Dual /traps corruptors?
It would be a great pairing, IMO.
You won't need a whole lot to Def cap each other if you stay in each other's FFG range. You'll get ~15% from each FFG properly slotted, plus if you go Mace, that'll cap you with Hover + Scorpion Shield. Nothing else really needed, off the top of my head.
Pretty sure Acid Mortar's debuffs stack, plus one can toe bomb while the other sets up AM to take the aggro. Dual Drones, Dual caltrops... you are going to rule the field. You'll be able to stun bosses more easily, etc.
Its basically traps' awesomeness doubled. Who wouldn't love that?
Have you decided upon primaries? I'd like to suggest one of you goes Sonic (for the -res debuffs), and the other goes Fire (for AoE damage). Lay traps or open with seeker drones, Sonic debuffs with their cone, and Fire lays out the extra hurt.
Plus, if you went Mace, you'll have the web -immob AoEs to keep everyone where you want them.

Yes, I like Force Fields.
I did this with a close friend of mine. 2x Dark/traps.
Normal content was a walk-over, we had to get fillers! (this was in the days before the new fangled difficulty system)
2x FFG, 2x Manuevers, Stealth + set bonuses = softcapped duo. That's not even taking into account the -tohit. Procced Puke traps and trip mines are icing on the cake.
/traps duos are awesome, I highly recommend it
If I was doing this I'd probably go for two Dark/Traps. Doubled Tenebrous Tentacles means everything is immobilized all the time, even bosses. That would help a lot in dealing with the fear effect from the AM making everything scatter. The -tohit would be nice too. With that and double FFGs and double Maneuvers you'd be quite durable.
You don't need Dark Blast to make it work of course. Stacked Caltrops would help a lot too, but even with their movement speed floored mobs can still make it out and take off running in my experience.
Any primary would work well really. 2xFFG + 2xManeuvers + CJ/Hover means you could blast away with impunity in the majority of situations. After you hit level 35 you can handle the rest by pulling into double mine fields.
Hmm. I like the Dark/Traps suggestion, too.

Yes, I like Force Fields.
Interesting side note.
We neglected to take Tenny Tents, simply because 2x/4x Stacked caltrops has a 50 mag fear (a component few players are aware of). They run around in the patch like headless chickens while we Poison Trap/Toebomb/Night Fall the buggers into oblivion.
Immobilise interferes with the Fear/Headless chicken component of Caltrops.
Just food for thought, both approaches work of course
I'd say one Ice/Traps and Dark/Traps teamed would be very....nasty. Slows, holds, immobilizes from the primaries plus all the debuff and defense in the secondary sounds really good. Oh yah and the -recharge.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
Hmmm, just thinking... two high-level traps corruptors stacking the maximum amount of Trip Mines in one spot should quite easily be able to set up a very big bada-boom. I wonder what might be able to survive such fireworks.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
Over the double XP weekend I helped a friend level his dark/traps with my AR/traps. It was pretty insane having two FFGs going and my Scorpian Shield. Then we added in a widow for even more defensive goodness. Unfortunately the dark/traps wasn't high enough for trip mines, but the double acid mortar was nice.
Has anyone ever run two /traps corruptors together?
I'm talking about two friends each using a different account. How good are two force field generators together? Two acid mortars? What sort of defense can me and my friend get if we run two force field generators and take Weave, Combat Jumping and maybe Maneuvers?
Would anyone recommend this and would you recommend any particular primary?
Thanks for any help!
