  1. Do we really need to post the list of powers that are perfectly fine with just the base slotting? Cuz I'll do it.. I swear.
  2. Arbegla = Arb-eg-la or atlest thats how i say it all the time. Most people just shorten it to Arby, which of course creates a lot of roast beef jokes..
  3. Put my vote on fire/fire/fire, with enough recharge, you can hit about 450 sustained single target DPS, and have enough AoE from fireball, rain of fire, combustion, and hot feet to ruin just about any groups day.

Flashfires + fire cages with a hold proc means very few things are going to have much of an effect, and as your in melee anyways for hotfeet and combustion, cinders isn't a bad power to grab either. Makes holding EBs that much easier when you can toss another hold in your rotation.
  4. Is it just me, or did they not use the invisability cloak AT ALL in the movie, where in the book they use it as much as possible?

    DP/DEV Builds

Here's my DP/Dev. I worked on some range defense, with a decent amount of damage bonuses, and multiple ways to confront the enemy (using temp powers, as well as the powers available to her)

  6. Solo, repeatable Incarnate content? How about the RWZ, Borea offers repeatable level 50+ missions, then theres the PvP zones, there are repeatable level 50+ missions there, then theres cimcity, with repeatable level 50 missions against romans..

    Does that count?

  8. While Interplanetary travel would be awesome, if it was expanded on (think rikti homeworld) we already have that now. Shadow Shard, Praetoria, and to a much lesser extent, Pocket D
  9. Just to quote that link provided awhile ago, This is the snip-it of how RoTP is described.

    "
“Hang in there.” the captain whispered, transfixed by what he was seeing.

The chief soldier finally made it to the front. Stepping forward, his dead, alien eyes locked with Alumette’s as he pulled a two handed sword glittering with power. “BRING IT!” she shouted, casing her arms wide. With a flare, the ground around her exploded igniting the breach and turning it into a furnace in seconds. Alien screams filled the air as warrior after warrior pitched over, was flash fried, or backed away trying to put out a flames that burned through energy fields, armor, and flesh with equal voracity. The chief soldier strode into the flames unconcerned to tower at nearly twice Alumette’s height. With a double handed swing, the blade slammed into Alumette’s body and drove her to the ground with a shriek and crump that cracked ground beneath her. As she tried to rise, he lifted the weapon high over his head and brought it down again, slamming it into her head and back and driving her flat. Dazed, stunned, and now uncertain, Alumette again tried to stand.

*First in battle” she muttered, blood dropping from her mouth to vaporize in the flames.
“First to fall…” she whispered shaking as she tried to push her legs under her.

“NOOOOO!” the captain yelled as he watched the blade rise.

With another downward stroke, the Soldier drove the sword into Alumette’s prone body, her arms flailing upward as the impact literally drove her into the earth and doused the flames surrounding her with a soft pop.

“We have them all!” the SAS Sergeant said. “We HAVE to go!”

The captain nodded in abject horror. “Go…go go go go go Get us OUT of here!” The VTOL powered up with a roar as the last of the troops came on board.

The Chief soldier planted a foot on Alumette’s back as his troops surrounded him. Pointing to the rising craft, he screeched a command and in unison the aliens raised their rifles.

“NEVER FALL!” Alumette’s voice echoed through the compound heard everywhere and aboard the craft as her fallen body exploded into flames. Twin wings of pure yellow and red fire expanded from her back as she broke free from the ground, her eyes blazing with white hot fury. The captain shielded his face as the warriors surrounding the risen phoenix burst into flames. Lashing a hand forward, the now hovering Alumette seized the Chief Soldier by the throat, and staring into his eyes as the wings of blazing flame enfolded him, she pressed a single finger into his forehead, the touch super-heating his armor and cooking him inside. Letting go, she dropped his corpse to the smoking earth."
  10. Camo, what exactly are you going for? You took hover, combat jumping, super jump, and super speed, as well as the full leadership pool, yet didnt take a single of your hard hitting melee attacks.

Both Frozen fists, and Ice Sword have better DPA then fire blast, meaning they will do more damage more quickly then your 2nd highest damaging range attack.

You took shiver, yet didnt take chilling embrace. I can see shiver being used as a IO mule, but your a /ice blaster. instead of trying to build to be a hover blaster, you might as well take advantage of your inherent slows, and put them to good use.

Chilling embrace has a pretty nice -dmg debuff, as well as slowing things down, in decent enough radius. It also works in a circle, so if your hover blasting on top of something, they will be debuffed while your still hovering away.

I noticed you put 5 or more slots into your powers to get pretty high +range def bonuses, but didnt slot any BoTZ in your build to take advantage of the nice +range def it offers, for very limited slotting. +1.25% range def, for 2 slots is a very nice combo, especially if your going to take that many powers that can use BoTZ.

Aim and BU should have identical slotting. You want both of those powers up as much as possible, especially if your going to get hasten. Your a blaster, your meant to do damage, and do alot of it very quickly.

Both Stamina and health are using WAY too many slots. If you cut back stamina to just 3 performance shifters (+end proc, pure end mod, and pick between the end mod/rech or end mod/acc) and cut back health down to just the numina proc, and put in a Miracle +recovery proc, you'll actually have MORE recovery then you do now, for much less slotting.

Just something to work off of, i'll think about posting a build after you read over this.
  11. I donno, a fire/empathy could perma fort on their imps, making them even more damaging, and allowing them to take a few hits. I could see it working out pretty well actually.
  12. If you want a true jack of all trades powerset, look at traps.

-regen, +regen, -def, +def, -tohit, -rech, -res, decent Damage from mines/caltrops
  13. For i19 heres my SS/invuln/soul build.

I took darkest night for those pesky psi users, and with CJ and like 2 guys in melee range (maybe its 1.. havent check the numbers in awhile) i'm capped to S/L def. That plus my high resistance from the passives, and set bonuses, means i can pretty much kill anything before it kills me.

  17. Trick arrow is a jack of all trades kinda powerset.

It starts off slow, with entangling arrow, and flash arrow, but glue arrow is nice to keep things slowed down so AoEs take em out from a distance, ice arrow is just a ST hold, and poison gas arrow is kinda meh.

But once you get acid arrow, disruption arrow, and oil slick arrow you'll be able to slow things to a crawl (glue arrow) then debuff them down to really nothing (acid arrow, disruption arrow) then use blazing arrow to light oil slick arrow, and watch things just burn.

Thats without using any of your archery attacks at all
  18. If anything, with the up coming Alpha slot bonuses.. Accuracy was BUFFED!
  19. Ya know, people can't explain how its an exploit without mentioning an exploit, which is against the forum rules.. so awesome catch 22.
  20. Also keep in mind that the PvP IO bonuses aren't affected by exemplaring, so you can slot level 50s and have the bonuses all the way down to level 1. They work just like purple sets do. Might be something to consider as well.

Yeah, but you won't get the 2.5% damage bonus, or the max end (which domination will refill every 90 seconds)

Plus, the PvP set offers higher enhancement values

With the build i have on hand, without using hover, you sitting on about 19.7%def to lethal/smash/energ/neg/fire/cold with 1 person in range of invinc, with 10 people in range, you at 30.5%. As you took both resist physical damage, and tough hide, your at 50% def debuff resistance, so to floor your defense, they need to do about 40% -def (about 8 hits, give or take) to about 61% -def (again, about 12 hits, give or take)

for reference, a soft capped invuln would need about 90% -def, or about 18 hits to floor.

As for the 'Does having -def values make it easier for them to hit me?' question, the short answer is yes, to a point. that point is until their total 'tohit value' hits 95%. once it hits that point, they can't hit you anymore often then you could hit them at 95% chance to hit.

Think of -def as +tohit, and it'll be much easier to account for.

(pro tip, if they debuff your defense, but you debuff their tohit, your basically canceling out their debuffs (or rather, they are canceling out your debuffs) up until to the point where one value is greater then the other)
  23. most contacts are five level ranges, so 1-5, 5-10, 10-15, 15-20, 20-25, 25-30, 30-35, 35-40, 40-45, 45-50, but if you cut yourself short at 4, 9, 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 39, 44, and 49 you should be able to do every single contact possible.

Bonus points if you do it from every side possible (swap sides between 20-24, then run ouro arcs)

    Dm/invul!

The problem lies in your build blue, you have very little defense to go off of, so when things start debuffing it, you face cascading failure much quicker. If someone builds for softcapped defense, then the 50% def debuff resistance from invuln is enough to keep them there with very little work (get debuffed down to 33%? pop a small purple, back at the soft cap)

While dark melee offers ALOT of -tohit, you gotta be in melee range for most of it, so with things with ranged -def (pretty much anyone with a machine gun, or those darn peacebringer PPDs) can really put the hurt on you if your not careful.
  25. Hey chaos, I'm gonna link ya my fire/fire/fire dom build, shes built for pure recharge, and massive damage, so here ya go.
