    Uhm...
    Since forever?

Invul has all the Res portions, with Invincibility providing a taunt aura, +def to self for every enemy in range, and Tough Hide gives an auto +def.

Invul is STILL very good. My build is Invul/EM as well. Mostly I've run him on vanilla IOs, but the game hasnt become harder with IOs. I am slowly setting him, simply for an excuse of something to do, and to plug the gap of Psi in his build, being Invul.

Oh, and Cimerorans are NASTY. Nastier than Vanguard. They are meant to be. I dont know *why* Romans hit harder than anything else, but meh, whatever. Compensate and keep a wary eye on them. They die the same as anything else that has ET used on it.

Edit: Oh, and looking over that spreadsheet may make some people think twice about taking the proposed Toxic secondary damage type for Dual Pistols if it doesn't come with a -resist secondary effect.
    *boggles a bit*

I doubt that any one damage type has superiority overall, tbh. There will always be *something* that resists it, and always be some mobs that people hate because they resist more than others.

Still, interesting reading =] when I feel brainy
  3. Xariel punched a massive, armoured arm clean through a squirming spirit, ichor and ectoplasm erupting like a cloud. He made a sort of tutting sound, spinning a chain with the aim being to sweep Ava off her feet and onto her face, before lashing out again to snarl a zombie so thoroughly in chains that it literally burst.

Arkeela was busy as well, her weapon of light having morphed into a sort of long spear which she used to fend off a number of a number of undead. She simply nodded at Suraya, before ramming the weapon home through a shambling corpse.

    Amen to that, Eva.
Try getting 100 VG merits vs Rikti with no ship raid. Then tell me about pain.

If you look at Culex's spreadsheet on resists, you'll see that just about everything that resists Lethal in insane amounts (better than 50%) resists Psi even more.
    Linky for spreadsheet?

Either way, Psi is most certainly not underpowered. The -recharge it stacks is also useful whichever way you cut it.

Right. Easy-mode for the end game. Gotcha.
Pity so many people will be arguing with you on that one.

Hogwash, bilge and claptrap. It will do 'less' damage than Fire, because Fire's secondary effect is more DoT.

Psi has the same base damage as Ice and Energy and Fire (minus DoT). The only difference is in Ice's nuke, which does more damage, but as DoT.

Energy is also part smashing damage, so thats in fact likely to do less, given its more resisted.

Like Domination or Fury, this becomes a new inherent for Tankers that increases the more that the Tanker attacks or gets attacked (probably will raise and lower more along the speed of Domination though, instead of Fury). When activated, this increases the Tankers protection and resistance against Mez effects (useful in certain situations), and also increases their Regen and Recovery.

Now, why Regen and Recovery? Well, Regen helps both Def-based and Resistance-based sets relatively equally, in my eyes. It might help Resistance-based sets a little more, since they tend to give the Tanker more time to heal, but with Defense, you should have more time to heal between each hit. Recovery, because Tanker DPE is pretty bad, so this could help there. There are a few scenarios out there where Mez effects can break through even the Tanker mez protection powers (Ghost Widow, going up against a lot of stunning foes, etc.), so putting a moderate increase to the Tanker for Mez protection and resistance could help out as well.
    Sounds good to me.
Would also help out thinks like Fire and Dark armour which (for some reason) have mez holes in them. And more Recovery is always nice.

I do not relish the thought of trying to Ouro it, or waiting for someone to be generous.

It was a bug. An awesomely cool-looking bug.
Hurl seems to not root at time, but then again it sometimes occurs on a LOT of powers.
One time I was running around on my bow/TA corr, cackling as rooting seemed to have broken that night. Hit and run had never been more feasible. The animations weren't working, but it was still funny.

Short: All powers seem to sometimes skip rooting, variably.
  13. No, because anyone I took to a 'suicide' mission I would fully intend to bring back.

    ....Sorry, but, what?
Psi/Psi is one of the least resisted things in the game. Robots, maybe a little, fine. What else? Rikti a bit?

Everything else just goes 'Oh de-' Dead.

    Alternate Damage

Pretty much guarenteed to not happen for existing sets.
Why? They are balanced as they are, and re-working them would be a lot of work and manpower for something that, potentially, could unbalance it all.
  17. This is all subjective anyway.
People say you can level from 2 to 46 in three weeks...

How often is that playing? Every day? For how many hours? Only on that character, ora alting?
As it is, the Exp curve is much better than it was, and feels much more comfortable.

I despise the 15-19 range myself, simply because, blueside content dries up around there for me (I tend to crash around the Hollows for my early career), redside is variable and, on both sides, the HORRIBLE Stamina crunch. I call it the Fitness Gulch. Its where end consumption seems to hits its peak, while there is nothing to counter it. Pretty much every, if not every other fight, ends in rest or popping blues... *sigh*
  18. White light glistened around the prone townsfolk who had been hit by stray shots, the form of Arkeela glowing slightly as she glanced back. She leapt at a zombie that barred her way, the light in her hands coalescing into a large blade that she used to slice the thing in half, before she scooped up the form of Mr Norman.
"Xariel!" she shouted, over the cacophony.

The fallen glanced at her, grunted, then gestured. Reality seemed to warp for a moment, before Arkeela and her ward appeared again beside him, and Arkeela ran back to the rest of the group. Xariel strode on, chains and blasts of dark, almost hellish light blasting and slicing zombies apart.

If an energy blaster is invited to a team whose strategy involves clustering the mobs around the tank and letting AoEs fly, it is his responsibility to adjust his knockback usage accordingly.

On the other side of it, if a scrapper is invited to a team chock full of stormies, energy blasters, and FF users, it is his responsibility to figure out where he fits in that mix, and not complain because his targets are knocked back.

The blaster in the first example is just as wrong for firing Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast into the middle of the tank's mob as the scrapper in the second example is for demanding that everyone stop using knockback on a team that is full of it.

If either one of those people can not adjust their playstyle, they need to find a different team and not insist that the other 7 people play their way.

THAT was the point I was making Cat.
    ^ This

    Adapting is good, m'kay?

I dont't actually have a blaster with energy (although I might roll one now I have some ideas again...) but I do have a bots MM. People wail at me once in a blue moon about the KB...So, you'd rather I did what? Took inate control over my bots myself? Hmm, Yes Please! I'd love it! But I can't. So enjoy the big orange numbers.

As a scrapper...I use the time they get knocked down to ram something sharp and slicey straight through them and out the other side
  20. If a ship raid is a regular event on your server, I reccomend it. Even if YOU dont kill as many Rikti, its what the team kills that gets turned into merits. No splitting, ever kill the team gets means 1 Merit for every member.

That might not sound like much. But 350+ Merits are common per raid, although it does vary with server and turnout.
Nice exp, inf and prestige too =]

You don't need badges. You NEED to finish these missions.
    YMMV.
I only care when the badges unlock costume items and weapons, like that damn Nemesis badge. Especially when said item is key to a design.

If I dont have a skip handy, I'll either do something else or, if I want to crack on, yell around for some SG/friends to come quickly bash, then roll on. Or just tough it out.

I still /sign making hunts smaller/getting rid of them/making necessary mobs more frequent.

    Wrong.
Naylor's arc only comes up IF you have completed Psimon Omega's arc.
And THAT only comes up if you complete the arc of the ex-Longbow girl before him.

Trust me, I found this out the hard and painful way with my claws stalker when I realised I wanted the claws, and am now stuck with the choices of either picking Scirrocco as a patron, or begging people who have the arc.
I have no idea wether you can get the badge that unlocks them through Ouro or not. Either way, it's no walk in the park.

  24. Adjutant Kayla Drake, ex-Nemesis army. This is the Mk2, which I am immensely happy with, compared to the clunky old version. Sadly, I need both the Nemesis rifle, and an ITF to make it happen. Ah well, levelling time!
    With Rifle:

I know, just using the VG parts, but I'm still rather pleased with Colonel Lyndon. When I stand him next to NPC Vanguard, there's only a very slight difference (leg armour and back plate on NPCs).

Ceasar the Troll in business wear, head of the Rogue Isles Breccia, a rival to the Family ever since they tried to bump him off. Also has a street version.
