I believe the mechanic was it got faster as you attacked. It's not coming in i21 so I expect nothing in terms of info for some time.

Yeah, the original was...interesting. I like the redo much better. I might add the blue to the shoulders, and maybe mix it into the cape.
EDIT: Frankenslotted Aid Self is just really wrong at higher levels. Two interrupts can have it go off between DoT. Add in heal/recharges and you can get close to 3 SO Heals and 3 SO Recharges in those four other slots. -
DM/sr, or */sr with med pool. Once /sr is soft capped, it's rather solid. I actually like my Kat/sr scrapper quite a bit and have Claws, DB, and Fire in their 30s and one in their 20s.

Tanks:
1-40: 40
41-50: 50+
Scrappers:
1-40: 43
41-50: 50+
Defenders:
1-40: 30
41-50: 34
Controllers:

Blasters:
1-40: 33
41-50: 50+
Remember, that's just blue side ATs on blue side. How do my stats taste? -
Nope. See list of AVs. Frostfire and Atta are not on it. No team I have ever been on has spawned either as an AV and a team of 8 would easily do that.

Quote:My guess is unless I got rather hell bent on getting a DA to 50 with just plain SOs I wouldn't do it with inherit fitness and with no Incarnate and IOs. Add Incarnate and even just the +end proc and things get much easier. Add in more IOs and I'm looking to make it my main tank for a server. Yes, it can be played on SOs. I just prefer not to do so on a build that frustrating. Note my tank is Dark/stone.Goalposts have shifted a lot since the old days. What is considered "decent performance" now is quite a bit different than what was considered "decent performance" in Issue 2. You can still play the game the way you used to with nothing more than SO slotting and be at least as effective as you used to be (in the case of Dark Armor, it's quite a bit better now than it was). It's just that many people aren't satisfied with SO-level performance now that there are so many ways to exceed it. Sounds like you're one of them.
But not everyone plays that way, and they are not wrong or bad for having a different expectation of fun than we do. Let's keep that in mind. -

I think the usual suspects still come out on top. IMO, FF and Emp are still the odd sets out for higher end teams that are dealing with level shifts, IOs, and being Incarnate already. I think debuffs sets work the best. Just know that even outside of the trials themselves, teams can move rather briskly so I wouldn't lean on a set that can't keep up so to speak. Kin, Rad, Cold, Sonic, Dark, and Storm should be good. Dark's FS will be of no use outside of the tohit debuff on the prisoner escape phase. RI from Rad gets hardly used at all due to animation time. TA and Traps work, but will struggle at certain times due to how much teams move around, ie start of Lambda, speed TFs. Once you get at AV type spots, those will work rather well. /sonic is as pretty much always the best for TF/trials.

Quote:This. Anything cosmetic should be bought via the new store system/VIP reward. Anything that actually makes me more powerful in game should be earned in game.I might be wrong here, but maybe the problem is that hardcore grinding isn't something most costume harvesters are into. In other words, costume pieces appeal to the people who like the social aspect over playing the game, so those same people aren't happy when they are forced to do something they don't like in order to get their costume fix.

Quote:Ah, then I'll just add this to the list of people who said this idea had been beaten around already.Maybe we should clarify, just in case - I was referring to the COH Freedom and not the server, but perhaps you are doing the same - just checking.
Didn't try to imply they were. I was just mentioning the fact I got a cool name on Freedom and that was well after the game had been around awhile. -
The devs can say what they want to, but playing on SOs with inherit fitness and thus dealing with more powers with equal slots went out the door. About the only way a number of SO builds really perform decently would be after going Incarnate and that's a long wait.

Safeguards/Mayhems should be able to be done via flashbacks.

So when we get power set respecs, when do AT respecs happen?

On Freedom I got Sneakers, who only wears plain clothes and has a bio of "Tights are for sissies," and Mousetraps(Bots/traps) where I named all of the bots after cheeses.

Quote:For nothing that boosts my game play, but just makes me look cool. The trials are grindy enough as is so I'm passing on these.I was looking for this info and couldn't find it, so I gathered it myself on the Test server and here it is for anyone who may be wondering:
- Ascension Set: 7 items @ 10 Astrals or 3 Empyreals. 70 Astrals or 21 Empyreals.
- Ascension Radiance Set: 6 items @ 6 Empyreals. 36 Empyreals.
- Auras: 8 items @ 10 Astrals or 3 Empyreals. 80 Astrals or 16 Empyreals.
- Trail Auras: 6 items @ 3 Empyreals. 18 Empyreals.
- Chest Emblems: 15 items @ 1 Astral each. 15 Astrals.
- Emotes: 4 items @ 10 Astrals or 2 Empyreals. 40 Astrals or 8 Empyreals.
- Costume Change Emotes: 5 items @ 3 Empyreals. 15 Empyreals.
In order to unlock everything, you have to spend one of the following:
- 205 Astrals + 69 Empyreals.
- 195 Astrals + 71 Empyreals.
- 185 Astrals + 73 Empyreals.
- 175 Astrals + 75 Empyreals.
- 165 Astrals + 77 Empyreals.
- 155 Astrals + 79 Empyreals.
- 145 Astrals + 81 Empyreals.
- 135 Astrals + 83 Empyreals.
- 125 Astrals + 85 Empyreals.
- 115 Astrals + 87 Empyreals.
- 105 Astrals + 89 Empyreals.
- 95 Astrals + 91 Empyreals.
- 85 Astrals + 93 Empyreals.
- 75 Astrals + 96 Empyreals.
- 65 Astrals + 99 Empyreals.
- 55 Astrals + 102 Empyreals.
- 45 Astrals + 105 Empyreals.

- 25 Astrals + 111 Empyreals.
- 15 Astrals + 114 Empyreals.

I find BS a chore before 26. Period. Once you get the heavier attacks and get them boosted by AAO then that's when BS/sd becomes fun.
-
The inherit change to defender's damage pretty much kills any chance of defenders getting more damage.

Because the signature NPC for the AT has something like it. Other sets suffer from the lack of using Domination and yet work. I think it's a powerful set for a dom due to doms being more damage focused than controllers and Ill being the best ST based control set around. Think of how good Mind doms are at doing something like confusing an AV. Ill could do the same and then use it's pets. Mind doesn't have that advantage and Mind is generally considered the best dom set going. The fact that they could use PA to tank for an AT that has no heal would be a boost to survivability. It would also be cheap to get perma Domination with having a fear and confuse power.

Quote:One actually, Maestro. This assuming you are not including the Hess TF that you can unlock by completing the last arc for that zone. You'll face a few AV's in the Striga Island arcs in the 20's as well.
Here's the list of AVs in the game.
