  1. Yes, this is not a blaster only changed. All ranged blast sets will benefit from this change.

Actually the way he said it was unclear, I'd wait for text confirmation. Because it SOUNDS like he said the T4 would require 1 power pick and the T5 would require 2, which falls in line with the travel pool changes. It's just he said '1 or 2' in there and it's unclear if he meant 1 or 2 powers or T1/T2.

  4. Oh neat Honestly I hadn't read the Presence changes and only got 20 minutes into the coffee talk before going to lunch.

but a rez/survival buff, niiice. I can't wait to see the other changes.

And it wasn't quite confirmed but with the 5th power being added how is the power selection changing? Is it going to be like the travel pools where you have access to the T1 - T3 from the get go, the T4 requires 1 prior pick and the T5 requires 2? Or will it be different?
  5. Well I think they also have more flexibility when it comes to changing pools than they do power sets.

  7. Nope, they said they'd be revealing more as time went on. But there's only concealmeant, leadership and medicine left as it is

But the power was trash anyway. *shrug* The new Blaster secondaries are already half-violating the cottage rule anyway. I don't see any reason why this change shouldn't be made.
Mmm no, adding functionality to a power while not removing any of its original functionality isn't even close.

Plus, who really cares? The devs are allowed to do as they please. They follow the cottage rule as they like but there's no set in stone rules that if they violate it they will be struck down and the seas will run red. it's simply a reason why they don't change a lot of powers willy nilly but in the case of something that's truly bad and no one takes it, it's completely warranted.

See this thread, it includes the changes. Basically, Fighting is adding a new T5 power and Boxing, Kick and the T5 will all benefit from -owning- each other.

Presence is having the single target taunt turned into a placate.
  10. Also new pool powers and crashless nukes and SQUEE and we still don't know anything about the NEW content in the issue. 24 sounds like it's going to be really scary awesome.

It.. is though? It's turning the power into the exact opposite. it's like taking a blast power and turning it into a heal.

But honestly, the fact they're changing it probably speaks to how few people took it. It wouldn't surprise me if it was less than one percent of one percent of the player populace.
  12. Not the most ideal, but I'm hardly a min/maxer. But you can also take the easy route and slot up the Recharge Intensive Pet IO sets in those that'll take them. Expedient Reinforcements has some nice set bonuses and the 10% resist proc can help improve a pet's survivability, especially those pets with already decent resists.

It's not exactly, but then I don't think it would be all that much to say "Oh and you can now tint pool powers or turn off their graphics' etc. Heck Zwillinger could tell us that. There's not really a lot to customization unless they did alternate animations for all of them, which is doubtful.

And it was teased they're adding 5th powers to more pools, so that's probably why it's Synapse doing it as that'll be more involved and along his expertise.
  14. Yeah, it's meant to be the most difficult trial.

and.. honestly. It's main purpose is the Advanced iXP. If you want better rewards, do a TPN or MoDD, lots of guaranteed goodies. The only people really missing out are badgers.

  16. Best is pretty subjective. What do you consider best? DPS? Survivability? Fun factor?

    I sure wish...

    Bug. Waiting on fix.
  19. Do none of you remember? Mermaid Man. Show some respect.
  20. There was an update patch too, should be patch notes coming along any time now >> I expect just some minor bug fixes, likely blockbuster event stuff
  21. Don't you only hear the sound if you're near the fellow? I've hung about in the D plenty of times and don't hear him unless I'm in his corner. So, couldn't you just... not go near him?
  22. Normal power pools don't really offer much, think of most of them as more utility powers to round you out, or the travel powers.

As a scrapper you won't see ranged attacks until your epic power pools, which, as was stated, open up at 35.
