Bad suggestion that appeals to people who want it all, and want it right now. The counterarguments, for NC, are really quite massive. Stop people making alts, and you remove a huge time sink. Money.

I don't care for swapping any of my alts to other powersets, that's what new alts are for...so, can't personally see the appeal, and if NC is loooooosing people, as you so aptly and confidently claimed from between your soft and delightful buns, reducing its potential revenue is a pretty dumb way to try and solve that, no?

Interesting side note.

We neglected to take Tenny Tents, simply because 2x/4x Stacked caltrops has a 50 mag fear (a component few players are aware of). They run around in the patch like headless chickens while we Poison Trap/Toebomb/Night Fall the buggers into oblivion.

Immobilise interferes with the Fear/Headless chicken component of Caltrops.

Just food for thought, both approaches work of course

I did this with a close friend of mine. 2x Dark/traps.

Normal content was a walk-over, we had to get fillers! (this was in the days before the new fangled difficulty system)

2x FFG, 2x Manuevers, Stealth + set bonuses = softcapped duo. That's not even taking into account the -tohit. Procced Puke traps and trip mines are icing on the cake.

/traps duos are awesome, I highly recommend it

I'm currently suspending this service, as of Monday the 28th September.

Lay your traps ahead of time and pull the mobs into them?

Poison Gas Trap, ladened with procs, alongside Acid Mortar, caltrops, and Achille's Heel Proc slotted into the mercs, makes for a surprisingly tasty ensuing gunfight.

Also, as much as I like /Trick arrow, I wouldn't recommend it highly. Absolutely no mitigation for those sticky mercs unless you're very active in the act of debuffing. A lot of hard work for very little comparative gain over /traps.
