So impressed with new missions.

I have yet to run into a kill all since GR! The new missions are awesome! I just met myself from the future and it was awesome. Overall the missions have been really cool! Mind you i'm a farmer and usually don't do anything but Tfs and Farm in pve, but this is much much better!

Yep the new missions are amazing, they have definitly learnt a lot from the original CoH missions, and even the CoV missions. There are so many uniuque missions in GR, reminds me of the RWZ mission where you arrive and for once, everything is nice and orderly at the conference. That was obviously just a taster of things to come!

It is easy to take for granted, but it is so nice to see the game continuing to improve in every aspect. There is still more room for improvement, but I have a lot of faith in their abilities. :-)

I just ran into my first kill all in the new content. I got it at 16 on one of the later contacts, it was in a small map and they gave me a helper NPC. Seriously, solo it was perhaps 20 enemies at the most.

Quite possibly the least annoying 'kill all' I've ever seen in-game.

I for one love the arc you get from Reese. Great fun.

There's been some very tough missions though. The finale of helping Seer 1153(?), the last mission of Alec Parson's arc (So many Clockwork), and I love the 'get in and out before security arrives' missions.

The bar for missions has, quite rightly, been raised.
Long live Praetoria.

I love them too, love every single mission I've come across in Praetoria.

I had one mission where I had to steal a cyber-brain from Anti-Matter at one stage, seemed simple enough, fought my way through his Clockwork, found the glowie, clicked it, and suddenly big red words flash up on my screen. 'ALERT' and I see the objective has changed from 'Get the brain' to 'Find a brain, ANY BRAIN!' and 'Get out before Anti-Matter arrives!' don't think I've ever been so exhilarated by a mission like that. Ever.

Too bad Praetoria is only for the newly created 1-20 Praetorians... Imagine how shocked I was to find out that omg, not only can't lvl 50s go to Praetoria, but even low lvl players in that lvl range can't.

I can't even been to describe how insanely retarded a concept like that is. Let's release a new expansion that you can't even enjoy a huge chunk of it unless you make a new character, and then only for 20 levels.

1: Primal Earth characters will be able to visit Praetoria later on, probably Issue 19 or 20
2: What would be the point of bringing primal earth lowbies there, they don't fit in with the story.
3: The game is very alt driven, which is why we have up to 32 slots per server.
4: Solo and the levels go slow, but with lots of content in them.

Which as I was saying is pretty retarded. I like playing my 50s, I have tons of fun with my current ones. One I've never tired of playing. I want to do stuff with it. Why bother releasing an actually expansion if you have to wait for several issues to even make good use of it.

None, I'm not suggesting they should be able to. Just point out that not only can't 50s go there yet, but you have to create a whole new toon to play the new content. Means all those lowbies you have yet to lvl are no good since no one will start blue or red anymore.

If you buy more. And an alt driven game is a fallacy. It's no surprise why the servers died steadily over time. Only the hardcore love so many alts. Many people like to make concepts they enjoy and play those through content and bring them through new content that is released. And for such an alt driven game the arch are seriously lacking in diversity. Having the same powers but on one too you get -def instead of of -recharge does not make an interesting different power.

Are you suggesting people should solo so that it takes longer to hit 50 and they can hit all content? That is pretty ludicrous. Why play an MMO if you aren't getting into the social aspect of the game. And only reemphasizes to me the game's lack of end game content.

New box and starting content to drawn in new players?

Can still get friends and find channels to run teams to level them, and they come over at 20, so there's the chance to level with them too. Super Sidekicking after all, something the game is renowned for.

Start with 12, 2 more with GR, that's 14, one for every year of playing too. I'll agree we could do with more content through the game though, but content is always good.

I'm just saying how I'm playing it. 4 Alts to go through the storylines solo as much as possible, 4 others to team with friends (Those classes less soloable mostly, like my Stalker)

If I didn't know what I was talking about, refused to read instructions, and bought things without paying any attention to what they were, I'd be more careful throwing phrases like "insanely retarded" around.

If.

You know what I really like. My contacts continue to ask me to kill.

Not arrest, not knock out, not take down... I'm KILLING! Woohoo!

And not to give away anything to those who may not have gotten it yet, but there's even a mass murder choice. I'm so happy.

Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

Imagine how un-fun it would be for actual new players to start out (which they're obliged to do - first characters on new accounts now must start in Praetoria) in a new game where swarms of 50s are running around like locusts, killing everything for badges and quests and herding PLing groups through missions and telling everyone how to play?

I think it's quite reasonable to restrict the content for an issue or two.
