  1. LR will still spawn pets. Get rid of the blue tower earlier (Speed boost and Power boost) so he spawns less, less often.

And if your stoner is getting beaten, then I worry. Get an invul/ tank, then the pets are actualy counting towards his defence
  2. That's absoutely fine. On the condition that you change her to a fender in your post (cor, how many MoSTFs have we done :P, tut)

Running through the whole arc risks us coming up short tbh, 500 isn't possible in casual play, I really do recommend the warehouse mission method, and herding them up together for X hours (That's how i got the badge redside, and how we got the accolade for DJ's tank)
  3. For simple QoL stuff, a size slider simply in Icon would be fine.

Rename tokens will simply be bought, if you put an adjective of size in your name and a resize affects it, then lol, your loss. basically

You're overreacting to the size & toggle Radius thing (which affects, erm, not that many sets), to be quite frank. But that aside, considering the implications (which elude me, though i remember this being discussed before), somewhat /signed (though in no way as you discribed it, thanks)

    *shrug*

Oil slick does some knockdown as well. Quite a lot of control for a debuff set, but as you wish. (I'm not totally sure that there needs to be a distinction between those things really, but I guess it's the way they parcel up the goodies.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

By strict catagorisation (as TA/ lacks a mass hold, and mass immob) it is not a control set. However, i personally put it in the same box as Dark/. Nice debuffs, very nice soft control
  5. Anything done in the costume creator has nothing to do with powers, in the way you described

    Without inspirations/temps?

[/ QUOTE ]Why would you do anything without insps? I can understand not using temp. powers, they're either finite or take work to get, but T1 insps are practically free.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Challenge badges? Not sure if you get them on the TFs but I cant think of any other reason......

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, you get those on Arcs and Task Forces (just waiting for my next Positron to be 'Only AT powers, no Inspirations' ). Only thing that doesn't give them is single missions (i.e the badge ones)
  7. I might be about defcon. Have this on main badger (and troller :S), happy to bring Feist along to force bub the suckers into a corner or something.

Travelling about the day before, so pencil me in, but It's possible i may be unable to log in

What? Hordelings are ice-based? U SRS?!

Seriously. I didn't know that. Probably because I can't remember ever actually fighting Hordelings.

    Oh well.

@Xemulas: COT demons are the only demons in the game. Also, all MM attacks (Robots and Thugs sets excluded) are cut-pastes from Blaster and Corruptor primaries. I don't see why fire would be any worse.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thugs get dual pistols, Bots gets rifle attacks unavailable to AR/ corrs

Edit: excluded, I see *finds his reading glasses*

Yep, that's true, Necro are dark ports, ninjas are archery ports.
My point still stands, the pets are unique to the MM, and not drawn from an enemy faction (at point of design). Correct me if i'm wrong. The set is fine as is, just, don't use the CoT demons, please...sick of looking at 'em
  9. Easy.

Have solo'd it on my Kat/DA, my Ice/Cold, and my Illu/Storm

So long as you're prepared for the AVs (or EBs, I should say), then you're in for some fun
  10. Don't know about anyone else, but a set that uses hackneyed cut-pastes from the CoT, and mostly from fire/ primary, would sure make me feel like the retarded runt of the litter.

    Also, Hordelings with fire :S

the longbow should probably use the purple code so that 50s cant just come along and wipe out the entire spawn in one go to get the power

    [/ QUOTE ]

Edit: guess i should read things properly.

Problem being, why would 50s come back to help out, (or anything higher than lvl 5, which is when i leave mercy for PO), come back to deal with it? Defiant Villains, 1am, let's say...the 2 or 3 people online might get smooshed, and nobody would care to help

Is a wee bit more correct.
It is more a random encounter when people take out GMs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

True, though, I think PRAF was more concerned about little new villains in Mercy (outside of Seer Marino, Grillo's arc, and maybe the BM if cap is too 'scene' for you, who the hell goes to mercy?) getting one shotted by another GM that nobody will care about
  13. Xemulas

    GM to be i say

Problem with that is, thematically [SPOILER] mercy is meant to be a proving ground for the destined ones, Lord recluse wouldn't let anything to dangerous run around free. Plus, the snakes god is actually a foe in a lvl 45-50 arc, so you'd have to fabricate why a Giant one, more powerful than their God, exists (btw, the 'God', is from the same vein as Statesman, her powers come from the well of the Furies)
  14. I have a dark/traps, and my plans to IO him out involve +defence as a priority (he is part of a duo, with FFG and maneuvers, we're a smidgeon off the soft cap), and +recharge after that.

If you like, send me a PM and i'll try and knock something up in Mids that focusses on recharge? Outside of that, all i can advise is procs on Poison Trap, Hasten, and a few sets for the traps (Sadly, the only decent ranged set for bonuses that isn't the purple one, stops dropping at level 40...it's like gold dust)
  15. I've had Penny, Blabbermouth and Glacia con as critters and attack us before. Same as night, Daedalus too. Never imperious, though it doesn't surprise me...
  16. When did that happen?

Nice on Night, slipped one under the net there. And it's not a scrapper!

Not a personal insult. examples of personal insult = "you are stupid" or "stop being an A S S".

The swords are stupid in that they simply wouldn't do the job they are supposed to. The Mona Lisa is beautiful, but it would make a stupid weapon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think you can really say that.

I mean, have you ever tried to use the Mona Lisa as a weapon? It might be awesome!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd imagine it would have a 50% chance for a mag 100 confuse. The foes would fight amongst themselves over their knowledge of the arts

these badges have the potential to be inadvertantly discriminating in the sense that they reward something that cannot be learned ingame (the ability to write a good story)

    [/ QUOTE ]

But come I13 this too can be learned in the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, I'm dubious. I hope that there aren't badges tied to it (both for my own sanity, and to save people a total load of chaff being made to farm the badges), but if they are, will still work for them. Was merely voicing some concerns

Thanks. Fancy posting in reply to my overall message, and not nit-picking on the fact that a badge (infact, why not mention Reveller/Celebrant for late subscribers, or Vip for people who don't own collecters, or blah blah) is neigh impossible to obtain?

Let me reprhase: The majority of the badges ingame are based on ingame achievement/skill/talent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but as I pointed out, there does exist precedent for badges that are not related to in-game skill or accomplishments. The many event and aniversary badges, for instance, or the V.I.P badge. Any badges that rewards the ability to make good missions for the game do not, in any way, break with prior policy. Besides, they would constitute more of an "ingame achievement" than, for instance, Merrymaker or Allegiant.

    [ QUOTE ]
NOT, RL: Writing ability. Heck, a lot of players aren't first language english speakers, are they going to be permitted to write in their mother tongue?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Considering NCSoft (and Cryptic's) attention to localisation and their French and German communities, I would hazard a guess that the mission editor is fully localized and that missions can be sorted by language.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But anyone can achieve Merrymaker or Alliegant (by that i mean, have logged in at the right time, have been playing long enough). Those are down merely to timing. Though you are right, any new badges within the PCC system isn't exactly against the grain of anything, I'm just simply not comfortable with it- some of the bigger/rare badges require a lot of work, but can be done...these badges have the potential to be inadvertantly discriminating in the sense that they reward something that cannot be learned ingame (the ability to write a good story)

I wonder if there'll be badges for creating missions, and if they'll be tied to the mission rating, or to just creating a mission?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Why not both?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I suspect there will be lots of badges - if they tie each unlock to a badge then they've automatically hooked all the obsessive badgers into the new system - a good bedrock to build upon and make sure tons of new content is being made so the system will perpetuate itself.

    [/ QUOTE ]

See, this is where i have a *massive* issue. Badges for what? Writing good content? AS things stand, the current badges are obtainable by everyone, as it's down to ingame knowledg/skill. Being able to write a good story *is not* grounds for badges, on the terms that it will alienate plenty of badgers that simply aren't confident about their writing (this includes me, I want a good privacy filter/password protector on the damn thing). I don't agree that it will hook badgers, on the contrary, if it's based on 'write X arcs' or 'get X 5 star rating', it will put people off...that's my assumption

If it's: You've unlocked room detail: Giant Wheel, for some rating, and you gained the 'Novelist' badge for *PLAYING* someone elses content, then that's a more sensible way of promoting the system, and inspiring people to write things (those who are good are rewarded in ways that interest them, and doesn't seclude badgers, badgers can play some of these good arcs and have fun, unharmed)
  22. [ QUOTE ]

.The 2nd one would be there Secret Identity, and would be limited

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That put me off instantly

The idea of contacts being unlocked through secret IDs i admit, is novel, and actually kinda neat...but once you start getting into time travelling/dimension hopping/huge Nemesis plots..how much is Mr.Pencil Pusher really going to offer you, beyond a tip that Barbra down in accounting is dating a hellion?

    /unsigned, save it for CoX2
  23. I don't want my personal beliefs on advertising to interfere with badge hunting, thanks.

I have them turned off. The same thing could have been done for 'COAL BURGER' and 'They are watching you...' ingame ads, but hasn't been done.

This is a gigantic /unsigned, from me. Novel idea, but the notion of it boils my blood
  24. Check it on Mids. Remember, you've only got 120% while hasten is up, you have to account for the downtime too.

Eg: i've got 75% global rech, not permadomination, nor perma hasten. Iirc, you need 120% *global* rech, that's not including hasten. Hence sets that can boost their own rech (illu/rads being a good example), get it easier

    Ghost Widow

I checked out [Iron Will] ingame, it said 10 mag res. Though i may not have been looking at the top insp. My point still stands, you wont have enough time to take her down, and its a lot of your insp tray to dedicate to rare insp
