Fully agree. I would +rep to make up for it, but you seem to have too much +rep from me recently to allow that

Some parts of the game ARE still hard. I had the feeling of 'Awe and anticipation' during the Baracuda Reichs SF. The cutscene had me raring to go. Hell, even the mission after that was fine, as it was explained why it happened.
The actual end fight? Well, it didn't help that the first try was when the MM God-mode crasher power was bugged...and I was the MM. I got so freaking angry on that run...sheesh.
Thats the thing. We dont play games to get angry with them. We play games to enjoy them. Sure, it should be challenging at times, and have puzzles and optional bits. I mean, case in point, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Yes, bits were hard. But, dear lord, I woulda loved to have met the guy who designed the levels. They were awe inspiring. Sure, the lack of a compass (or a decent map...) made it a bit harder for the wrong sort of reason, but that was outweighed by the awesome factor.
Games are meant to be fun. However you play them. Thats the be-all and end-all, however you look at it. -
Quote:The facade of sociality is what attracts them.Just an odd note: The forums have 168 posts of support for Loyalists, whereas only 102 for Resistance.
On Twitter, however, support is vastly and overwhelmingly for Resistance. I'm really curious as to this discrepancy by social network of choice.
Bah. Her multi-lingual abilities would have been an asset. It's a shame she seeks to pull from our brave structure its very pillars.
The lies and witterings they have all been fed.

Quote:^ ThisActually, Stalkers are quite capable of remaining in melee combat. They don't hit and run. They hit first, then keep hitting. The "book it to a safe hiding spot" is unnecessary because the safest spot is amongst a pile of your foes' remains.
Gimped = my Dual Blades/Dark Armour Brute, soon to be deleted. +0 x2 Longbow mobs chew him up and spit him out...at level 32. The claws/ninja version of the same character is the one doing the chewing. -

Quote:What, you mean bidding on IOs has ever been possible? The inf. cap is 2 billion. Besides the fact that I would just like to stop using the CH to store inf., I have seen a surprising number of PvP recipes sell at the cap in single sales. It makes me wonder how many are circumventing the market so as to exceed the cap. I have no problem with that, bar the part where the rest of us don't get to bid on them.
There is a reason I tend to only think about IOs at lvl 50, and why I quickly lose interest in that, too. -
Quote:Thats the really important one, anyway.Inspiration trading has already been green-lighted.
I support market integration for the redistribution of wealth from heroes to villains, as well as the glut of supply blue-side to red-side.
I also support raising the inf. cap.
There's an inf cap? Oo -

Related to Zombie-Mans post, the Egyptian Pharaoh's used to marry within the family to maintain the 'Blood of Kings/Gods' and suchnot.
Also, for all we know things could be retconned slightly. The Identity of Ms Liberty/Dominatrix is the important thing...not the person themselves. As in, it will still be Domi, but it might be a different person.
I'm just gonna wait and see, personally. Safest bet.
(No, kidnapping Manticore and forcing him to tell is not safe, even for a stealth operative like me

Let the hunt begin.

Quote:Enlighten me.All right, enough of this nonsense about Loyalists, or Resistance, or Anarachists, or even Pantslessness, what we all really want to do is sit down and play some games. Maybe surf the web a bit. There's some cool YouTube videos out there that you should look up. And then you need to check twitter, right? Feeds ain't gonna read themselves, you know.
Given that we all have these desires, we now need a tool to do such things. I humbly present to you the computer. This handy electronic device will let you do all the above, and more! It is the must-own item for the discerning consumer. Or any consumer, really. Even non-consumers should get one, to be honest.
There are only a few things you need to know about the computer: 1) The computer is your friend. 2) You should trust the computer. 3) The computer knows everything. Yes, everything. And it doesn't hold that time you broke your mom's favorite vase against you. Or anything else, for that matter. Because the computer is your friend.
Now, who is ready to give up all this faction nonsense and join with me in serving the computer?

Hunt.
Or be hunted.
There is no middle ground. -

Praetorian Chess Club: On the surface this club is identical to ones you may find here in Primal Earth. The only real difference is that the winner of high-level tournaments inevitably disappears as the Loyalists “recruit” them into their Advanced Strategy and Combat Tactics Division.

Too...large?!
Sorry, have you seen some of the sig pictures out there? They take up the entire freaking bar. -
Quote:That said, even 'The other game' has adverts in google-ads and stuff. Even little web-based ones would be something. CityOf is on the edges of the map when it comes to that sorta thing. The problem is, advertising is expensive, celebrity endorsement is even more expensive, and advertising campaigns are good for short-term boons, not for an ongoing product. WoW can afford TV ads because it's freaking WoW.
The PC-Mac style adds with Hero and Villain on TV were good. Just something to get attention would be a good thing. -
Serve the Emperor.
Hunt those who oppose.
They can only run so long...and there is nowhere to hide.
Be rewarded with the satisfaction of the hunt.

I like the sound...just not EVERY freaking attack! Its at just the wrong pitch and whatnot, and gives me a headache after a while. -
Quote:So freakings /SIGNEDI want to open by saying that I think CoV's system of unlocking contacts via Mayhem missions is a mistake. It doesn't make the game more proactive, since you're still reacting to opportunities. It just makes it more cumbersome.
Secondly, while I'd be happy to have a variety of paper/scanner mission TYPES, I'd really like to have the ability to target a specific faction. It really helps with hunts, and sometimes I just feel like taking on someone in specific.
Here's what I have in mind. We want something that's proactive, right? So instead of waiting for the paper to print something for us to react to, why not have a source of information on the enemy groups where we can go to check? It'd go something like this:
This is the PPD criminal database. Who would you like to investigate?
1. Freakshow
2. Council
3. Warriors
4. Tsoo
5. Family
6. Sky Raiders
Prompt: 3
Listing recent Warriors activity. Which would you like to investigate?
1. Robbery of a local pawn shop
2. Kidnapping of Dr. Winslow from the local hospital
3. Theft of Isis' Divining Rod
4. Suspected possession of illegal artefacts
5. Arrest warrant for Yanis "The Strong" Sertakis.
6. Suspected gang activity in the abandoned Peterson office complex.
Prompt: 5
Yanis Sertakis, the leader of a violent Warriors faction suspected of multiple thefts, assaults and a murder, is believed to be hiding out in a cave complex underneath Talos Island. Sertakis is considered armed and extremely dangerous, and no PPD forces of sufficient strength are currently available to enact his arrest. This is an official request for any licensed heroes to arrest Yanis Sertakis and bring him in for questioning.
---
Of course, that sort of thing is a lot of work to pull together and a lot of work writing missions. However, these missions might end up being slightly less random (and random isn't exactly good, judging from experience), make more sense AND give us better opportunities to actually do something truly proactive. And I mean proactive in terms of narrative, not just proactive in that "I clicked a button, it wasn't automatic."
Awesome idea. I'd love to see that get in game someday =] -
Ended and re-subbed with the new 6-month plan as soon as they announced the Loyalty thinger.

Quote:Vanguard Merits from level 1. Or change the stupid costs on the costume options.Cross faction everything, not just MA. Just because they can't start the Vanguard arcs on their own doesn't mean anything is stopping them from participating with a mixed team running them. Same with a Ship Raid. They'd more than likely be a complete leech, and they wouldn't get bonus VMerits, however theoretically they'd get great xp and credit for the Ship Raid badges.
That is all.
