But them running away, and then come strolling back... "I know I was running for some reason, but I can't remember why..." that's kind of silly.
    Amen to this

Peoples knee jerking is coming from the mass of such posts, I reckon.

Basically, the answer is the same as I've been trying to give on the other threads.
Next Issue. Thats when the Incarnate system goes live. Thats when it was always going live. That will have the level 50 stuff that you and, yes, other are craving. The key is patience; good things take time.

The fact that Positron and an entire sub-team in Paragon Studios are working exclusively on end-game content and the Incarnate system should be reassuring.
  3. It's so bad, it's a slap in the face!!

((Yes, yes I went there ))
  4. The bar for missions has, quite rightly, been raised.
    Long live Praetoria.

Female Arachnos minions, please. That should be one of the easier groups to add in female options for, t'be honest.

There was something else I was gonna add...but its gone and skipped my mind now...
  6. I found it amusing how he couldnt 'sign off' by becoming street pizza off of Tyrants tower. That was funny.

Also, he did get the Mission Teleporter wrong. I mean, it can work across whole zones. He kinda short changed that.
It wasnt a terrible review, and he did give it some fairly good praise as he took into account 'This came out in 2004. Go figure.'

The comments I see are the same trollish anti-cox stuff I expect. The happy players are in game playing and busy. The likes of those who went to CO and whatnot are the ones who always slam CoX in comment boxes.

I have a character who's been mid-arc on Hero's Hero (I think he was stalled because of a timed Diabolique mission I really didn't want to do), so I'll have to check out what's changed.
    I'll give you a reasoning.

The timed missions arent that bad, to be honest. More acknowledging they are there.
But the giant outdoor maps with Defeat All? God I hate them. I realised how utterly attrocious they are when teaming in PI the other day.

Yeah. Im really hoping, now that GR is out of the bag, that the much, much needed restoration of Paragon City begins.

Come ON people, there is Issue1 junk in there that is still making the core of the game suck where it should rock.
    /rant

In all seriousness, you can only go so far with 'New Shinies', until you suddenly realise the Ferrari you thought you were driving has a rusted chassis and an engine from a Ford Fiesta.
  10. The old Praet content was a load of guff that dates back to I1. It was prehistoric, clunky, fairly badly written and pretty badly designed too. Hell, MOST of the Portal Corp stuff is. Its a very simple formula which you can crack after...oo..three missions?
    -Massive outdoor map, defeat all
    -Massive outdoor map, defeat all
    -Massive outdoor map, defeat all
    -Timed mission of Massive Annoyance
    -Massive outdoor map, defeat all

On and on and bleeding on.
It was junk, and it got cut out and refurbished like it should have been for years. Good riddance I say. Heres to the new dawn of Paragon Studios current talented mission writers and builders.
  11. I'd prefer it if there was a tailor in the tutorial. A free one, so that you can make last minute changes to the costume 'in the air' as it were. The ammount of times I've taken a costume out of the editor, then noticed all the litte things that are 'wrong' is staggering.

Anyone got screenies of the Tsoo and Freak guys?
  13. Human form Khelds are fairly easy to pass off, imo.

VEATs don't need any alternate explaining though, frankly. You don't need Arachnos to have access to an assault rifle that ISNT a horrible franken-gun. Most normal weapons pack single shot, burst and full auto, and adding a grenade launcher and a bayonet is pretty damn easy too.
Fortunatas? Offensive but team based (or not) psionicists. Night Widows? Whatever ninja-esque, poison dart, mind power wielding type you want.
Heck, even Crab Spiders aren't that hard to work around. Freakshow Meatdocs, anyone? General exoskeletal rigs with arms? Lack of any real customisation on them shouldnt hinder cool concepts.

I agree thats its hard to RP Kheld forms as anything other than what they are, though, at least until/if we ever get alt forms for them.
  14. Uh...no. ONE level of the Incarnate system was going to be in GR, but didnt work to their standards without the rest of the content to go with it. The systems itself didnt get cut.
    So...no. Just no.

Tower is an unstoppable machine made of the strongest metal. Pious is an angelic spirit with elemental powers. Tower vs Pious = Tower being teleported away. Again, and again and again. Problem postponed until Dunelm Group can come and just collect it and deal with it.

It's simple; Pious is a religious pacifist. He would only throw a punch if there was no better/other option. You know that. So he would never truly recognise Tower or any other machine as an actual credible threat when its just a lifeless object, unlike a person (who has human and moral rights). You want to give Priest a real fight? For drama or whatever other reason that I don't actually understand? Then maybe pull a Kahn. Back in that fight, Pious had no other choice but to place himself as a shield and try to stop Kahn fulfilling his threat to kill more Longbow. Even in-game that was a one-way fight. I could have had Pious use granite armour and keep healing until everyone got bored, or have him use his gravity control skills and teleport/wormhole Kahn all day or until he makes a mistake and fails (as he would have done with Impervium Tower in Moth Cathedral had Jemma not done it first). But I didn't do that because Pious was psychologically faulted; he knew deep down that he was guilty as charged and deserved every blow he received from Kahn, so he just took it.

You say the Impervium Tower plot is a mess? I thought it only just started? You and Eleven planned a big towering fight? Well it seems to me that both the Ghost of Death and the Priest were in no mood to fight anything. Jemma sent the threat away or trapped it somewhere. Problem postponed. And now Dunelm Group are taking steps to 'solve' it. Dude, its not my fault if RP doesn't always play out as you want it to. We all try to stay true to our characters and so they will always do whatever it is that they do. And what Pious does best is peace-talk his enemies to boredom. You're not really gonna get a fist fight out of him.
Sorry, but this just smacks of one thing, reading that post.

    The Priest wins.
The Priest will always win. Because he can do anything, and survive anything, and teleport anything away. You can't kill the Priest. You can't even have a half decent fight with him. It just-

Meh. I'm frankly giving up on the Open Season Plot until things get into line a bit more, tbh. Take that whatever way you want, I really don't care. Thats my opinion, and its one im sticking too. This whole thing IS a mess (no fault of Eleven's, either), and I want no part in that. Once Game can post a bit more, maybe I can get involved again with that side of things.

    Until then, ciao.
  18. Seems most everything I can think of has been throught of.
    One I didn't spot, before I skipped forward though;

-Remove the daft glow from Super Strength. I dont want my troll to have glowing hands when he punches stuff. He no longer has to glow simply from being a badass (willpower), why does he have to glow when 9 foot of peeved muscle punches someone so hard the screen rocks? No-glow for SS would be great (leave the screenshake, as I love that, and it can be turned off under options as it is atm )
  19. Tarantulas. Smack 'em all over until they fall down or blow up. *nods*
  20. To add to Damz, its a bit damn pointless letting EU players win physical copies, as they'll be US versions. Unless we missed a memo somewhere that they magically made EU versions too...

  21. My one gripe with the resistance hat is that you cannot use 'Goggles up' with it. While the Resistance can.
    *sigh*
I see why, though. Certain hats would have to be marked 'dont allow x, y and z costume parts' while others would need to be marked 'allow etc'
Something for a future revamp I hope.
  22. Awesome sauce. That better not get cut.

We have one player on Union who does just that. His boss is an ecentric, fast-talking, roguish Magus-Colonel from a galactic Irish Space Empire. He's an ex-cop turned butler with heavy armour and a mace. They-! Don't fight crime, actually. They tend to do the opposite, actually. Well, Archie does the crimes, and Luddgate tidies up after him very fun to RP with. And hes a good hitter too.
