  1. Thanks to everyone that joined me last night, it was great fun.

I am enjoying the event, now I just need to try the different roles for the casino part.

I will probably be running the event throughout the week, so let me know if you want to join me... I know lots of people are running it, so just throwing that out there.

I also created this thread in case anyone wanted to share something specific about the event.

  2. From Chad's market listing post the details seem to be:

    Quote:
Defense Amplifier: 5% Defense and 7% Resistance buff to all damage and mez powers.

Offense Amplifier: 15% Damage, 10% To Hit and 15% Recharge.

Survival Amplifier: 15% Max HP, 20% Recovery and 40% Regen.
I don't know that I'll be buying any of them myself.

  4. Yeah, don't get me wrong, I understand it's because it's a toggle.

However, there are exceptions to the rule of not being able to use "temp" powers while in form. I believe you can still use [Return to Battle] while in form, it does not get greyed out.

And while I do understand that is not a toggle, it shows they have some kind of capability to have the Kheldian form ignore some powers when not allowing access to them.

I'm sure that overall it's working as intended because it's a toggle, and toggles are supposed to be deactivated when in in form, however, it's something that should either be disclosed or worked around.

It's not the end of the world, my PB is already at level 50+3 and has a good amount of influence. But the moment I want to level up another Kheldian, or a new player does, and they want to strictly use forms, it will seem like you get penalized for it.

Heck, maybe this is the tipping point that will open the door for devs to look at ALL toggles for Kheldians

Anyway, I brought it up on Facebook during Freedom Friday and Arbiter Warrant requested to have it posted here, so that's the main reason for the thread.
  5. Unless you have 13 reward tokens accrued from your previous playing (more info here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Paragon_Rewards_Program), then you do have to pay to unlock certain archetypes, and pay for extra slots.

Support cannot fix this, before the game went F2P you did not have access to anything unless you paid the monthly fee.

Now, you have access to some of it (a lot of it) without having to pay at all.
  6. The invention system is for a lot of different things.

You can do basic Invention Origin Enhancements (IOs) that are basically the same as Single Origin Enhancements with the exception that you do not out level them, they always provide the same amount of enhancement.

The sets are quite nice. Each set is different, the lower level sets are not necessarily 6-enhancement sets. So, there may be a full set that only has 3 enhancements.

As you slot more than 1 enhancement from the set into a power, you will receive a specific bonus for that set. These bonuses can be improved recovery, regen, recharge, defense, etc.

You can only slot 1 enhancement of the same set in a power. For example, you cannot slot 2 Accuracy/Damage of the same set, on the same attack.

This is also another difference, sets are usually made of enhancements that have an effect on more than one aspect.

As far as your questions, bonuses from sets will usually apply to your overall performance, but the attributes that the enhancement changes, will only apply to the slotted power. An Acc/Dam enhancement from a set only changes the Acc/Dam of that power.

When you say "level 50 invention enhancements", do you mean the purple ones? Because there many sets that drop in a wide range of levels.

Sets are separated in rarity, like salvage, there's very rare, rare, etc. The purple ones are the very rare ones, don't drop as often, and you have to be level 50 for them to drop.

However, other sets can drop at any time (considering rarity), and at different levels.

The invention system can also be used to make temp powers, costume pieces, etc.

Recipes can drop, be bought at the auction house, or difference merit vendors.

I think this kinda covers your questions, I would also recommend reading the wiki, I learned lots there.
  7. I am just posting this at the request of Arbiter Warrant on Facebook during today's Freedom Friday Q&A.

I believe I bugged this in-game, but I am not 100% sure at the moment.

The Leprechaun Power that offers an inf bonus detoggles and becomes unavailable to use when a Kheldian shifts into Nova or Dwarf form.

I do not believe this is working as intended since the power is not giving the player an advantage like many of the other unavailable powers when in Nova/Dwarf form, but it actually penalizes Kheldians for using Nova/Dwarf.

Of course, I could be wrong and this is working as intended, but I wanted to confirm it.

    Thank you in advance.

    Yes, for now.

It was a beta of the program.

  10. No, you cannot.

I briefly checked this, but I believe they already go to the max they can. I checked a set of Store Bought Enhancement (SBE) against a crafted enhancement (not boosted) slotted at the same level, and the SBEs values were slightly higher if I recall correctly (compensating for inability to boost maybe?).

By the way, attunned enhancements are different than SBEs. Attuned enhancements are the sets like Kheldian's Grace that can only be slotted by Kheldian's. SBEs are enhancements that are bought from the market but have counterparts that can be crafted in game.

EDIT: My apologies, the definition of attuned expands from the ATO enhancements, so SBEs can also be called attuned as their efficiency increases as you level. I just checked the wiki for this information.

I incorrectly assumed you were mixing up ATOs and SBEs.

Did you export the build and then import it into the Mids planner?

I know for a fact it works. I exported my Peacebringer build and made changed to it with the help of other forum members when I came back into the game not long ago.

No, that's not what I said.

You can contact support by going here: https://support.cityofheroes.com/

At this point it's probably not a problem with your account, but with your computer.

And with all due respect to PD, you should never give anyone your account information. I also don't think PD would want that responsibility, but I will not speak for others.

If you could provide us with your computer specs, and run the speed test as recommended, we can (maybe) give you more assistance.

If not, you can contact CoH support via the website. Free accounts do not get in-game support, but they do get support via the support site IIRC.
  14. Did you check PD's other suggestion? It could be your internet connection.

You should run a speed test (www.speedtest.net) and find out if that's the culprit.

It could also be your computer simply is not enough to run the game.

The question has too many possible answers without additional information regarding the situation.

I honestly think it depends on the situation.

If you're planning on exemp'ing a lot, then it is better to slot a lower level IO and then boost it. You get a nice middle point of efficiency and usability when you are exemp'ed.

If you are sticking with endgame content, then boost your higher level IOs.
  16. I usually alternate who I have on ignore.

One week is Voodoo, the other one is SHamster... I know my way around Victory, I know how it is.
  17. I ended up purchasing Beam Rifle with the discount. I'll put it to good use soon!

Nothing interesting this week... to me anyway.

Have plenty of boosters and unslotters from previous Super Packs, and I've never bought SBOs.

Purple sets are still to expensive for me to even consider buying them. Even the ones at 50% for 1000 PPs.
  18. Chad Gulzow-Man has a thread that is updated every Tuesday with the sales and new items.

I would recommend subscribing to the thread to keep track of it

    Thread: Complete Paragon Market Listing.
  19. Any chance the Isolators would take one more for the next run?

    Oh, yeah... I mean me.
  20. The beta for the pilot program is over.

They will evaluate the results and either change it and bring it back, bring it back, or scrap it.

    EDIT: More info HERE.
  21. Congratz everyone... I've never even done an LGTF!

    One of these days...
  22. I will sign up again with either my Ill/Rad or my PB (only +3s I have).

However, I need to sign up as a maybe. I still don't even know if I'll make it to the Hami raid.

But if I am online, I will help.
