  1. Two, and a few honourable mentions;

    Techbot ALPHA
    lvl 50 Bots/Traps Technology MM

The one, the only, the technological nut with a chip on his shoulder. Alpha's been through a few build changes, and might still face a few more. On his off days he steam-rollers x5 missions (an achievement for me) and sucks at PvP Well, I didn't build him for it, and he's Bots/Traps. Meh, I say. He also duo'd Positron and Valkyrie set to AV level and +2, which I consider his crowning glory.

    Chief Centurion Z1
    Lvl 50 Invul/EM Technology Tanker

Respecced so many times and major retconned once, the Chief is still my one character who feels indestructable. Before the AE farm clear out, I took him on a few boss runs just as a joky test of his new build.
I came away grinning like a maniac when he laughed off purple conning hordes of Bosses.
He's been toe-to-toe with Bile, Hro'Dotz, The Honoree and some of the biggest bads in the game (Not Lord Recluse...yet) and he STILL lates the Hamidon

    Krimzon Commander
    Lvl 44 Crab Spider

Not 50, but my first VEAT and fun to play and RP. I still hope to one day lead an entire SG of VEATs and assorted others, but until then he still looks good and plays well. Also my closest to getting an epic to 50.

    Colonel Lyndon
    Lvl 44 Sword/Shield Technology Scrapper

First Shield character who I actually enjoyed playing, first high level scrapper, first of my MS raid combatants, and first character of mine to get a full set of VG armour and weaponary. Created due to messing around in AE and seeing how awesome a VG colonel looked with a sword and shield. I then went and made one He's, frankly, awesome. Still tweaking his build and doing a bit of headscratching, but hey ho.
  2. Saterday is a no-no for me, heading home from Uni, which be a looong drive. Also not sure how long I'll need to hook up the rig back home
  3. Pretty much the title. Given a 1000sec recharge and a crash, is it worth having and slotting? Or skip out for something else?

Oh, and I disagree with Billz. ET wasn't ruined, in my opinion. I enjoy the new animation and the nerf was long overdue. With that said, I have shelved my EM/ELA Brute but I blame WP, SR and the newly proliferated Claws more than Energy Melee (I only have time to play so many brutes. :P).
Use the animation from Footstomps alternate 'Groundpunch', and then makes the ground explode around the user?
As a tier 9, TF feels majorly underwhelming, even with the stun component. It's just TOO slow, for what it does. Long animations on the whole tend to be major turn offs for any power...
  5. I actually skipped over Total Focus. It just....yeah. It's like a fricking Kama-yami-ha or something; by the time I actually HIT, the thing is dead.

If TF was made a PbAoE, now, THAT I could live with. I still love ET, but the longer animation and still the same -hp is rather annoying. I didnt know it did -regen too?

Mostly, my tank is built to grab aggro, and then laugh it off (nearly capped S/L without unstoppable, thanks to Tough) so damage tends to be someone elses problem...but it would be nice if I wasn't totally lacklustre in that department.
  6. RPing. Which I do a lot of.
When I'm chatting, and fancy looking good while doing so, usually on my more visually 'cool' characters, like my Crab Spider, my 5th Column colonel...y'know how it is
  7. Targets marked. Beginning neutralisation...
    For Praetoria...

(Why the epaulets? Use the military jackets, they look much smarter and slicker hair, too. Come on, I could do better )
  8. A little hint is useful, aye.
With my empath/psi fender, I made her power combo be red and white. Except with the Auras, Regen being green and Recovery being blue, alongside the red. It helps remind me, as much as anyone else
  9. Ah, the godawful Vampire from hell...
I gotta say, wusses though Council/5th Vampyri are, Nos himself is actually worthy to call himself any sort of nosferatu.

I take it your US side, otherwise he could try and fail to chow down on mechanical Invul Tanker
Or bring my Empath to buff ya seven ways past oblivion and back, with heals

The only way to fix this is going back to the dev reward metric, which rewards based upon the difficulty of the abilities. This gets real tricky, but I believe is the best way to do it. Fulcrum shift is simply more dangerous than targeting drone.
    ^ This, pretty much.
  11. "You called?" Xariel growled, the chains on his torso shuffling and jungling, a long spool snaking down his right arm to pool by his side. "Do it, mortal."
  12. Like PvP, AE as it is now needs a thorough look over and balance, not half measures.
Tbh, some of the Custom mobs should give MORE exp than standard mobs, based on what sets they have, and what combos they have. While others should give less, down to a baseline for something with no attacks
(I say that because Cimeroran medics still give minion exp, despite having no attacks. They DO have a godpowerful heal and, worse, a rez. They can be nasty in their own unique way.)

    Vanguard Pricing

What Sam said (because I can't even hope to match that )

    What I don't get is this;

How does this negatively effect anyone?
If you don't want to unlock the pieces until it's 'right' for the character or you, that's fine. But why limit character designs that are base around specific themes?

I still argue for making costume piece unlocks a one off global unlock. Once one character has earned the badge/pre-requisite, then it should be on all characters.
If 'having too many VG merits' is such a huge quibble, maybe suggest new rewards that could be put in place, more temp powers, etc.

While halberds and bardiches can do everything a spear can do COUPLED with effectively a very long handled axe, slashing with a normal spear is not the same, unless someone heavily customised the spear head.

I like the general look of it. Maybe make the PbAoE more like the martial arts Dragons Tail, but with a pole-arm, low and sweeping, rather than the jumps you get with swords and katana's. (which works better with katana, worse with sword, axe and mace, IMO)

    I approve, though -nods-

Seriously, I don't get how that's balanced at all...sure, it does knockback from time to time...if that's the reason behind its sub-par damage, get rid of the secondary right now and give it some decent damage, gods damnit...
With the endurance costs and damage as they are, its as if they DONT want you to take attack powers at all....

This is actually what changed my mind on booster packs. Yeah, I was never too hot on spending extra money, and I DO believe that micro transactions are the devil, but here's the thing - if they're not put in as paid packs, they'll be put behind some STUPID condition to unlock them and taken out of character creation. Forget that. $10 is worth the utility of having them available right at the start.

Powers, slots, temps and so on... That's bad. Paying for power is definitely a no-no. But I'd sooner pay for my costumes with money now, than pay for them with money, time, effort and anger over and over again.
Enforcer is ok in parts, but clunky as hell in others. Again, this is all subjective and subject to opinion.
Also, it's nigh impossible to make a Vanguard themed character look anything but a bit clunky from lvl 1. The Vanguard parts are very specific (and in my opinion also some of the best in game atm, looks and crispness wise)

I do like the idea about unlocking badges and icons or something with badges, but putting in all the actual costume pieces from the get go.
Either that OR make them global unlocks. Maybe you don't want a new player having all Nemesis kit, or Rikti weapons, etc. But once a player has fought the mobs once, etc, then allow it to unlock on that account. Giving them more creative room as they make more alts.
  17. I still hold that the CoX Marketing team are Fail.

Seriously, I have NEVER seen an advert for Cityof in the wider world or web. EVER. The only reason I ever knew it existed was because, thankfully. my older bro played it for a while when I was younger, and let me make a character. Eventually, when I was old enough to tell my parents 'F U, I'm buying this,' I hunted down a box set and got it.

Maybe the US has it on the shelves more, I dunno. But CoX is non-existant on EU/British shelves, except a very old, DvD only version of GvE once in a while.
No posters, no adverts, not even google ads. I've seen a few google ads from the other Superhero MMO, why in the name of frag have the marketing team not done anything as simple as that?!

    /despair
  18. Meh. I think I've had my fill of caped characters, mainly my two lvl 50s, who it works on.
Still...don't really approve. But, hey ho. There we go.
  19. I miss my cat...
Even my evil genius namesake has a soft spot for cats. I like dogs too, just...yeah

    BROOT SMARSH!
  21. Here's a quick build.
    Not quite the same as what you have at the moment but;

-You don't really need a travel power so much on a stalker, even less so now with ninja run. Hide is you best power there.
-KB slotted in Hide. Ninjitsu's one hole.
-Soul mastery is optional, but Shadow Meld is a mini-godmode.

Again, just my take on it. Personally I took Claws/Ninjitsu, and loved it all so far =]

  22. I still suggest a 'Weapons shop' idea. With swords, pistols, random stuff and the temp powers.

It never gets very far, but for something to buy for a bit of mission help or for use in RP, I can't see a downside. Besides, aren't people always saying the game needs more inf sinks?
  23. My one quibble with WP is the lack of a click-heal. I know it makes sense, but...maybe it's my current not finished slotting (lvl 33), but RttC doesn't always cover the healing.

Fortunately, Footstomp tends to be the 'panic button', at least on that character. Things can't hit you when they're on their back, getting mauled.

Poor RPing, at least in my opinion.

Villains sometimes win, Heroes sometimes win. If it wasn't the case, MMOs would never work, due to the status quo being what people are fighting over. Sometimes Villains wins, chaos happens. Or sometimes Heroes win, law becomes prevailant. Then the other side wins, and things are pushed back. And forth.
