Didn't know my space was full of villian AT's that are damn annoying in PvP
I like it! Not sure about the Tier 9s though (Surely Spider 'Bombs' would explode, not use powers?) so maybe give the control set a modified Gun Drone instead with Burst and Snare Wire. As for the Assault set, the AoE Snipe from the AR Epic could be a little overpowered, would replace it with Flamethrower and replace Build Up with Targetting Drone (Maybe swap Ignite with Sniper Rifle as Ignite's damage with a control primary would be insane)

The tactical rifle set looks remarkably like the arachnos soldier set. Not sure if that is such a good idea even if it makes sense. I personally like the rifle butt and the bajonet option.
I was trying to stray from the spider soldier like weapon powers like web grenades and venom grenades, I added a few powers from Wolf Spiders, PPD ghosts and Merc Spec-Ops and added a few of my own 
A total of 14 of my nerves have been harmed in the making of this post...

Might be fun set. Definatly for this!
Make it a tactical shotgun or grenade launcher rather than a rifle (as that's already in the game and I'd prefer something that looks different), and I'm game.

I concurr. It's a good set. I have reservations about the Tier 9 also but I do feel this would bring an additional dimension to the game.

I suppose they could do what they did with fire imps, recycle an old model (Monkeys), so for spider bombs just very tiny arachnobots tainted silver.
Just so you know, the bombs are fired out of the rifle and emerge from orbs to spider bots.
and I myself am glad you like my original idea, I'll try to keep them up

The venom stuff and grenades are indeed an arachnos idea. Of course he can get a web grenade from the devices set. But objection withdrawn.
One other thing though. The LRM rocket is a top tier special power from the munitions set available only after level 45. It can't be the same one of course.

The reason I put this in is because there isnt enough gun sets...Theres 1, and 3 minor gun sets only available with masterminds (at the moment)
But I see your point, weapons are taking over the game, that is because the devs have practically used up most super powers that can fit in.

There are more than enough gun sets. One is more than enough.
Don't have a problem with weapons, per se.. it's just guns. In a super hero MMO, they're naff, and imo at least, rather unoriginal given the number of other games out there that are centred around gun combat.
This is a "Suggestions" forum, not a popularity one, so don't expect to "please everyone".

I like the idea of a Controller/Dominator set that has a drawn weapon or device, much like Trick Arrow is for Defender/Corruptors. Wonder if this might work as an Arrow based set even, though it would be funny to see a Tac Rifle/Trick Arrow Controller constantly redrawing between primary and secondary powers.

Alternatively, if I was simply trolling for the sake of it then it worked as intended.
But back to topic, I still would like to see other gun sets (not gun-kata though, burn in hell).
Just a thaught after seeing a few of the PPd Swats and Ghosts, I wanted to make a few powersets alike to the ones used and mix in a few of my own, yes yes, this may seem improbable, but I'd like to see...
TACTICAL RIFLE (Controller/Dominator Primary)
1) Snare Wire (Immobilise, Smashing DoT)
2) Gas Capsule (Hold, smashing/toxic DoT)
3) Shock Wires (AoE Immobilise, smashing/energy DoT)
4) Flashbang Grenades (AoE -Acc, -Perception, Confuse)
5) Tear Gas (AoE Hold)
6) Trip Wire (targeted AoE, foe Knockdown)
7) Glue Grenade (AoE Slow, -Recharge)
8) Sleep Grenade (AoE sleep, -def)
9) Spider Bombs (Summon 3 Bombs. powers: Swipe, Shock, Tranq Dart, Glue Grenade, Burst, Detonate. Resistances: Lethal, toxic, psi, fire)
Assault Rifle (dominator secondary version) (Proliferated)
1) Burst
2) Rifle Butt
3) Shotgun
4) Slug
5) Build Up
6) Bayonet
7) M30 Grenade
8) Ignite
9) LMR Rocket
The powersets will include the same weapon customisations as Assault rifles. The secondary powerset is entirely proliferated to be similar to other assault powersets and powers may need to be looked up here, here and here
