With them shutting the doors, is there n oone moderating the forums? I got goos suggestions about other games from this site awhile ago before they started cracking down on such discussions.
-
Does this news mean the moderators are gone so now we can talk about other games?

Glowie hands and feet from hasten and super speed.
Dang. Was really looking forward to pool customization. -
-
If true, that would make good business sense.
-
Very. very clever. I am sure this is just a Nemisis plot.

Got acouple of lowbies that will be doorsitting in AE trying to make it to 50.

Too bad we don't have pitchforks also. Then we could storm NCsoft!
-
My vote goes for SyrusB. I like that style
-
Now I can't get that song out of my head.

Always thought this would make a nice offline game. Too bad they probably won't have that much time to make it a reality.
-
This sure feels like a coming storm

I was curious to see Bio Armor in action live as well.

Came here right after launch a couple of months before Issue 1. This was time well spent.
-
Scene opens up in Altas Park with a hero named "Pyropharm3r" yelling out "Fire cave farm. 300 per run." Then after no response. "150m per run?" "10m per run?" Then after some silence over the skies you will see in big lettes "GDAYMate2010.com powerleveling services 1 to 50 plus 1 billion influence in 4 hours" Then Pyropharm3r looks around and calls out "Looking for DFB blueside."
Aaaand that's how it ends. [fade to black] -
When I woke up this morning I had plans of writing a post of suggestions for what should be done for halloween 2012. Well, given the news today, scratch that idea.
I have played this game religiosly since before Issue 1, and yet there are a great many things I have not done. So I heard the date of our death is November 30th, here is my bucket list:
1) Solo an AV (I have a large stable of heroes but never got around to trying this)
2) Do the RWZ scrapper challenge (or whatever it is called - see details in the scrapper forum)
3) Do an all melee ITF again (that was fun)
4) Do an all controller and an all MM ITF (heard that was fun)
5) Get my plant dom to lvl 33 to play with all her powers
6) Get my grav controller to 33 to play with all HER powers
7) Make a Ill/Rad and see for myself if they are all that
I am sure I will think of other things to add once I log in.
What makes your bucket list? -
The best sapper type character i had made was a elect/energy blaster with super speed. 1) run into the mob with super speed hitting POWER BOOST
2) fire off SHORT CIRCUIT
3) then throw out BALL LIGHTNING for your -end -recovery
4) open up a 6-pack of whoop-*ss
I was consistantly running ahead of tanks into mobs and sapping them before the team showed up.
I do have a elect/elect dom but as others have said in this thread, you tend to rely other controls in addition to sapping.
Hope that helps -
D'OH!!! Took for granted that my new account would have access to AE. Dumb ***umption on my part. Thanks for the suggestions but may rethink this whole second account idea and just pay occasionally to PL a new character to the 20's. Again thanks though.
-
After we get through the obligatory power-leveling is bad rants, what is a good AT/power set combo build for a second account power-leveler character.
I am tired of running DFB to skip the dreaded (my opinion) teen levels to get a character on my main account to level 22/27 (where I usually IO characters). So I was thinking of creating a second account and building a power-leveler to get lowbies into their 20's.
Given that this character is only going to get SO's and not a lot of time will be invested in him, I just want a basic/decent PL'er.
First thoughts were brutes and a claws/elect I read about. Any other suggestions?
Thanks. -
I go through altitis moods whereby I will find myself liking my controllers and corruptors and playing them mostly then go to my dominators and MMs for awhile then move on to my scrappers/brutes/stalkers. I am in my melee phase right now and am put-off by chasing defense.
I have a claws/SR scrapper, a spines/sr scrapper, and a stone/shield brute all soft-capped. They allow me to set the pace of the team I play in by absorbing the alphas and going crazy on the damage. These characters were made 6 months ago or longer. My problem lately is that my latest creations, claws/regen scrapper (lvl 31) and TW/elect brute (lvl 24ish) arent as survivable as my defense based characters and it will take a large investment and time commitment to build up their defenses to get them to be good enough for the style of play I like.
I team mostly and only do PvE and no incarnate stuff.
My questions are:
1) Are there other alternative melee sets/secondaries that will give me the same playstyle as my soft-capped-charaters?
2) Is the chase for soft-cap/high defense unavoidable no matter what combo I play? -
There probably is an obvious answer to this simple question, but my brain isn't fully functioning this morning.
An example of my question is this: Say I get 3% overall (positional) defense from manuevers from the leadership pool. Then I slot 4 kinectic combats in a melee power for 3.75% smashing/lethal defense.
Do I now have 6.75% (3 + 3.75) defense from smashing/lethal and 3% defense for everything else? Or just 3.75% to lethal and 3% to everything else?
I want to say I have the 6.75%, but would like confirmation on this please.
Thanks -
Tried both maps mentioned in this thread. Thank you both for sharing this information. I played a couple hours the last several days and am lvl 30 with my brand new ss/fa. As someone mentioned earlier, this farming thing is like a mini-game.
Since i don't have the patience for playing the market or the time o running tips for merits, farming is a good way to supplement my income so that I can afford IO's for my alts.
Again, thanks for sharing. -
They had to say they had been working on it for a year to avoid paying me royalties. (and yes i was being flipant)
