  1. Every single other badge that has ever had duplicate names has been changed. There's no reason for this one to stand just because it's not shared by a single alignment.

(Badge trackers cannot tell the difference between the two, though the devs shouldn't change it *JUST* because of that. The devs should change it so there isn't two badges with the same name that don't describe doing the same thing.)

    Rain of fire

[dam/rech, dam/rech] from two different sets would be better. Then booster them. RoF has a 60s base recharge rate. You definitely want that up more often. Unless you have an absolutely ridiculous global recharge rate, in which case [damage, damage] *or* [damage, dam/rech] would be better.
  3. I had level 50 eyeballs (not soldiers of rularuu, they were all eyeballs) in one of my bugged papers. Farmed the crap out of that thing for a few friends. (Eyeball bosses are one way to get Rularuu weapon customizations.)
  4. So give them minion level rewards. Just not "no rewards".
  5. If it makes a difference, I say that I'm firing veng before I do it and give it a second or two if someone wants to squeeze into the radius. Similar to what I do with RAs/AM/etc.

If it will make little difference, I may or may not say it.
  6. If you're holding newspaper or radio mission over a big enough patch, it will bug out and put a seemingly random villain group in the mission, and remove the appropriate boss name from the record.
  7. Not terribly. If you know the terms that the game uses (which you've shown a couple times to misunderstand, so I'll grant you that one), it's pretty easy. Since it uses the same terms the game uses.

You should have seen it before Codewalker got ahold of it and made it more user-friendly.
  8. Check your setting in options for "disable blinking" for status window, group window, and pet window.
  9. They are fully capable of reducing rewards for one particular enemy.

The wiki is for overview documentation, matching what the game description says (aka the human-error-prone), and in-depth documentation and numbers only when another Titan site doesn't do it better.

For numbers, use City of Data. Its information is pulled directly from the files by somewhat-nefarious means, so it will always match the game data (typically within 1-3 patches). http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/powers/

(We're hoping to link the wiki to City of Data eventually, but Titan Network needs more programmers to undertake the various projects we've got going.)
  11. I would just like to point out what seems to be the heart of the matter: Ignore the descriptions.

What the descriptions say doesn't matter. The descriptions are written by humans, who often get things wrong - even willfully continue to think the wrong thing, after a long discussion about how things are done (like this thread).

What matters is the mechanical part, not the description. That's what the game pays attention to.

The game doesn't care what the description says. The description could say "I'm a little teapot" and the game would still do whatever the mechanics say to do.

Your version of 'true knock-down' doesn't exist.

There is no version of knockback that doesn't change due to "purple patch" or enemy vulnerabilities/protections. There are two knock powers in the game: knockback and knockup. There is no such thing as this supposed "true knock-down" that you're talking about.

Air Superiority is a knock*UP* power. Not a knockback or knockdown power. Different mechanic.
  13. You are wrong. This is what we're trying to tell you. You don't understand the mechanics correctly.

There are two knock types in the game: Knockback and knockup.

If it's a low magnitude knockback, things just fall down instead. There is no mechanic called "knockdown", that is just a "colloquialism" (by the devs) to differentiate the visual difference between low-mag kb and high-mag kb.

The reason low-mag knockback powers change from making things fall down to making things fly back is because of the "purple patch", which increases the ...er, POWER... of our powers against lower level enemies (it will also decrease the power of our powers against higher level enemies; this can cause high-mag knockback powers to knock enemies down instead of back). You can also see this when using a low-mag knockback power (aka knockdown) against an even-level Clockwork: Clockwork have a NEGATIVE resistance to knockback, a vulnerability if you will, which causes knockback powers to be more effective against them.

Not exactly, because Dark Melee doesn't have a "chance" of doing damage.

It's like saying the Miracle unique has a 100% proc rate (which is true). It is a chance of happening that is set at 100%.

Before making ignorant comments like that you might want to search for some red name comments upthread.

The badge is not bugged, and they did not track completion status until the contact was put in.

whose crotch was thrust in our faces,
    thank god for /data/.

(I never said I was good. But really. Thank god for /data/ image replacement.)

Looks like all of the market IOs (they're listed as Attuned) are PPM now.

    Is it justified?

I haven't spent any money after Freedom launched beyond my monthly fee, and I have several new power sets to play with. I think it's certainly justified.
  20. It's broken. No word on when it'll be fixed. They know about it.

The color of their name indicates subscription status, btw. Cat puke tan for VIP, white for free/preemie.

You can also click on their name - if they have the option to PM them, they are VIP; otherwise, free/preemie.
  22. I got support on my preemie account (via emails, not via /petition) shortly before Christmas. I haven't played my preemie account for awhile, but I doubt they have changed their policies since then.

Neither of those help the OP. The issue is that you cannot buy anything that VIP status grants you for free, even if you don't have access to it outside of VIP. OP will have to hope that his VIP runs out before the MM sale.

(Yes, this is ABSOLUTELY stupid of them to code it this way.)
  24. There are plenty of powers that don't re-award through flashback. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that with this one.
