take my triggerhappy tendancies! =D -
Early-game 1-20 (The pre-Stamina levels)
Mid-game 21-34
Late-game 35-49
End-game 50
35 is when stuff like RWZ and Cimerora unlock, opening up the majority rest of the world. Pre-Stamina tends to be more of a chore these days, especially on endurance heavy alts. At least for me.
Still, once they DO get Stamina, then the whoopass begins

We all agree to disagree, we get it.
People will always play the game they want to play it, and thats quite probably the way it should be. So, shall we just leave it at that?
Ah, who am I kidding? I might as well ask Nemesis to hand in his staff and come quietly

Quote:Hardly. For the specific missions which unlock the Shard, you need to head to Nerva at a very specific level to start paper missions. After the bank, you have to pick Darla Mavis. Then you have to run her arc. And then Psymon Omega's arc. And THEN you get to Technician Naylor. Now, you might be able to simply out level them, then get given the next contact, but, if you forget, you're screwed.1. The Rularuu weapon unlocks sooner and easier for villains than heroes. Try again after research.
Either that, or you have to pick Scirroco's arc, which some might not want to do.
Now, explain to me how that is easier then simply getting a team of friends together and strolling in and opening a can of hurt on the Rularuu in the Shadow Shard, which has unlimited access and chances for levelling anyway?
It's more annoying when you miss it on a character who you want the weapons on (stalker) and I didnt see you needed the whole contact chain to get to them. -

Quote:So with you on that one. Whoever designed the female run animation is...well...they don't get out much, put it that way.It has been commented on before, but not much. Personally, I despise the female running animation with a passion and I am VERY happy that shields cause them to run in a more respectable way. I'm not opposed to optionally picking different stances, but I do NOT want to lose the ability for my shielders and weapon users to not jiggle their butts when they run.
Considering it hasn't changed since the release, Im not surprised, but hey...theres no real excuse for fail. -
Still need to address the likes of Unveiler and Cap Buster redside.
Y'know, those horrible horrible, defeat X ones, which happen to be for unlockables....which are, sort of, nigh on impossible to achive?
Oh, and the ones for Rularuu weapons? Which are two arcs in the entirety of CoV?
Seriously, Heroes got enemy proliferation in the Hollows, and they have access to all the enemies they need. Villains? Fake Nems and Paragon Protectors in better numbers outside of missions, redcaps, Family bosses and Overseers in ANY numbers.
Please, kay, thanks. -

Quote:Well, I will definitely try a rad blaster and a claw brute. It would be nice though to have some new content or even refurbished content to level them with. Yes even AE-content get tedious after awhile.
All I am asking is that they bring us those nice QoL things with a few pieces of new content to keep us happy. It is not as if it is hard to make stories these days, the most important thing is to have a decent writer.
Given the 'feedback' they got for the I15 TF and SF, their probably slamming a few writers through bootcamp, training and general spec-op story-fu courses
And I don't blame them.
If I17 and GR coincide, it's fairly likely (not certain, mind) that there will be story content to go with that, a la I6 and CoV was. -
"Who and/or what is Nemesis?"
Biggest mystery in-game ^^
I like suspense, but I do like a mystery to be solved, all the clues to add up, a conclusion of sorts. Even if a story then moves on into a new chapter of it, a story has to have a beginning, a middle and an end.
Even if the end is when time itself ends
-
Account wide would be nice, but it really shouldn't be necessary.
Simply put; These badges shouldn't be so damn hard to get.
I'm speaking mainly about things like the Tommy, Nemesis and Crey guns redside. The enemies that you need are SO damn rare. And yeah, thats not even mentioning the Rularuu weapons, where you HAVE to either get in line for Naylors arcs or use Scirroco's missions if you want any hope of getting them.
Blueside, the majority of these are far, far easier to come by. Nemesis? Spawns all over Peregrine Island. Redcaps? HUNDREDS of the little gnats in Croatoa. Overseers? Shadow Shard, nice and simple.
Redside? Dear oh lord your in trouble... -

Tier 9 Power;
[Crashing Facepalm]
Dear Lord.... -
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!1
Strewth on a stick...Get over it already! It's not game breaking, it's not a Nemesis/Dev/Uncle Bob plot, it's an exp tweak that has been so long in coming that it rusted slightly in the pipeline.
If you find it that game breaking, your probably on the wrong game >.< -
Striga's Council base. Was flying over it on my main back in the day, thinking "Holy...These guys are actually kinda serious, aren't they?" I then proceeded along the walls, pummeling merry hell outta them

Also, the Sky Raiders SF redside. The oil-rig base. When you hop off the ship and go "Oh...hells."
The Crey base in the far north of Grandeville is also kinda cool.
And the floating rocks in Eastgate in the Hollows! ^^ -
So much win ^^ can't think of any good ones myself, although it is 1 in the morning here

I'm sorry, but are people suffering so bad from 'rectal cranial inversion' that they are forgetting the simple fact;
If Freaks Rez, they give the exp again.
So, you have to fight them twice? The second time being easier due to Dull Pain having been used and the 4 seconds of them slowly getting up.
So you get the exp again. It's hardly unfair.
I mean, sheesh...Do you want to start from 50 too? -
I don't even know why they were removed in the first place =[
If it was somehow an issue, would it have been that hard to give people a 'Dont show pet speech bubbles' option?
As an avid RP'er and one who uses a few Masterminds, the pets can be as talkative as a Player character.
Now theyre confined to the Chat tab. If people even have Pet dialogue on it -
