The arena pet system is a neat idea. I am not quite sure what to do with it. Perhaps if there were some sort of wagering involved...idk. Or maybe useful rewards?

I got my new -rech incarnate power and wanted to test it, so I started hassling enraged miners till Scrapyard appeared. Then I started attacking him and then he just keeled over and "died" and the miners scattered.

This is not accurate. Obtaining enough stealth bonus (usually a stealth power and a stealth proc) can make it so no critters (minion up to boss) can see you without a perception buff. The OP was using enough stealth to not be noticed, but apparently Fury is what caused mobs to be notified of the OP's presence. My Defender and Scrapper have absolutely no issues standing in the middle of a spawn of critters, as long as none of them have perception buffs.

plus, if you stray too close to an enemy, you can sometimes be spotted as well.

You've done a good job sticking in def. But I am concerned about your attack chain.
What is your intended attack chain? I don't think you have the rech to use only Stone Fist, Heavy Mallet, and Seismic Smash.
Switching to Stone Fist and Gloom would help here some. Stone Fist has a higher dmg/animation than Stone Mallet too. -

Off the cuff, I would say redline HPT for teh HPs.
RttC may be better off with just a few golgis if you can use the slot elsewhere, the last few bonuses from Numis are not bad, but can be bested most likely.

I may be able to get you +rech and S/l def up there w/o two sets of Mocking beratement.
Though playing around with it later prob'ly lead to a more accurate assessment.

I havent checked in a bit because of finals etc.
but last I looked prices were dropping like mad.
Maybe it was only the high-end items that saw a huge price decrease?
