I've RPed a telepath for the better part of the last year, and only attempted mind-tricks on PCs 3 times.
One time was unsuccessful.
Another time, it was pre-planned that everyone else involved for a gathering agreed to be mindwiped of my telepaths presence at a gathering. Granted my conditions for showing up where that I would only show if everyone agreed to be mindwiped of the memories of my character being there, but still.
And the last time was a little thing to get toon A to ask toon B to step out of earshot for all of 2 minutes.
All I ever really use telepathy for is to contact people psychically, pretty much. And even at that, I -always- send a tell checking mental defenses first. Run into too many ninjas and 10 year olds who could beat gods in a battle of wills in this game. Part of why I tweaked my one blind and mute character who "sees" psychically so that if someone is so uber fortified to any matters telepathic, they'll be invisible to her to the point that she'll ignore them. -
Haven't set foot in an AE mission in a while, couldn't tell you what it's like on the inside. But! Zone PuGs seems to be a lot more popular these days. So, as far as I am concerned, in that respect the AE farm nerfs worked. ^_^
I've seen and was in Sewer teams from the beginning of AE, but maybe I've been lucky catching them. -
If you can hold off until like 9:30PM, EST, I'll have a ill/rad troller to bring along.

You need to be a little creative, is all. Just don't be like the guy I ran into the other night, "xXx Mr. Mountain xXx" (not the real name, but it was just as basic) who had the gall to start bragging about how good he was at picking names. o.0
I was -shocked- a few weeks ago when I found out Dr. Star was available on Virtue. -
Quote:I hope you're right about the boss/liuet/exploit AE farms. Maybe now people will create and want to play AE missions that use more than 3 maps and 4 NPC types, and require at least some level of consciousness to complete.AE is dead. I really don't see it coming back to anything near what it was; its over. I saw much discussion of this in Broadcast last night, people could not beg hard enough to get anyone to join an AE team...
I've been in Mercy or doing things with my guild since I16 came out, so I haven't heard much of the Atlas/Steel/Cap broadcast the past few nights. -
Been that way the past few nights, at least from about 10PM EST to 1:30AM. Usually it's the other way around, or both are yellow. Did Freedom get an upgrade or is the CO thing finally showing?

One of my CHV characters will be getting killed off for reelz soon, RP style, not just getting deleted (which I do all the time).
My tabletop RPG acharacters have a significantly shorter lifespan, however. Funny thing is that I've been -trying- to get my character in our current campaign killed, but the D&D 4.0 rules are making it difficult for him to convincingly fall in battle. -
Quote:It's not a bug. You haven't received your expected number of tailor tokens because they haven't been issued yet. (or the Devs hate you, your pick )
The tailor tokens are going to be issued after the server maintenance on Friday.
That'll work. Appreciate the clarification. -
-I love the new character creation format.
-Power coloring is awesome. Power tinting is tricky, especially trying to sync up the two.
-Haven't gotten my Claws/SR Brute werewolf past lvl...3? No real opinion yet there.
-Might do an Earth/Earth Dom for S's&G's.
-Scrappers finally have superheroey energy powers that I haven't leveled up to 36 before! Huzzah!
-Supersidekicking, I need to look into more. I love the concept, the timered wall of text that appears when you join a team, enter a mission with that same team, and leave a mission with that same team, jury's still out on. Why is it timered? Why does it pop up so much? I don't mind reading anything in game, hell, I -like- reading things in game, but the timer throws me off.
-And finally, haven't gotten to look into it much yet, but is there a bug (and word on a fix if so) with the tailor tokens that were supposed to be issued according to the number of costumes you have?
And then go back in once they hit lvl 50 for reason I don't even want to think about, but anyway, agreed. -
Agonus (aka Aggie) is my main character. I was trying to come up with a Name to Run Away From similar to what DC seems so fond of, like Sinestro, Despero, and Atrocitus. I left the name as gibberish for the longest time, until some googling revealed it does have legitimate meanings.
I change forum handles often, but I'm currently trying to stick to Agonus or The New Black if spaces can be used. (Not_this_stuff_either.) The New Black is my global, and is more of a nod to a Strapping Young Lad song than a fashion comment. -

Quote:Good RP in a PVP zone? Here?! You should lay off the wacky weed, man.I miss them too. ... and nobody ever seems to believe me that they existed. 'No, really, guys, I used to go to Siren's Call every day and a good half of the people fighting there were doing so in-character! I have logs of my character having a ten minute fistfight with a guy who was flirting with her!'
What, was this like the first day the zones were opened or the day after I13 when a bunch of the l33t PVPers left?. =-p -

Quote:Vahzilok do lurk around the tailor in Cap. Fitting though since the Facemaker works out of the place.A thought just occurred to me, in Paragon City you can see civilians getting mugged in the streets in broad daylight, sacrificed to CoT rituals outdoors and attempts at being harvested for vahzilok body parts. All out in the open and most of the time in broad daylight.
In the Isles, I've never seen a single mugging, vahzilok harvest or CoT sacrifice being performed outdoors in broad daylight. Civilains in the Isles are safer than Civilains in Paragon.
Ironic that the City of Villains is a safer place for civilains than the City Of Heroes. -
Its been getting worse for a few months now. Double XP Weekend was killer in a few stretches, and on some random weeknights EST I can barely more anywhere. And we've triple checked all the connections here, to the point that we think something is up with Atlantic Broadband, but they insist its our router. Even the brand new one that we just installed. >.<

Ah, boredom at work, I know it well. Not well enough to venture into the Rookery, but still. Damn people need to take out more loans! Make my day go faster!

Full background information is up for my namesake Agonus, aka "Aggie."

What about switching the SS animations on the Thugs Bruiser? >.>
The Axehandle animation for KOB is all sorts of nifty. -
Heh. This thread is still going?
Quote:I'm the only one that ever answered any of our build help threads, and I try to avoid number crunching in the middle of playing the game. =-p...you could've asked Binju or I, Aggie
Also: You need to get Eiko to put the base empowerment station in. It grants +20% recharge, and lets you get Permadom 0.5 with only 55% recharge and three slotted hasten.
Do we still need the base thingy your talking about though? -
Nope.
And with I16, GR, DCUO and SWTOR on the horizon, doesn't look like I ever will either. -

Quote:I'm one to talk, I guess. Still stuck on Whedonspeak IRL after so many DVD viewings. >.>I do that. Not excessively, but like I said earlier, in an effort to make a point of emphasis. I'm rarely ever serious.
...
But I completely blame my actual DOING of all this on Machina Shard (aka Tech Flame). That bastige would always do that crap over TeamSpeak and it rubbed off on me! *diffuses responsibility* *runs* -
Quote:Sorry you feel that way, but as far as I can tell, you joined right after our peak activity. Just my humble two cents on the matter, but a bit of patience goes a long way in finding a good RP SG. The Supreme Society is the most active Monday through Thursday. Tonight's meeting, for example, will be the next part of major plotline we're in the middle of. Weekends are usually sort of spotty for us unless something has been planned out ahead of time, which -does- happen, by the way.Yeah I think I am taking the first step out the door at this point....
I joined the Supreme Society and I appreciate them taking me in but...I have yet to see more than one person other than myself ever logged on at one time. I don't know if it is a time zone difference or what have you but I guess it just isn't working out.
This game has become to stagnent for me in terms of content to keep me around and RP was really my last chance. But it seems that I can not find a RP group that has similar time zones with me. I16 really doesn't appeal to me all that much and I am really not looking forward to it, so I think that I will be driven to canceling my account. I think I might come back for Going Rogue but I really don't know. I might just give up on MMOs all together now....
I am not sure yet and I am still going to look but as stands I think this is the begining of the end of my three year experience. -
People still use l33t as a standard?! Most people I know only use it sparingly and pretty much always jokingly, like lolcat speak. Broadcast spam is an entirely different beast that I don't want to think about. Lots of people must have been touched in naughty places by their English teachers...
Then again, I did know a guy that said things like "el oh el" and "oh em ef gee" in RL conversation. -
My characters are about 60% male, 40% female.
As for the overall game, I'd say it's 75% male, 24% computer programs designed to claim to be female, and at least 1 collective of hyper intelligent cats.
