I'd go with what Werner hits here.

Regen may be very survivable and IO'd is easy to be very godly depending on your primary. Unfortunately for regen unless you build it as such you have minimal defense/resistance and that's what the teams don't like. If you're not on top of your game it's easy to go down very fast in comparison to other scrapper secondaries.

I myself generally like to know the person and the regen scrapper before I have them along on my MoWhatever, but in general I like to know everyone who comes along. There have been several times that I haven't however and I just went with a slightly different team makeup to help both the regen and the rest of the team with survivability, like bringing a couple Colds along for instance.

Regens are awesome, but sometimes they just aren't.

    Invictus ITF

I got bored, enjoy. (Yes I know it doesn't rhyme.)

Out of the Task Force I started
Grey as the stairs from Minotaur to Cyclopes
I thank whatever my team build may be
    For my unconquerable scrapper

In the fell clutch of Romulus
I have not face planted nor hit my accolades
    Under the bludgeonings of ambushes
My head is bloody, or I just popped more reds

Beyond this place of debuffs and Nictus
Looms but the horrors of a bad merit roll
And yet the menace of the Task Force
Finds and shall find me with more monies

It matters not how high the rooftops
How charged with lag the canyon
I am the master of my keybinds
I am the captain of my set bonuses.

    Empty.

Hiya, @Force here. Welcome to Champion Server, Zeph. I'm sure we can overwhelm you with info pretty easily so I'll keep it simple by adding only 3 things.

    1. It's not the build it's the player.
    2. Make more scrappers. (No really)
    3. Always keep it to the left. (Unless you already have the map memorized and it's actually a right turn...)

If you still find it hard to find teams after you've given Champion some time then... give it more time, join the channels. This is a great server but as said previously, most people already know each other (for the most part). Just butt your head into BMT I'm sure we'll have a few people willing to pick you up and tie you up. I mean show you the ropes.

I'm sure you're probably gotten it taken care of by now, but if you haven't post up your global handle here and we'll get about reeling you in. I think I might know a Mod that can help.

    Need anything else:

/t @Force, Hi Force this is _____. I'm bored, fix it.

Anyway. With the addition of the aggro cap I think it would be acceptable to bring Burn back to the glory that it once was. That's all I would want, don't add more cool stuff just give us Burn back.

My initial bug report was thorough. I have caught and stopped quite a few Kahn TFs from failing before they have begun since then, but I've also made contact with 11 teams across multiple servers that I wasn't able to stop in time and yes they had the same problem as well. All of them. I'm not sure how "solid" their teams were, but mine was set for AV destruction on massive levels.

Well, I've had way too many people asking me about this so I'll explain a little.

This is a repost from my post in the bugs section of the forums.

Don't bother doing a Dr. Kahn. Reichsman stays in his "god mode" no matter what you do. (yes we thoroughly tested this)

Here's what I got when I reported THAT:

"An Arch-villain or Hero is intended to be a very difficult enemy to defeat and take longer to defeat than normal bosses. In most situations, a team will be needed to defeat an Arch-villain or Hero of the same level. At this time, all Arch-villains and Heroes in the game are working as designed. We strongly recommend going to the forums as there is wealth of player based knowledge on the best strategies for Arch-villains and Heroes."

    ........ Oh Frackin' really.

I won't quote myself from my page long response, but I will summarize:

    1. Hi, I've been playing this awhile and I kinda know how stuff works thanks.

So, I had this huge rant about how angry I was about something and how I'd call out NC Soft on it. But I won't get ya'll involved. just done be surprised if ya don't see me on the forums anymore.
  13. You can cancel the MoKahn until further notice, it is bugged and uncompletable. You can thank I17 I imagine.
  14. On a side note, it's hard for people to sign up for an event when there is no time listed. I understand that you want to be able to accommodate people with a less versatile schedule. But first and foremost, accommodate yourself. Pick a time based one when you, the host can make it. Then make your post.

That way those that can make it to the scheduled time can sign up and know where and when. And those that can't make it, well.. their loss.

And if you want a Mo____ to be successful it's always a good idea to set a few guidelines to your team makeup instead up getting a hog-pile of whoever needs the badge. I don't believe I have ever (at least not in a long time) done a Masters run comprised of only characters that need the badge. More often than not I or someone I trust willingly takes a hit and brings something to fill the gaps.

I have provided below an excellent format for what I mean.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Time:
    Date:
    TF:

"I GATTACA, will be bringing a blaster. I'll need two more damage types, as well as a Tank, an Empath (If you believe in that kind of stuff, personally I don't Emps are for Hami raids or in the words of Silas, teams that are Lol), a Kin (Def/Troller doesn't matter) and two more of a buff/debuff class (A cold would be great!).

So please sign up with what you want/can bring to fill those particular needs."
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know it may seem unfair to build your team for success, but sometimes you just have to be the bad guy and go ahead and tell the mastermind to bring something else :P

Anyway... I'm still in as long as the time and date you choose fits into my oh so busy schedule. Just, ya know let us know when to be there.
  15. I always say "It's not the build it's the player" Which can evolve into 3 simple facts:

    1. Good players playing IO'd out builds can do great things.
    2. Bad players playing IO'd out builds suck at life.
    3. Good players playing SO'd out builds are better than #2 by far.

Ultimately a good player playing an IO'd out build IS going to out perform a good player playing an SO'd out build, but your lack of IOs isn't going to be as noticeable if you build your character well and play it well.

    Help on Kat/DA

SR and WP are geared towards very different ends as far as building them goes, but after the building is over they are both seemingly the types of sets where you toggle up and forget about it while you focus on the offensive. Not extra button mashing.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Turning to your build:

11 Points of KB Protection is decent enough, however from what I can make out that is one of the only things I can see that is on track for this build.

Low Hit Points even taking accolades into consideration.

    12.5% recharge.

Resistance to S/L is low without Tough, your defense very low.

    Decent Dmg bonus from sets.

You've got a very expensive build there that isn't going to hold up under any sort of a hard stress test. I might even venture to say that someone with a well slotted SO build might give you a run for your money on both damage output and survivability.

You've got the basic concept down for slotting, but you really need to be looking at the bonuses of all the possible sets you could be slotting, attempt to maximize the actual powers potential with the enhancements while at the same time looking at the bonuses of the sets you are choosing to do so with, a few extra slots to complete a set here and there and a few less in other areas would help greatly. You've got to prioritize, pick what attributes/bonuses you think would most help the build and slot accordingly. Your all over the place here with no shine to any particular attribute.

Before I even start a build I generally have a good idea in my mind of what my final goal #s are going to be, I then look at each power and the choices I have for set bonuses for that power. Look at ALL the bonuses, more often than not that 6ths slot of a set give off some pretty hefty help to your build.

I'd suggest deciding on a road and restarting from scratch. See what you can come up with and I'm sure there are plenty of folks here who can lend and hand and help you mold your build after you're got a better idea of where you want to take it.

Oh and have fun! Mids is an adventure! There are so many different things people choose to do with a resistance based build, some choose to scrap any defense and focus on resistance, recharge and HPs, others try to soft-cap some of the defense types (smashing/lethal/melee being the most common). Judging from this first attempt at a build you look like a Resistance/Recharge/HPs kinda guy so I'd suggest focusing on those first, or even play around with multiple build of different focuses.

This is true, that will generally happen in any case as you ramp up the difficulty. You can have all the accuracy in the world and still miss thanks to hit rolls. It's not a minuscule difference though you're right, it's noticeable.

He did not want DC due to concept. Therefore, DC was not an option and what you stated was false in reference to his build needing CP. As to the slotting you recommended in PP, it was simply worse than the slotting I had in it for end recovery.
ACTUALLY, if you go back and read what I wrote further up. I did acknowledge and agree with you that most of what I said about changes for his build were before I noticed his concept requirements and wouldn't fit. Forgive me if I thought all comments and discussion after that weren't about his build and were geared towards other versions of DM/SD.

It would seem that he's going for a concept build, and some of my comments don't fit his criteria. They are still good comments for anyone else however.

I also stated that what I had said was still solid advice for those looking for a non concept build, which was true. And yes, I correctly assumed and stated that you did not have experience playing a spec'd out version of the build in question and that at one point looking at mids wasn't going to get you as far as actually playing said build.

I said nothing about you having a so called lack of 50s time logged overal, I pointed out a fact which pertained to the topic at hand. A fact that I could tell by listening to your build advice for this particular combination of power sets.

I do apologize for having a straightforward and direct way of approaching something. I most certainly did not mean for you to get all defensive.

If I was in your shoes and had been wrong about something I most certainly would have been a man about it by acknowledging that indeed I was mistaken, which I was earlier in this thread and had admitted to.

So. You calling me self-righteous for being correct on some points and admitting that I wasn't on others isn't really doing you any good.

Arguing is fine, even heated arguments are fine. It proves that both sides are passionate about the subject matter, being wrong is even fine as long as you can have the courage to admit your mistake and learn from it which ultimately makes you better prepared for the next time. Calling people names for being corrected instead of learning from your mistakes isn't fine.

I am going to post this and then not reply to anything further you have to say that does not relate to this topic. I suggest you make whatever hot headed remarks you feel you must and then lets both move back to the topic at had, which would be helping others with whatever experience and knowledge we have. If a situation of disagreement forms, then lets try to maintain some form of civility as we work it out. It's not about me, it's not about you. It's about informing whoever asked the question with the most accurate information we can give.

    Correct on the Stamina slotting.

Although with the 30% Acc from the 2 purple sets you should be fine. With that slotting of Soul Drain in my build I have never had any sort of a problem whatsoever hitting targets for the boost. And if you find yourself in a huge mob of Cimerorans and can't hit any of them simply maneuver and attack to drop the -Acc hold on you. Or even simply jump straight up into the air and then pop soul drain as soon as you land works as well. There are so many different playstyle tricks so overcoming complications it's incredible.

And there's some more beauty, even if soul drain isn't perma all you have to do is open with it when you approach a mob. Your acc skyrockets and you hit like a champ for the next 30 seconds.
