I think it would be a bit more dramatic without any voice over. Start with a black screen and some text. Then jump into the action. As certain things need to be said, just fade to black and toss out a quick line of text then fast fade back into the action.

Well I can't think of a bad movie that Tom Hanks was the star in. Maybe I didn't like some as much as others but non where bad.

Whats with all the hate? This system whats not ment to allow you to trasfer inf from one of your toons to another. It was for you to sell an item to another player plain and simple.

Now I do hope they add some sort of bank so that I can give inf to my other toons but this current system was never supposed to be used in that way so I didn't expected it to be.

Im glad Statesman in shown in the video. I think it shows just how silly the whole anti-game side is.

I also hope it will make it very clear to developers that you should make the game you want. Sure you can spend loads of time trying to make the game as Politically Correct as you want but in the end all you have lost is the creative and fun parts of the game while the anti-gamers will still attack you anyway.

Make the games you want to play not the ones the government wants you to play.

I would like to just point out that I voted for costumes but this does not mean they are the thing that drives me. I personally think that with a few changes; Bases would surpass costumes as my favorite thing in CoH/CoV.

Right now the two factors that keep bases from being my favorite are the high cost of rent.(I think the cost for base items, and plots are fine) The second limiting factor is that due to the fact that you have to be in an SG and then hope the SG allows you to be the editor in order to even know how much fun the base editor can be. I'm very much hoping that player apartments become a reality in some way, shape or form. I have been very lucky in the fact that I get to edit my SG's base. It's really sad that so many people don't get the chance to do it. Even if player aparments don't have all the stuff that bases have it would still be a great bonus to the many creative people I know who just havn't gotten the chance to shine.

So for now Costumes are my favorite, but I look forward to bases/player housing to surpass costumes as my favorite someday.

As a side note. Please come up with some way to add player crafted costume parts. I think this would allow for truly unique characters, and if we can then trade the created items to each other then it could set up a true economy in the game. It would also give me a reason to put some long hours back into this game. I love this game and don't plan to go anywhere but I really love my 50 and don't want to make anymore new charaters. Craftable costumes would have me doing any and all missions I need to do to get the ingredients then set up my little shop and go nuts.

I think the biggest differences between costumes and base are as such.

-I can have up to five different costumes so allowing one to be for SG is not a huge hit to my own style. You only have one base.

-Each and every one of us is allowed to make our own costumes. Bases have to be built by a selet person or persons.

-I really don't see the bases them selves as costing too much, however the rent is getting to the point where we have to have people out farning prestige just to keep a positive gain. I think you can keep the prices of everything in the bases, but please take a look at the rent itself.

Lastly my suggestion is to allow a door in the base that operates as the dorms. Once you in the base you can go to the door and click on it. THen a list of all the SG members names pops up and if you click on that name you go to there room. Each person's room would be costumizable by that person. You could also consider allowing people to enter he room from the outside map and allow them to make the room open to the public.

Thus the importance of reading up on software before using it.

As Psygon stated, the purpose of driver cleaner is to WIPE OUT existing driver files so that older files aren't being used when you attempt to install new sets.

It's also why I stated specifically: "Now run Driver Cleaner and clean every instance of your video components that you see listed. If you are uncomfortable choosing, read the help files within the application to get comfortable." No where did I state to remove anything but components related to your video card.

However, you have raised a valuable point and if I am to ever revise this guide, I will make sure to make it more clear what should and should not be marked for cleansing.

As for Norton, I stand by my statement, although it is an opinion, it is one based on a decade of service in the tech industry. Norton AV and firewall solutions are bloated, issue causing garbage. McAfee isn't much better.

It's a great guide. I havnt done all the stuff you asaid to do yet but I have used your ATI guide and was able to bump up my graphics settings with no performance issues. However I did find one thing in the guide that I am unable to do.

If I could only describe in words how awsome it is to get someone in that position in real life.

I think my biggest problem with bases is that only a few people (leaders) can edit the base. Even then what one leader thinks is a good design might be a crappy one to another leader.

Two ideas that have run around on the forums for awhile now that may fix this are.

1:Player Apartments - Completely seprate from the SG bases. I can still be in my SG and contribute but maybe have my own apartment on the side.

2: SG Base member rooms - While the leaders keep control over the main base, each SG member has a room that they control the design of.


I love bases and would love to design and edit to my heart's content, but if your not a leader then that can't happen and you also have to take into consideration, everyone elses ideas.

Why do we move out of our parents house? Freedom. The freedom to come and go as we please. The free to put the posters and art that we want to have up on the walls. The same mentality that makes most of us leave our parents home is the same mentality that makes us ask for our own space in CoX.

Does that mean that we all have to go to perma Cuppa-clone mode?

Dont even need a knock back power. Meny items in the game react to your charater bumping into them. Just make the "BIG RED BALL" able to be knocked around just by coming into contact with a toon.

Soccer would be playable (Maybe the DEVs will make a soccer field.

A little harder to do but if they gave the ball a bit of angled knock up, we could play volley ball. (All bikini wearing toons report to Port Oaks)

Sigh mine was(is) too. And yet I have made countless other tcharaters gotten 3 heroes too 50 an a villain to 40 but that poor fire/fire has been sitting at 38 for ever, and I made her during the first day or so of CoH launch

Maybe once we can crossover i'll turn her into a villain so she can have revenge for lack of attention from her creator.

More specifically, Enhancements should only effect the things they are listed as effecting. Dual and Multi enhancements (such as Hami-O's) sometimes break that due to a flaw in our system. That flaw will be being closed in the not so distant future.

My SG has all three. But we have the arcane version of the super computer.

No cheats used. We just had a few members that can play long hours and work very hard. I'll post pictures when I can.
