Aloha Level 50 Channel,

Some of you may know but most more than likely do not know that the global channels have a max member number of 2500. It is amazing to think that we have been within 10-15 members of the cap now for the last 3 months.

The game is an ever revolving door of current, past and new players. We would like to make sure that everyone who can get an invite is able to get on the channel. I17 has a change for channel mods. We are able to “auto kick” any inactive player from the channel after a set amount of time.

I am setting the auto kick for “120” days. This is a reasonable amount of time to assume that if a player has not logged into the game for 4 months they are more than likely done with the game, not just taking a “break”.

Of course getting an invite back will be easy too. I have listed the global names of the Level 50 chat channel mods here.

On Test at least, the timeout command doesn't actually appear to work (at least not as advertised), though I'm not sure if this is because of an issue specific to Test, or if it'll also extend to the Live servers.

I doubt that using it would be "harmful" (it just doesn't boot people, or at least didn't appear to on Test), but it might not be a bad idea to hold off on using it until it's been confirmed that it works. After all, if it doesn't work, there's not much point in having it active anyway (and we should find out soon enough if it does work).

Doesn't it start counting the inactive time from when you set it? In which case setting it to 120 days means it won't kick anyone for 4 months from now?

Anyway it sounds like a good idea to prune the inactives from the channel if we're getting close to full.

Unknown.
As far as I know, that theory is pure speculation with nothing backing it up.
It's quite possible that it works that way, but I have seen nothing that would indicate it.

And, it does not do that on Test (at least not within the limits that it's been said to have. I obviously haven't been able to test it with 100+ days.).

Well, it certainly wouldn't be the only thing that's broken or bugged with this launch.

Hopefully it (and the other bugs) will be sorted out soon.
It'd be a very useful command to have.

So I know I fail at lifea nd all, I was trying to figure something out (silly binds and such) and accidentally left the channel. I was wondering if one of you all might be kind enough to reinvite me. I know I know....I'm a lame duck, but I figured I'd ask. Thank you. @sithramoonshade
