  3. I made a shortcut to CityofHeroes.exe, and gave it the -ps 64.25.34.144 tag so it looks like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe" -ps 64.25.34.144
    It's telling me i need to run the updater

  6. I know I made about 1 billion inf selling canes the first day. =) I had about 1k saved up from last time, and went clicking presents, getting more... That is pretty much all I did on Friday.

  8. Its seems to be a bug that happens on occasion. I have noticed, if I actually KILL the 'frenemy' then he doesn't turn. If I slowly damage him, he turns.
  9. The Defense from Energy Cloak does not get partially suppressed when you attack. Just thought I would let you know.
  10. To the build itself. Remember, spending lots of influence to get the '733t l00tz' is not always the answer. Will Power does not benefit from +recharge. It might be nice to have foot stomp up as much as possible, but in terms of reality, you either need a crap ton of +recharge to make it noticeably faster. Pick up [Mind Over Body] earlier, its helpful. Enhancement Diversification makes the extra recharge in Rage useless. Air Sup is a pretty decent power, and if you like/want it, its your prerogative. I would personally grab either Combat Jumping or Hasten.

    IOs for a WP should place +Defense in priority. First you want Smashing/Lethal Defense, then shoot for the other two, then +HP when you can't slot for defense.

    It's not the best build out there, but is something you can check out to see what you can fiddle with.
  11. I rather dislike that build. Just going to come out and say it.

    Also, double stacking rage will nullify the -Defense portion of the crash, but the -end and the -dam are still applied to the rage crash.

    1st for me

    It used to be 5, but I am pretty sure they increased it. I used to only be able to show Influence, Smashing defense, Fire defense, Energy Defense and Psi defense. Now I am able to pop regen and recov in there as well.

    It allows me to use Energy Drain as a heal, when I need it as a heal.
  16. I will say, I really see a use of Healing bonuses on my brute. I can easily refill both bars with Energy Drain with large mobs, and when I don't have lots of enemies around me, I have Aid Self to fall back on. The resists are only a little lower than Shield Defense's resists.

    All in all, it's not a bad set. The only thing that I can gripe about is it can get hit with a lot of defense debuffs, and your dead. Hence me saying all that is needed is Enhanceable DDR in the powers.
  17. Purples really won't help you. Try to softcap typed Defense, and then +HP. Don't bother trying to get +Regen bonuses, and DEFINITELY don't get resist bonuses.
  18. I can honestly say, the only thing I ever finding my self wishing for is enhanceable DDR. If the DDR was enhanceable, I believe I personally would find myself almost invincible. I don't mind the psi hole.

    This is my DB/EA brute. I wouldn't suggest an Energy/Energy, because they oddly enough don't mesh well. Energy Melee is mostly single target, and Energy Aura shines when it has large mobs around it.

  19. Its easier to get S/L and Energy/Negative defense by slotting attacks. I have a hard time finding Fire/Cold Defense bonuses besides taunt and resistance sets.
  20. I use Stimulate when fighting Riechsman, when a squishy gets stunned. Stimulate is nice, because it doesn't need slotting. Aid Other is rather crappy unslotted.

    Stay soft-capped. Pick up a Med Pack Temp power.
  21. Or 3 Aegis for Fire/Cold defense. Also 3 Titanium Coatings will give you some extra HP. (pseudo resist_All)
  22. The simple answer is, it depends.

    How much you get out of an alpha slot relies on how many powers, and how much it's slotted. For the defense portion, it will give you an SO of defense for each defensive power and get EDed. If you are EDed already, it might give you something like 1-2% enhance. Which, if it gives, let's say 12% defense, that 1% extra will be something like .12% extra defense from the power itself (not a whole lot). THEN it will give you the unEDed portion, which for defense, would be an extra 5% defense buff to each defense power. So if its at 99%, you would see it get somewhere in the range of 105%.

    This is all theoretical, and I could be wrong, but that is how I understand it at this time. Think of it as extra enhancements in each slot. It's not a Global Bonus, like IOs are. It applies to each power that can be slotted.
