Any suggestions what to play next?
Mind/Fire dominators seem all the rage currently.
Yea I wont play red side honestly its not my thing, besides id rather wait to try the new content once I get going rogue, so I really want a hero.

try a Fire/Electric melee tank - I have mine to 15 after one day! The new Stamina at lower levels lets you be a powerhouse!
Try The MFing Warshade!
Perfectly honest here, my warshade is hands down the most fun character I have ever played. Most fun to level up, most enjoyable to play on teams, and the most on the edge, adrenaline packed experience I have ever had in this game. I invite you to read through my guide, as it explains the leveling up process well.

The only thing is that your stupefying damage really hits once you get your APPs. If you have Mids, just take a quick glance there and you will be wowed
If you're totally opposed to this, another ranged attack style class is a Controller (kinetics especially), but once again your AOE is going to be fairly meek until you hit the APPs and can use them with containment.
Since it seems like the OP likes to be a jack-of-all-trades, shifting tactics to suit the situation, I'll make thee suggestions:
1) Peacebringer: you can Blast/Melee Scrap/Tank/Heal/Control based on the situation. The only thing you can't do too well is debuff, but you still get a few debuffs attached to other powers.
2) Warshade: similarly to the Peacebringer, except without the team heals, but more self-buffage.
3) Plant/Storm Controller. Gives you plenty of tools for any situation.

I'm thinking mastermind made in Praetoria once he gets Going Rogue and taken blue at 20. Never has to deal with the villain stuff, he can get the ranged dps he likes from Bots or Mercs or Thugs, and the jack of all trades thing from the secondary. Like traps, or dark, or storm.
Bots/Traps is a very fun toon to play, as well as Thug/dark.
All of the above sounds good.
Since you like to help the team then trollers/Defenders might be for you
I strongly suggest a Cold/Ice defender - lots of good powers to help the team that let you blast alot, once you get your sleet/ice storm combo not to mention Blizzard its a blast. You wont have a problem getting on a high level TF either.
2 for when you get GR
Some others crab spiders - Lots of mix of powers to help the team great ranged aoe damage
Electric control is really fun can really help out a team
Freedom Server - Main = Lil Bug & way too many alts to list
Yes I know the warshade would be for me, I love the idea of switching between a tanking form and blasting form and etc as the team needs, but my main issue with is, it sounds like to much fun, I do not want to end up only playing the at, I am worried it will ruin the others for me including my ill/rad controller. I wished I couldnt unlock it until level 50.
I want to try something with more damage this time so ice is out of the question really not into the ice powers in this game, the plant/storm idea sounds interesting, maybe I can make a druid concept but its probably over done.
You are fortunately and unfortunately coming from a character that is, like you said, good at filling in a lot of holes on a team. Most high-damage archetypes don't do that very well, but there are exceptions.
I know you said you were not into ice, but for blasters, a very jack-of-all-trades combination is Ice/Elec. Your primary gives you 3 single target attacks, the third of which (Bitter Ice Blast) is a knockout. You get two ranged holds, leaving you capable of holding a boss, or half a mob while solo. Frost Breath and Ice Storm are pretty good AoEs, and Blizzard is a mob dropper (so long as you have it slotted correctly). Then your secondary gives you great melee capabilities (for blapping), a fantastic spammable single target immobilization, Power Sink (which, after popping a blue inspiration, completely nullifies the Endurance crash of Blizzard), and finally a single target melee hold. Essentially you can pump out the damage from melee or range, and have some control ability. If you prefer to match powersets, Ice/Ice lacks melee power, but you get more control ability (which I prefer to melee attacking anyway, at least on a Blaster).
Scrappers are even harder, but if you are set on a high damage archetype that can provide something other than damage, perhaps give /Dark Armor a shot. You get some fear and disorient powers, as well as stackable -to hit abilities.
In reality, you can't get more "jack-of-all-trades" than the Kheldians, so give them a look, though I strongly suggest doing some research first (unless you like doing 5+ respecs in a characters career out of necessity). Also, once you get Going Rogue, Dominators are a great archetype for doing multiple things well, and you can make a heroic one via Praetoria.
Hope you find something you like!
@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.

Plenty of times I'll feel like being a tank. When that happens, I play my tank. Likewise with anything I play. I don't say "I want to be a tank" then just shift into dwarf and stay there. A warshade is less "shift as the situation needs" and more "all forms at all times" because they all work together. A warshade can make for a good tank in a pinch, but if what you need is a tank, get a tank. If you want to be the all offense glass cannon of a blaster, get a blaster. If you want a fast moving, self sufficient, crowd controlling, heavily armored weapons platform that might even be putting out as much damage as a blaster, THEN you get a warshade.

Hmmm. well I am actually trying the claws again been years and he is 17 so maybe I will really enjoy it, I also am looking for something visually appealing and ice just does not look appealing to me in this game, the animations are to fast, sure minmaxing thats great but visually poor for me, I want ice lances, I want to throw multiple shards at once, and I want explosive looking ice.
I really wish I had going rogue kinetic melee looks like so much fun to play. Anyways I would really like more suggestions, just fyi it doesnt have to be extremly versatile just something less straight foward.
I am going to give this old blaster a try again the ice/ele, couldnt get into it much back then but maybe more so now, how is it in pvp? I kind of wanted a pure ranged character but like I said it might be what I am looking for thanks everyone for all the suggestions.
A little update, at level 16 I am not enjoying the ice/ele so far hardly any migitation to my suprise I do not think I enjoy blasters anymore after palying my ill/rad controller.
Roll a Dark Defender. Awesome fun and does a little of everything.
Roll a Fire/Dark Corr in Prae and go blue at lvl 20.
Roll Cold/ Def. Ice is decent on defenders due to the rains, or go /Rad or /Psi if you want some potential fun slotting later on. Cold/Son is also a heavy hitter.
I have a 75 month vet badge so now I make alts with specific things in mind. For example, lets say I want to be a big game hunter (hunt GM's for dun), then traps/sonic, rad/son, or Cold/Son defenders or perhaps their corr counterparts come to mind.
I want to become an RWZ specialist as another example. Well FF or Sonic def may be good for the dispersion bubble mez protect (forget what they call it with sonic).
Of course, my scrappers are great for everything, which is why I have so many varieties of them, but I think it is good to plan if you want to build for high lvl tfs, ritki raids, hami raids, etc... Some folks like to specialize in mid range tfs, so I might give very different recommendations.
My personal recommendation however is to create a Cold def. At low lvls, it will be challenging at times, but late game, you will get more tf invites then you know what to do with.
Good luck
So far couldnt get into claws or ma, was thinking maybe katanna or dual blades.
Then I have a 27 dark/dark and not into it, its ok but not all that fun for me due to having dot damage, never been a fan of dots not sure why.
I love my ill/rad controller for the variety and the ability to turn the tide of the fight, its amazing what I can do in a short amount of time and save peeps, I love the fact I can use differant tactics depending on the situation, I can kind of fill the mini holes the group needs to be filled.
Now I am looking for another at, I have tried scrappers and blasters because I wanted to try something with a little more damage, and so far to be honest I do not think there for me, for one thing I always prefered ranged over melee, just thought it might be differant in cox, I like martial arts big hits but it just doesnt feel fun to me, I have tried katana before and its fun but it felt lacking, never tried claws very far, didnt like dm, dual blades was ok, and want to try kinetic but cannot yet since I do not have going rogue, never tried fire or ele either.
Blasters tried out just about all of them, highest have been ele/ele and nrg/nrg liked energy out of them all, but some i did not get very far, it has to hold my interest fairly early not to early for me to keep going, oh and I havent tried dp obviously without going rogue yet, and have not tried radiation just didnt look interesting.
So I think I am learning more and more that maybe scrappers and blasters are not for me, any at and power combination suggestions for something with more damage but still versatile?
