I *love* Torrent on my Defender. Now, I can understand how people don't like KB with their main damage powers, but a Defender's Torrent is all about crowd control.

I lead off against Cimerorans with Torrent because it knocks down even Bosses and they don't get a chance to spam their team mez protections, making other mezzes useful.

I Torrent the spawn away from Lambda crates then immobilize them. Now they can't use their heavy hitting melee attacks against melee-ers using their heavy hitting melee attacks on the crates.

In the Dilemma Diabolique, during the Sentinel battle, I Torrent the Sentinel ambushes right into the Sentinel so they can be AoE'd to death rather than sniping us from the sides. (An example where KB *increases* damage done rather than decreases it.)

Since D3 is full of cones, a Torrent cone fits in perfectly.

Now, how that works on a Blaster... I don't know. But if you don't like the KB... well, there's an IO coming that will make it KD.

Hmmm... So, as far as forum PvP goes, he used the equivalent of Self Destruction.
  3. Watch out! He's got a gun!

    No, not the robot.
  4. What's all this I hear about removing facepainting? Don't you know all the little children that go to fairs and parks love facepainting? If it weren't for facepainting, where would we get such heartwarming antics like a little boy facepainted as a zombie telling he likes turtles! C'mon! Think of the children!
  5. It has always been there. You have recently reached a level a spiritual evolution to perceive it. Wait for further instructions.

    Boom.
Catalytic is not going to be happy about that.

Catalysis, noun - the process of speeding up or causing a reaction, accent on second syllable

Catalyst, noun - the thing causing the reaction, accent on first syllable

Catalyze (catalyzing, catalyzed), verb - to cause catalysis to happen, accent on first syllable

Catalytic, adj. - pertaining to catalysis, accent on first syllable.
Say no to: Catalytizing, catalystizing, catalyzation, and catalytization. They are not the right forms.

Now interestingly... no wait... I mean 'now inexplicably'... Cryptic would hire Community Managers for their new projects a full two years before launch. That's right, even during the time when *no information* was being released or published, and during the time they didn't have any press releases, news junkets, or online media, they actually hired and paid full time salaries to be Community Managers.

    So, three things Zwill:

    1. Are you going to CM that new project?

    2. Have they hired anyone to CM that new project?

    3. Can they hire me to CM a non-existent community for a full time salary for the next two years? I promise to work really, really hard managing the non-yet-existent community!
  9. Beastyle was the only one.

    Who admitted to it.
  10. Here's my dirty little secret for pet micromanaging... I don't. It's either all out aggressive or passive or, sometimes for strategy, Body Guard mode. Situational awareness, movement, and Team Teleport is the best pet control power, IMO.

Also, I let 'em die and resummon... no fretting over their 'death.'

Speed runs love my pets because they clean up the stragglers or rezzers for kill-alls while the Brutes forge ahead. Or, I'm sending pets to the next spawn ahead of the group.

    Lambda? I solo crates.

But I can see how people who don't like playing a defender don't like MMs. On my MMs, I feel like a Defender with my own team of death.

Oh, and the crazy agroing of pets trials with 'Bosses' is fixed in a patch on Beta. Coming 'soon' to Live.

That's to give you an option of not being stealthed. Some players wouldn't want to buy a premium movement power because of what it looks like and then find out they are permanently transparent.

    It's pay2RP.

That's not true. The Stealth power is *stealth* not *invisibility*.

You can toggle on 40 feet of Stealth (by means of a toggle in the Pop Up Tray) with the Panther Stealth Power. Minions have 45 feet of perception, and other foes, larger distances. So, if you get within 5 feet of any foe, you will indeed be seen. That is *not* invisibility. Invisibility powers begin a 55+ feet of stealth.

That said, Panther Stealth is indeed better than IO Stealth or SuperSpeed Stealth individually.

In fact the roads (The TCP/IP network stack.) were built with and for the predecessors of Linuxcar, therefore all the roads are compatible and always will be."

But to be fair to all the non-Linux geeks out there, how about this?

"Linuxcar, not for the feint of heart."
    K, how about this:

    Linuxcar: the best car ever!*

*Linuxcar owners must be trained professional Linuxcar mechanics to own and drive.

Heck, I see the addition of Knockdown to a power without Knockbacks as a bigger deal. Why? Because I might just go and throw it, say, in Caltrops.

And sit back and watch the hilarity.

But really, to me? The proc is just gravy. I don't have any plans to use it on my Plant/Storm controller to knock down Tornado's KB. Why? Because I took the set for the knockback, and I'm gonna damn well get it!

Might throw it in my Tanker's Laser Beam Eyes though.

This can't be emphasized enough: It will affect just one power of a character because it's unique, and only powers that do damage. So, Nemmie Staff and Whirlwind will still do KB.
  18. There's still more to come in Praetoria: Hamidon; the power vacuum; a lot of souls left uneaten and unused now that Diabolique and Cole (the avatar of Tartarus) are now gone; Praetorian furies and the X of Vengeance (there are 'Angels of Vengeance' seen in Night Ward). I can think of several ways a Praetorian Infernal can get involved as well as a whole host of Primal-Signature-NPCs' Praetorian counterparts.

In the second phase of the trial in which the court determined the appropriate amount of damages to be paid to Buchwald, Paramount testified that despite the movie's $288 million in ticket sales, it had spent so much money on the movie's development and marketing that, according to the formula specified in Buchwald's contract, Paramount had made "no net profit". The court then found that the formula was "unconscionable" and that Buchwald therefore could pursue a separate tort lawsuit against the company.
  21. This just in: Article tries to get traction by saying it has proof debunking something debunked decades ago.

Yeah, I was going to say that, too.

One could possibly say the same with Iron Man, but he's possibly more like a Blaster that's purpled-out to soft cap defense. Pay-to-win, indeed!
