Hmmmm interesting, well that is good still worried I wont be able to deal with redraw, I need to find a good blaster only one I have not tried yet is rad or psi, energy was my fav but you cannot attack in a fast paced manner to much pacing so you can kb enemys to walls.

I am having a rough time finding an alt, and I am not ready to roll a warshade quite yet, wanted to get a few toons to 50 first, so I was wondering what else you guys play and find just as much fun to play, I think I want something versatile but more personal damage then pet damage, and a much better attack chain.

And how is dark paired with radiation? I really enjoy the dark playstyle, but do not enjoy most of of the dark blast set as the damage seems slow, although I will miss the holds but then again already playing an ill/rad controller as my main they feel quite similar.

I am not trying to argue but I do not think you guys where understanding what I was trying to ask you, I was looking for a certain playstyle, not an opinion of a playstyle I never asked what do you think I should play? I asked what kind of combinations offers this kind of playstyle, that is a fact, a dominator has a form of defense and has to think quickly and react while able to use attacks similar to a blaster that is not an opinion at all they are just helping me be aware that is the closest thing I was looking for.

If I would of asked you, what kind of defender has a variety of tools, then someone would of probably said dark/dark/dark which is true that is a fact they offer many tools, I asked for a specific playstyle, and people replied with mostly the dominator and just by looking at it, I can tell it is true. If I asked what blaster has the highest damage people are going to say fire, because fire really does.

Therefor I never asked for an opinion, I asked based on peoples experiences and that does not mean it will be biased, some will give there opinions, but since I was very specific I am pretty sure most will be spot on.

Anyways I was also considering dark/paired with something else, I have a dark/dark and I love the primary but I hated the blasts from the secondary, I only liked the tools in it like tentacles and such.

Well I am trying a kin/rad right now if I do not like it I might try the rad/mm route, arch/energy hmmm, it is not really the bow it is more of the fact I cannot make a good archer costume for the life of me, and I was not to impressed with the visuals but maybe it gets much better, and I may learn to like it, never been a huge fan of the best top damage, I mostly want high damage and be ranged and fire always seems to be the most damaging although I think I might try it now we can change colors I am just not into the element of fire in itself, more of a water ice kind of guy, but I really do not enjoy ice visuals from the blaster in this game, but I highly enjoy the ice visuals on other ats.

Forgot to mention the redraw annoys me shudders, but maybe they reduced it since a few years ago when I played, I did try a ta/a defender hated it though, to use to rad and dark for debuffs.

Thanks allot for all the suggestions, lots of them, I took a look at dominators and I agree it looks like what I am looking for, and I did not ask for an opinion guys what I asked for is what ats have that playstyle that I described that is not an opinion if that playstyle exists within that power combination then that is what it is.

I am iffy about storm, it looks visually appealing sure, but I am not a fan of knockback users, I tried energy/energy for a while loved the visuals but in the end, hated playing it on teams, but I never made it to level 22 I think it was like 18 or so. Sure I can control the kb but it was annoying since I was a blaster and enjoy constantly blasting, there where way to many pauses now pauses to change tactics is great I love that but to constantly move around to shoot some baddies while everyone else is blasting from the same position the whole time is annoying, and even with hover it was boring, I prefer to actually see my blasts in front of me, but indoors you cant even see what your shooting at when you try the knockdown approach.


I will try some of these suggestions.

Wow how the hek did you manage to make a transformer? And most of these are great looks like some parts are from the orgin pack, thanks allot all you really give me a better idea how I can mix and match.

That actually makes no sense, I didnt ask for an opinion just others experience in what I was looking for, I was very specific and not asking what I should play, I asked what ats fit this kind of playstyle, and yes I understand all that and mids does not help me anymore as far as finding the right playstyle all it does is help you plan a build thats it.

My character can shift cosmic energy through his suit and no its not energy blast either, anyways all the stuff I seen so far just looks to robotic the closest thing I made was the enforcer suit, I have tried mix and matching and just cannot seem to come up with anything I really should get those orgin packs soon anyways thanks all.

aoe damage is fine with me, I wanted something as diverse but doing my own damage instead sure it doesnt have controls but thats fine. Going to give it a try, I enjoyed kin/sonic allot but couldnt get into the visuals of sonic and it lacked umph.

Actually I am waiting until I atleast have one 50 before I do that I hear once you try one all other ats are boring compared to them, I was taking a look at my kin/rad it looks very appealing and it seems diverse on paper but with more damage in teams, just might be what I am looking for.

It looks very fun on paper, I want something diverse with more damage then my ill/rad and this just sounds like a very fun build, what is your experience with it?

I know I have posted quite a few times and perhaps to much, and I am finally learning to rely better on myself then the forums, this game is more complicated then what I am use to, in most mmorpgs you pick a class and costumize in one or 2 areas and it was more simplified, this game has such a wide range of costumization that it probably has the most depth I have ever seen in a mmorpg before.

So id thought id try to explain better what I am looking for, and I thank everyone for there patience and understanding with my posts in the past week.

I enjoy fast paced thinking characters, I enjoy the ability to change tactics when I need to for teams espically, I enjoy fast paced attacks, I would have enjoyed an energy blaster for example if I could have attacked more consistently instead of having to run to the mob and then behind it and shooting it into a wall in teams.

I do enjoy a thrill but I do not enjoy how much I died on certain blaster ats, I enjoy being versatile like my ill/rad controller my only real issues with him is that his personal attacks are well boring even with air supperiority, I apologize if I misspelled that. I enjoy range most of the time some melee will be alright, I enjoy the melee better on my ill/rad since flash he has to be in the middle of mobs so its kind of thrilling.

Straight melee types I am iffy about never stuck with them in other games although this game is so different then your usual fantasy mmo I might enjoy it a bit more.

And one final note, I want something visually appealing, doesnt have to be super flashy but just visually appealing. If you guys want anymore details ask me and I will tell you, I cannot think of anything else to say except thank you all for reading my post.

What is this server wide channel for looking for team you guys are talking about there is only the looking for task force server channel and the virtue server channel the others are not lft from what I have seen and hardly any of them have any kind of lft spam.

There has been a defender buff? Interesting I havent played them in a long time plus never played with fire or ice and etc, only dark/dark but that was before these buffs.

I am interested in it but I really wanted a good mix of attacks and pets doing stuff, I have an ill/rad as my main and mostly he has pet stuff.

I might get going rogue tomorrow and having a really hard time deciding on an alt, I love my ill/rad controller but I wanted something with more damage, and I do not enjoy being on the villians side its not my thing, but I really wanted something pure ranged, I have tried multiple blasters and I just cannot get into them, I would of loved energy if it didnt have annoying kb in teams, but even then I cannot see myself playing a straight damage type.

No defenders truly appeal to me dark/dark was great fun but in the end, the dot damage is not my thing I love fast paced thinking characters, I am not really into certain elements like ele or fire but I am willing to give fire/dark a shot, not sure what else. I was very dissapointed with archery, I really wanted a trick arrow character but defenders lack way to much damage as far as archery goes.

The visuals of sonic is not appealing to me at all.

I have one great costume so far been trying to make a good archer but for some reason I just cannot seem to make a good one, I do not have gr yet or orgin packs, cant wait till I get ninja run. Anyways I am a very creative person more so with stories then costumes but I still should be doing allot better then this, so if anyone has some suggestions on the archer please let me know! Please I am having problems slotting and such, we can choose more powers and I wanted to turn it into more of an offender type, the guides are good but its mostly for ta not much on archery on defender side.

I do not have allot into inventions yet I am working on it but mostly I just want to try this character out for now, so I really could use some kind of build idea.

So far couldnt get into claws or ma, was thinking maybe katanna or dual blades.

Then I have a 27 dark/dark and not into it, its ok but not all that fun for me due to having dot damage, never been a fan of dots not sure why.
