Incarnate Content
I think the usual suspects still come out on top. IMO, FF and Emp are still the odd sets out for higher end teams that are dealing with level shifts, IOs, and being Incarnate already. I think debuffs sets work the best. Just know that even outside of the trials themselves, teams can move rather briskly so I wouldn't lean on a set that can't keep up so to speak. Kin, Rad, Cold, Sonic, Dark, and Storm should be good. Dark's FS will be of no use outside of the tohit debuff on the prisoner escape phase. RI from Rad gets hardly used at all due to animation time. TA and Traps work, but will struggle at certain times due to how much teams move around, ie start of Lambda, speed TFs. Once you get at AV type spots, those will work rather well. /sonic is as pretty much always the best for TF/trials.
It depends on what you wanna do.
Leadership powers are boosted for defender class.
Kinetics/eletric blast with power boost and -resistance interface is a BEAST. Also speed boost and increase density will be aoe castable in 20.5
Radiation/sonic blast
Dark/sonic blast
Those three are all in high demand
But honestly play what you like. All defenders bring something to a team.
Probably Cold.
Kinetics is -significantly- better in a league setting than it is on teams. Transfusion is probably the best healing power available for leagues. Other multi-target buff sets perform better too, on paper.
I wouldn't say there's anyone that performs -worse- on incarnate trials than on normal teams. Not among defenders at least.
Forgive me if this is a somewhat loaded question, but which defender(s) perform best in the incarnate content? Is there a significant difference between the sets and performance there?
Thinking about making a defender pretty soon and I'd like to have as much contribution as possible once I get up there.
Thanks.
