Ok, I just completed moving over an 50 Electric/Emp Defender from hero all the way to Villain then I parked him for a day or to so I could treat my alt-itis some. I log him back on and check how long the countdown is on the Badge/[Countdown to Frenzy]Power and it shows 8 1/2 YEARS!!!!
Yes 3165 days!
This seems a bit excessive. I mean, I know Devs hate Villains , but come on...
I bugged this in game but thought I would advertise here so that others can check/bug there's if needed. -
I've been getting that same problem in Firefox as well. I have only seen it do it when I have COH running also though. I'll have to try out some other games and see if it's not just a COH problem.
-
Other than the occasional spot or two the only real flicker I get is when dragging the scroll bar on the badge listing(Nav Bar). It is really bad though whenever I scroll the badges even just slightly.

Quote:Hmmm... seems I've opened a small can of worms. The EU version pack serial code should be able to normally apply to your NA account and give you all the benefits properly.
Well, because it was only $7 and I figured I'd be able to get it back from NCsoft ( a man can have hopes and dreams can't he?) I used SinergyX's much appreciated link and applied that pack to my account. It worked fine. Thanks for the help on this guys. I do hope they fix it to make it clearer which ones work for which and have links for all.

In short, item pack Going Rogue:
Europe - https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em&item_id=216
US - https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em;item_id=214
This is NOT working on Europe accounts, both only state my US account as only upgradable account.
Take Care -
The Store is back up! Yay!
*runs to buy the complete collection item pack
*only sees the EU version ......
I'm living in Italy but play on the US servers so I'm used to having to click the extra button to buy the booster packs but this time I don't see one(there is one for the whole digital complete collection). This leads me to 2 questions:
1. Is this a bug in the store? (I really don't expect the players to know this but this but I am really curious)
2. Will the EU GR item pack work with a US version of the Game?
With all the issues they have been having with the store I suspect it is just a bug or oversight but ya never know.
(and sorry if this is somewhere already. I never have gotten the hang of searching on these forums) -
Here are a few changes. I mostly moved around or changed enhancements. It dropped the positional defense overkill a bit while making some the individual powers a hair better (personal preferences) and raising a few other stats . I'm no defender expert, so whether it is better or not is up to you.
It's not in the build but I would also change the Regen tissue unique for the Miracle one. You gain about a 1/4 point of end a sec(pays for charged armor) while only losing 1 hp a sec.

Quote:First: If I wanted no diversity or indivituality I would play HALO (more than I do)or some game where everyone has the same powers and looks. All those reasons you listed as "Soap Box" issues are a huge percentage of the reasons that we have so many players in this game. Different is good for many people.
I said that I don't want to team with people who are so selfish they refuse to take and use team focused buffs on a team focused AT, and still expect people to welcome them on teams when they are being invited most likely because that AT has those awesome Team buffs.
It really has nothing to do with diversity, or equality, or individuality or freedom or any other soap box issue.
It has to do with demonstrating you are a team player.
I don't care if your Widow took FU over BU or vice versa, I don't care if you took smoke grenades because you think they are useful and fun.
But there is no reason other than stubborn selfishness or complete ignorance to skip TT: Maneuvers and Mind Link on a Widow.
Ignorant players can be educated, stubbornly selfish players who are basically thumbing their nose at reason because it's apparently fun to suck, are hopeless cases.
Third: Why is your reason for taking it any better than their reason for not taking it? (this question should be applied to any power not just these two)
For my part I see no downside to taking either of these two powers and would on any widow I made. This is a personal standard though and I can't and won't try to hold other people to it. It doesn't affect anyone negatively if the powers are not taken. It just doesn't make them any better. You do not lose defense by not taking TT: Maneuvers, you just don't gain it. You are no worse off that before you had the teamate.
Your style and mine obviously differ drastically and that's fine. The world will not end because of it but I don't think either of us will change the others mind so the conversation will end.
Take care, play hard, and good BOB ALMIGHTY will you people just have fun! -
Quote:Wait, we are playing a team oriented MMO that prides itself on character diversity and you don't see how excluding people who take advantage of that diversity (either willfully or ignorantly) from groups to satisfy your own idea of how the game should be played is selfish?I'm sorry but that's just not correct.
7 other people's desires outweigh the desires of 1. That's what a team is, that's cooperation.
1 person's desires being put forth at the expense of 7 others is selfishness.
I'm a bit stunned.
I understand that as a team you are working together towards a common goal. The thing is that the goal can be achieved in so many different ways in this game that, with very, very few exceptions, no power or powerset is required for anything. Unless you (non-specific you) set your own selfish rules as to how the people on the team appear/play/build in order to enhance your own fun (i.e. kill speed, reward gathering, etc..). -
Quote:We can all agree that to have fun playing any game you are a little selfish. You are doing what you want and having fun doing it(hopefully).Selfish: concerned chiefly or only with yourself and your advantage to the exclusion of others.
They are selfish in that they have chosen an AT that people invite to teams for their support aspects, and then they choose to not utilize those support aspects.
Play your toon how you want, build how you want.
Don't cry when you get kicked from teams because you thought it would be OK to ask 7 other people to pull your weight for you and they'd rather have some one who has a better team-mindset.
Selfishness is when you choose what you want, what you think is fun, over the benefit of the group.
My point was that if you take your definition of selfish and apply it to the posts you both made earlier in the thread you will see that the selfishness is flowing both ways. The difference is there most likely is no malice on their part. -
Quote:You have every right not to team with any person you don't want to but laying all the blame on them for it is just flat out wrong. If they have willingly and purposefully not taken those powers for whatever reasons, they have no place on my team.
Because I want team-minded, co-operative players on my team. Not selfish people who think it's OK to eschew team benefit for their own personal whims and expect others to pull extra weight for their poorly designed character.
Because that's what it boils down to.
If you're planning to team, plan your character's build accordingly.
YOU want them to build a toon YOUR way and play the toon how YOU want it and THEY are selfish?!
A person can be team-minded, co-operative, a help to the team, and escape the cookie cutter all at the same time. That is the beauty of almost all of the powerset combos we have. You don't have to be just like the guy next to you. -
Quote:Truthful answer: I don't know off the top of my head as I have never slotted it in a single target attack. Here's a question: what if you slotted it in a Single Target attack? Will it have the chance to proc on the single target or will it have a chance to proc for all targets affected by gauntlet?
Guess: No, as the attack only affects the single target and gauntlet is a separate mechanism added on to that attack*.
*This could be WAY off base though or just plain wrong. I can't get to anything but the forums at work so I can't check right now. -
It is a 20% chance to hit for each and every person in the area of your taunt everytime you "fire" the power. I have this in my Tankers taunt power and have seen it go off several times during 1 activation of the power.
Enjoy. -
If you're looking for damage I would definately go fire. I love my Rad/Rad but if I could fix 1 thing it would be to give him more damage(his attacks are already slotted for damage as is). He was rough at some levels to solo because of the lack of damage.
-
I feel the same as others here. My inv/SS is just plain fun to take out and fight large groups with. I won't take them all out with blazing speed but the satisfaction I get "slowly chewing through" mobs is almost unmatched on any other toon I have.
Quote:What I was trying to get as is that there are blasters, controllers, and defenders that solo GMs. That's something no tank will do, I think.
Does duo'ing Kraken with an almost attackless /Emp Defender teamate count as solo? It only took me 45 minutes to knock him down . -
I can't get to a computer with MIDs(or access to the website) right now so I'm not sure about the version number.
There was someone on yesterday or the day before that had almost the exact same problem. A program update fixed his issue. -
One of the recent updates had a lot of problems with the numbers. Make sure you have the newest version. It seems to work okay,....I think.
-
You have successfully built a Raging Volcano!
It's immobile, practically immune from harm, spews fire and rocks, and occasionally shakes the ground to knock you down.
I'm sure you could use it for things like invasions or mothership raids, where you don't have to move much, but if you team they are going to be constantly waiting for you to catch up.
A lot of teams won't like that, but to each his own. If you like it, play it! -
Quote:You Sir or Ma'am are a silly person!I will venture a completely uneducated guess and say 1,478,000,000. This is of course based on no experience, calculations, knowledge of marketeering, or asking the little green guy that lives in my closet(seriously dont ask him anything. He just throws socks at you. Thats right I keep socks in my closet!)
As for my guess,...1.21 Gigawatts,....errr Billion.
It is a reasonable number but I fear too low as the earning potential will raise daily depending on the sellers luck(read: buyers impatience) on the market. -
Quote:Well that makes me less than happy to hear. The potential build I was doing in MIDS made pretty good use of these two(er, 3 counting the "ignition" power) powers. I'll still make the toon but I am going to have to re-think my strategy a little bit. Still looks like it will be a fun toon though. It was partially fixed. Previously, after a slick had been lit on fire, the pets would never come back to that spot even long after the fire was out. For a Fire/TA, that meant that your Imps would not attack any foe standing in the are where an oil slick had burned.
It was later changed. Now the pets run away from the oil slick, but will come back after the burn has ended. Either it's a bug the Dev's can't fix, or it is working as intended. My guess is that it is NOW working as intended. -
Is the flaming oil slick/pet problem a bug or working as intended?

You can use 1 of each enhancement in EACH purple set per toon.
This means you can slot all of the Melee, PBAOE, Ranged, Confuse, Sleep, etc.. purple sets in one toon as long as you have the powers to slot them in.
Enjoy.

No on both questions unfortunately.
I usually go for the no trim look by putting small wall items(single cable or small half round vent) in places where I don't have big things taking away the trim. If you sink them most of the way into the floor or roof you can usually hide them pretty well.
